The Vancouver Island Furs (VI Furs) is a group of furries residing on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Most live in Victoria, however there are quite a few furs living in Nanaimo and scattered throughout the island.

The group was defunct for a period of time, but saw a resurgence thanks two furs by the names of Mikomi and Kyroo resurrected the group, their first meet consisted of 7 furs in a local house playing poker. By the next month, the numbers had grown to 15 and at the March 2013 meet had 23 furs present with more on the roster. They met, every second sunday, at a location determined on bcfurries.com.

Another resurgence of the group was during a period between 2015 and 2017 when Fangblde, Jerome, Ph8l, and Milo worked together to host events in Victoria and the surrounding areas. Events were primarily posted on the bcfurries.com forums. After Telegram became popular, the use of a locally based server was used to determine events. At some point the Vancouver Island Furries group was split into two due to a conflict between certain members. After a period of about four months, one of the two groups was deleted and Vancouver Island Furries became the only Telegram server dedicated to people on Vancouver Island.

Furries among the VI Furs include Mikomi, Kyroo, Sokatak, Jerome fox, Senti, Lady Bones, Ph8l, Fangblade, Milo, Drake Wingfire, Alan Tabby, Bandit, Tj Bluevulpine, Drewdle, and several others.

The VI furs regularly hosted meets and events on the Island. Contact Mikomi for info on events and meets; Mikomi.kitty@gmail.com, or on bcfurries.com and Mikomi.

The Vancouver Island Furries Telegram group can be accessed by messaging @LordRollie, @JeromeFox, @Shirou14, or @milkymilk. As of 2016, it had become the primary method of communicating and transmitting information related to events.
