Rose Threetail-LaCroix, previously known as Vulpecula Threetail, is a writer and scholar of medieval history who lives in Oregon, U.S.A. She is most commonly known as Threetails.

She is not to be confused with Vulpecula, a UK-based fur.

Vulpecula's fursona is a three-tailed red fox hybrid including some kit fox and bat-eared fox. Starting in 2012, her fursona was changed from male to female to reflect her gender more correctly.

She has one active alternate fursona, Canelle DeLage, a genet.

Personal Life
As of April 2010, Threetails is engaged to her long-time partner Kobi LaCroix.

In 2011, she and Kobi relocated to the West Coast and are now happily settled in Beaverton, Oregon.

In 2013, after a long hiatus, she returned to college where she shifted her focus toward medieval history, a change that has been reflected in her recent writing.

Furry activities
Rose is occasionally seen at furry events, and has attended several London Furmeets, Anthrocon 2004, and Mephit Furmeet 9. She also attended Oklacon from 2008 to 2010 and Wild Nights from 2009 to 2012. More recently she has attended Further Confusion and RainFurrest following her move to She is also an avid writer of furry fiction and was a panelist at Further Confusion 2015.

Writings
Many of Three's writings can be found on her Weasyl page.

Occidentania Cycle
As of May, 2015, her novel-length output has focused on a metanovel known as the Occcidentania Cycle. While the books have not been released in order for various reasons, clarify they follow the rough order listed below.

The Goldenlea
The Goldenlea is a medieval low-fantasy novel set in the same world as Basecraft Cirrostratus, but 650 years earlier. It is more of a low-fantasy epic than the previous book. It involves the struggle of a duke deposed by scheming courtiers and his bisexual love triangle with a female outlaw and his male captain of the guard. It is the first book in her Occidentania Cycle and introduces many of the memes, settings, and characters seen throughout the story. It was the first book begun, back in the fall of 2003, and was finally released by Furplanet at Further Confusion 2013.

Basecraft Cirrostratus
Basecraft Cirrostratus is a novella written by Threetails between 2007 and 2009. It was published by Furplanet and released at Anthrocon 2010. It follows the lives of Elor, a professor on the run from a brutal dictator, his former lover Vinz, Vinz's current love interest Laz, and a young ferret named Alrie as they try to survive in the criminal underworld within the cargo holds of the title craft. It is the second book in her Occidentania Cycle and introduces a secondary story arc.

Escape From St. Arned
Escape from St. Arned, initially given the working title of "Lady of Foxgold" is the sequel to Basecraft Cirrostratus. It picks up just a few months after the first book and deals with the complicated consequences of choices the main characters made in the first book. It was released at 2014.

The Vimana Incident
The Vimana Incident, which briefly had the working title "Godric of Hereford Lies Dying," is the last of the Occidentania Cycle. It is only loosely connected to the first four books as it takes place entirely in the secondary world. Intended as a tribute to Phihlip K. Dick, it includes some of the most overt Gnostic themes of any of Rose's writing to date. It begins in England an alternate 1939 where the Second World War was averted by a space race, then jumps to an off-world colony in 2606, France in 1153, Postwar England in 1946, and finally Humboldt County, California in 2039. It was released at Furry Fiesta 2015.

Pit bull is a term used to describe several breeds of dogs with similar physical characteristics and lineage, including the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the American Bully, the American Staffordshire Terrier and occasionally the American Bulldog, descending from the extinct Old English Bulldog and Bulldog-terrier crosses. Pit bulls have even been confused for Labrador Retrievers (as well as the other way around) because both pit bulls and Labradors have similar large, square heads. Pit bulls are often a target of breed specific legislation, or legislation that wants to ban or limit ownership of any breed deemed dangerous. This is due to the dog's reputation for unprovoked assault, and origin for use dog fights and other blood sports such as bull-baiting. Despite this reputation, pit bulls have been successful pets, police dogs and therapy dogs.

Pit bulls and furry
Pit bull characters are often seen in the furry fandom, though perhaps less often than more popular types/breeds, such as the Siberian Husky.

A Chicago based Pit Bull rescue called Furry Friends Foundation was the charity for Midwest Furfest 2004. The foundation brought a few of its dogs to the convention and received over $7,000 in donations from the con. The shelter had seen its highest adoption rate ever in June 2006 when, in August of 2006, they announced that they were being forced to close their doors unexpectedly for reasons known only to the trustees.

