Wirewolf (real name Space Ranger Ty Parsec) is a robotic werewolf species in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Ty Parsec
Parsec is an old friend and Space Ranger Academy classmate of the title character who feels smothered by Buzz Lightyear often saving him from danger. However, while assigned to patrol duty on the planet Canis Lupus, is accidentally bitten by NOS-4-A2, a villainous vampiric robot that feeds upon electric energy from other robots; at the time, Parsec was attempting to save supporting character XR from NOS-4-A2's bite. The bite penetrates both Parsec's armor and skin, which, when exposed to the radiating light of Canis Lupus, turns him into a robotic werewolf that, like NOS-4-A2, feeds upon electric energy.

Parsec's Wirewolf appeared in two episodes of the television series, Wirewolf and Revenge of the Monsters, with a cameo appearance in War, Peace and War. Parsec was voiced by Steve Hytner.

Others
In the episode Revenge of the Monsters, Parsec is discharged from the Space Rangers by Commander Nebula because of his infection. NOS-4-A2 and XL, a villainous robotic "Frankenstein's monster" who is XR's "evil (and larger) twin", burst into the Space Ranger complex with a chunk of Canis Lunis' rock, immediately setting off the transformation of Parsec into a wirewolf once again; the wirewolf is then captured by the two and taken to Emperor Zurg's planet, where NOS-4-A2 has ousted Zurg from power and built a cannon that, by draining Parsec as a source, can beam the wirewolf "curse" across galactic distances, possibly transforming Star Command and all of Capital Planet into wirewolves. Despite turning both Mira and Booster into wirewolves, this plan is defeated by Lightyear, Ty and XR when they convince XL that NOS-4-A2 may dispose of him when he (NOS) reaches the apex of his power; the episode ends with the curse withdrawn, the death of NOS-4-A2, and the re-fitting/re-employment of XL as a photocopier.

Ren and Stimpy

2017-01-21T17:09:07Z

2601:18D:4701:C4A0:A5B2:590C:2626:BB8E:

The Ren and Stimpy Show, otherwise commonly known as simply Ren and Stimpy or Ren & Stimpy, was an animated cartoon show created by John Kricfalusi which ran on Nickelodeon from August 11, 1991 until sometime in 1996. It was revived in some measure by TNN in 2003.

Characters
Ren Hoek was supposed to be a Chihuahua dog whose accent was vaguely somewhere between Spanish and German. Everything about his design was rather vague and exaggerated. No two poses suggested the same physical dimensions. His character was subject to bipolar extremes of boredom, plotting and calculating, or outright outbursts of rage or euphoric excitement. Some of his gestures are reminiscent of the styles of much earlier Tex Avery or DePatie-Freleng shorts.

Stimpson J. Cat was the stupid one--or as Ren often put it, the "eeediot!" His childlike demeanor and low intelligence enabled him to put up with Ren's antics and made him smile at just about everything. Whenever he did get excited about some idea, he was bound to drag Ren into it kicking and screaming.

Defining characteristics
The Ren and Stimpy Show was an early-90's reaction to mass-produced shows of the previous two decades which tended to be either spin-offs of earlier ideas (70's) or marketing gimmicks for toy lines (80's). In its departure from "innocence"--that is, the absence of physical violence and suggestive humor--it went quite a bit toward the other extreme. Early episodes featured some social satire, but after Nickelodeon took over production, the emphasis shifted primarily toward sight-gags involving mutilation, naughty references to bodily functions, and nudity. Precedent for some of this could possibly be traced back to Hanna-Barbera, Fred Quimby, and Tex Avery shorts from the 1940's but, then as now, the edgy humor was directed toward older audiences. The overall feel of the show was like a sitcom, with some occasional moments which seemed oddly inert. This particular feature could also be seen in such contemporary shows as The Simpsons and Taz-Mania.