The Anthrocon 2007 charity, Animal Friends, brought several adoptable animals to the convention, including a small female pit bull named Kachina.

A foxcoon is a large fox-raccoon hybrid native to Eurasia and North America.

These canines are developed from the hybridization of foxes and raccoons. Foxes (Canidae) and raccoons (Procyonidae) belong to different families, so they cannot successfully interbreed in nature and thus this species cannot exist in the real world.

The Foxcoon exists primarily within the furry community as a mix of two popular species (fox and raccoon) to be used by some as a fursona. The foxcoon can be attributed with traits of both species, but the most commonly drawn form is that of a red fox with raccoon markings. The animal is occasionally given smaller ears to give a more mixed appearance.

Foxcoons are sometimes confused by non-furries as real animals. The most common misidentifications include Red Pandas, Tanukis, and Swiper from Dora the Explorer.

The Myox is a hybrid creature that was created by Duragan. They are a mixture of fox, wolf, lynx and cat. The myox is recognized for their Lainen, long fluffy tails and their big bellies. The myox are loyal as pets and as wild animals. They are also regarded as highly respectable creatures for their incredible intellegence - being able to speak our language and learn to read and write - and their love for the world.

The myox is seen to many as an adorable creature that has a colourful personality and lovable belly to rub.

History
The myox origins began with the start of a contest on deviantART for a mascot in the Chubby Furs fanclub. Duragan's entry came in as a minx character who was later named Renita. Although he didn't win the contest, he still kept his creature for future use. The idea of creating the myox came from some random doodling until the creator came up with the idea of making the myox a 4 legged creature rather then another anthropomorphic being. Soon enough the creator created a small bandwagon for people who took a particular interest in the myox and have since been happily producing their own drawings.

This page is about the theropod dinosaur family. Raptor is also another name for modern birds of prey. For more, see Bird.

Raptor is the informal name for a dromaeosaurid: any member of Dromaeosauridae, a dinosaur family of theropod carnivores which lived during the Cretaceous Period. The term raptor, popularized by the film Jurassic Park, is derived from Velociraptor and Deinonychus, the most commonly well-known genera of non-avian dinosaurs.

Raptors were small to medium-sized dinosaurs, ranging from 2 to 20 feet in length. They walked on their hind legs. The large second toe was retracted off the ground, with the third and fourth toes bearing the weight of the animal. The claw of the second toe was curved and sickle-like. While the function of this claw is debated, it may have served as a weapon when hunting or as an adaptation for climbing. Different species might have used the claw for different specializations.

Fossilized remains of dromaeosaurids have been found in groups, leading to early speculation that raptors hunted in packs like some modern animals such as wolves. However, this is not conclusive, and other evidence, combined with the fact that raptors' closest living relatives (modern birds and crocodiles) are typically solitary has led to the proposal of other possible explanations. For example, raptors may have engaged in only short-term cooperative behavior, or the sites may represent deaths from raptors fighting over the same meal.

Most, if not all raptors were covered in feathers, including large, fanned tail feathers and wing feathers on their forelimbs. Some raptors, such as Microraptor, may have been able to use their feathers to fly or glide through the air. Rahonavis was a genus originally classed as Avialae (modern birds) but later reclassed as Dromaeuosauridae, with the current taxonomy remaining controversial. It may have been capable of powered flight.

In culture
Since the success of Jurassic Park, raptors became well-known in popular culture. Raptors have appeared in several other films and television programs, including several of The Land Before Time animated films and Beast Wars, a spin-off of the Transformers. There is a robotic toy based on raptor called Roboraptor. Aside from titles based on Jurassic Park, raptors have been featured in other video games, including the Dino Crisis series, the Turok series, and World of Warcraft. Raptors in popular culture are typically portrayed as pack animals lacking feathers, or having only quill-like proto-feathers. This is because many famous depictions of raptors such as in Jurassic Park predated modern consensus on feathered dinosaurs, and this image remains today. However, as evidence and knowledge of raptors' feathers increases, so too do feathered representations, including in the furry fandom.