Another incarnation
Marvel Comics licensed Ren and Stimpy for a comic book, the first issue of which was released in December 1992. It was written by John Slott and drawn by Mike Kazaleh (better known for Captain Jack) and ran until July 1996.

Transformation

2017-01-21T16:23:15Z

Transformation
cleanup
:This article concerns shapeshifting (also known as "transformation") as an action or state of being. For the artistic metagenre which involves shapeshifting as a plot device, see transformation fiction.
Shapeshifting is, in its most basic meaning, a change from one state to another. A shapeshifter (also known as Shapechanger and sometimes abbreviated TF after "transformation") is a term encompassing any sort of being that can change their physical shape and appearance under its own willpower. In fantasy fandoms, these beings may be known as polymorphs (i.e. a being or creature with the means to change its biological shape into another, commonly by the use of magic; This process is also commonly known as "morphing.")

In mythology
Shapeshifters abound in the lore of most cultures. Contemporary examples include werewolves, which are wolves that turn into humans (or vice versa, depending on the specific mythos), and kitsune (and related shapeshifters, such as kumiho), which are typically depicted as the enlightened semi-spirit forms of foxes which can turn into people.

Hence, if the term 'furry' is taken in its loosest sense, i.e., something which exhibits a mixture of human and animal traits, then these may be the oldest known examples of furries in human culture.

Shapeshifting and furry
When used in terms of the furry fandom, it is generally in the context of changing from a human form into an animal one. Shapeshifting, or transformation, can have several meanings in the fandom. For furry lifestylers, it can reflect an interest in the fantasy of "being" your animal, and the earnest desire to one day wake up and see your human-ness gone. It can have aspects of sexual fantasy, especially in the case of unwanted involuntary transformations forced by others. It can reflect an active spiritual or oneirological state of human-animal changes, as found in therianthropy. Or it can refer to biological or cybernetic changes, either in real life or in science fiction, to make a person more animal-like.

Shapeshifting is typically a one-way route in furry fan stories and art; the goal is to become animal, often a quadruped, rather than return to humanity. The main difference is in were stories where, due to traditional genre conventions, an aspect of returning to being human for at least a short time is often included. Transformation stories may have people turn fully into bestial animals, rather than anthropomorphic ones, losing all human level or reasoning and intelligence.

Fandom applications
A great deal of fursonas in the furry fandom are shapechangers. Some of them accomplish this task by "magical" means such as a garter belt or a curse, some using technology (i.e., nanites or extreme genetic engineering), and some furs can shapechange "just because."

Transformation art is created by a wide variety of TF fans, both for themselves and as commissioned work for non-artist TF fans. This art can either be single, 'one-shot' images, or sequences depicting a transformation in as few as three or as many as 15-20 images. There are websites available to view transformation artwork, such as Transfur, Shadowlord Inc and Fur Affinity. TF fans communicate through chat, groups, lists and bulletin boards.

Most mucks also include a morph program, which facilitate these changes. The most common program was created by Triggur for FurryMUCK, although there are others (and indeed, some mucks have multiple morph programs, depending on that user's preferences).fact

There are websites available to view transformation artwork, such as Transfur, Shadowlord Inc. and Fur Affinity.

Characters
Puzzle
Puzzle is a giraffe character created by Kadath. She is often seen partnered with Diamond, and is popular due to her sweet-natured, ditzy personality, and unique take on giraffes.
History
Puzzle's real name is Patricia Patcher. She is nicknamed Puzzle for her puzzle-shaped spots and her ditzy personality.

Puzzle's parents were from Oxford, England, but their family was from Kenya. They moved to India before Puzzle was born. She was born and raised in India for the first eight years of her life, learning old-fashioned Indian English while living there. To this day, she still uses outdated Victorian phrases or words, though her accent is distinctly Oxford.

When she was eight, her parents moved back to England and she spent the rest of her life there. Puzzle's parents were doctors and were rich, but she decided to live on her own in London. She still keeps up with them through letters, and she also writes letters to her huge family that are spread all over Africa and Europe.