Raptor characters are most often zoomorphic. Raptors present a huge creative possibility: Because of the incomplete fossil record, there are competing theories on appearance and behavior, and likely undiscovered species. This allows even aiming to base their raptors on scientific knowledge wide freedom in design choices. The iconic bipedal anatomy of theropods even allows more fantasical representations to still be recognized as raptors. They can be depicted classic scaly looks, in full plumage, or even covered in fur.

Mainstream culture often depicts raptors as monsters or dangerous antagonists, in furry fandom they are often likable colorful characters. Both mainstream and furry cultures use the raptor's image in parody and humor.

The most commonly well-known raptor is Velociraptor, due in large part to its prominent role in Michael Crichton's novel Jurassic Park and the subsequent motion picture series. However, the raptors portrayed in Jurassic Park were, aside from the name, primarily and prominently based upon the slightly close known larger related Deinonychus genus.

Raptor characters
*Talon, a giant raptor from Primal Rage fighting game (he is still much smaller than other giant monsters).
*Red, titular female utahraptor from Bakker's novel.
*Dinobot, a transformer from Beast Wars.
*Utahraptor from Dinosaur Comics.
*Riptor, a Velociraptor/human hybrid from Killer Instinct fighting game.
*Unnamed raptor from original Jurassic Park videogame.
*Unnamed raptor pack from Richard Delgado Age of Reptiles comics.

There is a wereraptor player character possibility in old World of Darkness and Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edition, a Stone Age race of Velociraptors in Broncosaurus Rex RPG, and two species of raptor mutants in TMNT RPG/After the Bomb.

lowercase__NOTOC__
espfox or espsarleox (nicknamed esp or espy) is a furry artist who lives in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Her fursona is a Dalmatian dog.

Discovering furry
espfox discovered the furry fandom when, during a routine patrol of the World of Warcraft forums, she came across a thread mocking an advertisement placed by Furcadia. Boredom prompted her to visit its website, where she gathered enough interest to download it and wander around.

After many months of role playing and exploring Furcadia, someone asked her how long she had been into the furry fandom. Googling the term, she was shocked to discover that Furcadia was the mere tip of the iceberg of something she had felt a part of for most of her life.

Social life
Not particularly social online, espfox prefers real life interaction. Regardless of this, she frequents the furstralia forums, LiveJournal, MSN, and has been known (albeit exceptionally rarely) to pop up on the #brisfurs and #ozfurs channels in IRC. She no longer haunts Furcadia as she used to.

espfox attends Coffee Night and sometimes other similiar local furmeets. She attended RivFur in 2008 and again in 2009.

Fursona
Originally a feral red fox with blue eyes, espfox's fursona changed and developed into a sabretoothed leopard/fox hybrid, and then into the incarnation of a sarleox.

In May 2010, esp changed her character to a Dalmatian dog, due to the perception that her character was "too impersonal and unapproachable".

Sin Kaline is a fur who originated from Rosemead, CA. As of 2009 he has relocated to Encino, CA. He has been apart of both the furry and therian communities for most of his life. As it stands he currently has four primary fursonas: Sin, the Kaline (a wolf/snow leopard and Clouded Leopard hybrid), Gensis (a wolf/eastern dragon hybrid), Felony, who is an Iberian Lynx, and Charles, also known as Charley who is a chinese crested dog.

Sin uses 2 fursuits, though he has had others in the past. His most popular suit, Champ; a border collie, debuted at Califur 2008. Within the day he soon became a smash hit and a highly recognizable character. Champ was designed by Sin and built by SlapHappyBunny who was able to complete it just in time for Califur. It was in this suit that Sin co-ran the "Fursuit Performance" panel and aided greatly in the "Fursuit Show-And-Tell." Through this, Sin was offers a role oin Califur's fursuit staff. He kept this position for two years.

Sin has also fursuited at both the The Prancing Skiltaire and the Socal FurBQ.

His other fursuit consist of; 2-D Lemur, a character based on a member of the animated band, Gorillaz, Scooter; a female Shepard dog, and Zeek, a fennec fox.

2-D is partial suits, Scooter is a 3rd, as is Zeek. Champ's head has recently been rebuild by sin himself.

Art
While Sin prefers to work mostly in digital media, he also does traditional media. Posting mainly on Fur Affinity, he does take commissions and is almost always open for them.

He was quite shy and reserved when going into unfamiliar situations, suffering from Social Anxiety disorder and ADHD, but he claimed that he warmed up quickly when meeting other furs or wearing his fursuit. He regularly attended charity eventsclarify and even encouraged others to attend the events to help promote a positive image and bring further attention to the causes they support. His overall goal was to bring positivity to people.

R.C. was a furry for most of his life. He discovered and became active in the fandom in 1997 after searching online for information about foxes to support his beliefs as an Otherkin Therian, and then stumbling across the VCL gallery. Their fursona is an Arctic fox-fennec fox hybrid.

Fursona
Lolo is nearly all-white in color. Their oversized ears are grey with black stripes, with white tufts coming from the inside. Atop their head is a tuft of wild silver hair. Their black eyebrows form into markings all the way down their body to their loins. On their left hip, they have three black dots, and they have a large tail. They sport black and grey striped "gloves and socks".

Lolo's single right eye is turquoise with large eyelashes. Their other eye is covered with a turquoise bandage. Their left nostril is pierced.

Lolo loves a good fight; that is how they lost their eye. They are trained in mixed martial arts and boxing. They are quite pugnacious in their manner and tends to be slightly aggressive. Despite their roughness, deep down, they are a caring, loving, and wise little fox. Not only can they give a good punch, but they can also give good advice to those willing to take it. They are an experienced kitsune, with learned skills and lessons.

Lolo is quite the dancer, and is not known to turn down a good dance-off with a stranger. Their competitiveness and headstrong nature drives their to take on any challenge. This is their strength and weakness at the same time. Often, their will get themself into strange situations due to their stubborn nature.

Arxl is a long-time member of the furry community. Growing up mainly in southern California, he was exposed to many different cultures and life styles. Arxl or Arxlblacktip as his username for sites that do not allow four character names, is most active on YouTube, Facebook, and a small handful of MMORPG games.

Contributions to the Fandom
Arxl, in the beginning, was mainly an anti-troll and helped members of the fandom through tough times regarding their furry lifestyle. Not only putting myths to rest but informing people of the 'Behind the Scenes' in the fandom. Showing both light and dark sides of furries. Recently he has released 'Furry Edits' on YouTube of popular songs and other, very strange music. Has yet to debut his personal remixes and songs, they are still in the making. He continues to correct trolls' incorrect belief of many fandom myths.

As a note, Arxl is among the first group of people to create and popularize a internet style of talking, using words like 'Dun' and 'Nu'(or nup) in the place of don't and no.

Fursona
Arxl is an Arctic Wolfox, or a hybrid of a wolf and fox.
Anthro: 5'5" to 5'10" with a lean/long slender body, toned muscle, blue and green eyes, fluffy fur in the winter and short, coyote-like fur in the summer. Main fur color is very light grey with a stark white underbelly and inner arms/legs. The tips of his ears and tail are black, mid wrist and mid calf down is black fur. All of his paw pads are bright pink, easily seen in contrast to his black fur around them. Usually seen with a smile on his face and a small pink ribbon tied around the base of his tail.

Non-Anthro: About the size of an average coyote due to the fox in him and because he was the runt of the litter. Same aesthetics without a ribbon on his tail.

In both body types he is very shy until introduced to someone, then becomes very outgoing. He has a very affectionate and non-body-shy around friends. He has a bubbly attitude but can compose himself if the situation called for it. He is a very dedicated mate to his lover but can be somewhat of a flirt and get himself and his mate in over their heads. He is an all around nice person, pacifistic and loves nature. He enjoys laughing and playing around. But is very multi-faceted, enjoys every genre of music and likes being in the company of many diverse crowds.

Her previous fursona, "Kiira", gathered much attention after her appearance on My Strange Addiction in early 2011. The suit received mixed positive and negative reviews, and it ultimately lead to the discontinued use of the fennec Kiira and eventually sold her fursuit.

Fursuits
Ixchel has built fursuits for herself and her boyfriend, as well as built suits commissioned from customers on Fur Affinity. Below is a list of suits she has built:

* Kiira - Fennec fox (partial)
* Kaskae - Husky (partial)
*Chai - Red Panda/Coyote (Partial)
* Axel - Hyena Partial
*Kira - Fennec Fox (Not to be confused with Kiira, Ixchel did not build this one)

Here's something you may not know about Kiira and Kira. Ixchel traded Kiira, and the person she gave her to gave her Kira!