Personality
Puzzle is very innocent and child-like and is likable because of her ditsy personality. She is very gentle and nice, and tends to attract company. Her massive height puts off some people, and it has been a feature of her that she regrets quite often.

Interests
Puzzle is a big fan of British sitcoms and enjoys feel-good movies. She also loves to take care of animals and often visits the zoo. She is a bit of a nature-lover but she does not participate in any activist campaigns, unlike Glitter.

Relationships
Puzzle gets along well with everybody, but especially with Diamond. After meeting her in the office of "Cumsplatter Toys Inc." where they both worked (and which Puzzle had no clue what an adult toy company was), Puzzle followed Diamond around like a puppy. Puzzle ended up living with Diamond because Puzzle unknowingly burnt down her flat by leaving her oven running while she went out (though unconfirmed rumours say it was somebody else committing arson). Diamond developed a crush on Puzzle, but didn't want her finding out about her stripper job. Puzzle followed her to the club one day and to Diamond's delight, enjoyed watching her dance and is now a regular customer. Though many assume she is a stripper herself, Puzzle can't dance and is rather shy about her body.

Puzzle and Diamond eventually formed a romantic relationship, which was a first for Puzzle. Diamond's polyamorous habits deeply bother Puzzle, however.

Puzzle has a rivalry with Midnight the cat, though she doesn't realise it. Midnight is an American intern and is very athletic and competitive. She never wants to lose, but she often challenges Puzzle to sports matches, most of which Puzzle has no clue how to play. However, Puzzle always wins by chance, and this infuriates Midnight to no end. Puzzle has no idea that Midnight resents her, though to everybody else it's obvious.

Puzzle took a stray cat under her wing and named him Disraeli. Diamond was introduced to Disraeli when she came home one day to find the kitchen a mess and Puzzle trying to keep Disraeli in a cooking pot (which wasn't heated yet). Puzzle admitted she was trying to surprise Diamond with a home-grown meal, but was confused when the ingredients included 'cat soup'. Being a herbivore, she didn't know what to do, especially since she didn't want to hurt Disraeli. Diamond read the ingredients and realised she misread catsup. All was forgiven and Disraeli is now Diamond and Puzzle's pet.

Appearances
Puzzle appeared in Hit the Beach 2006, and an adults-only portfolio entitled "Pieces of the Puzzle" went on sale in Fall 2006. A humorous, adult one-shot comic written and drawn by Kadath about Diamond's daily life features Puzzle. It is as-yet unpublished.

Diamond
Diamond was the first character created by Kadath, and is his most popular, rivaled only by Puzzle. She resides in London's East End.

History
Diamond's real name is Bridget Abdulmajid, and her nickname comes from a diamond-shaped marking on her forehead. She was born in Nigeria, and moved to England at a young age. Her parents were very traditional, and forced their daughter to retain her African values and not try to fit in with the English kids. This resulted in her being very shy and withdrawn, and the object of ridicule.

Then one day she met a native-born cheetah named Alex, who was a misfit and planned on becoming a rockstar. Diamond fell in love with him, seeing him as a kindred spirit. Alex told Diamond to do what she wanted and never let others control her. Diamond took this to heart and began to dress and act like other English girls. Diamond also became very sexually experienced with Alex and his friends at this time. Her parents were appalled and kicked her out of her home. At the same time, Alex moved away to pursue his musical dreams. Alone and distraught, Diamond moved to London to try to find a new life.

She began working at an adult toy company called "Cumsplatter Toys Inc." as a receptionist. Finding the job adequate but wanting more from life, she decided to visit a local strip club, called "The Safari". Upon hearing an 1980s song she really liked and beginning to dance to it, the manager noted the unusual zebra and decided to hire her as an exotic dancer. To this day, Diamond is the most popular girl at the club and frequently has trysts with co-workers and customers without her boss's knowledge.

Personality
Diamond is very outgoing and dominating in nature. While not particularly mean, she knows how to get her way.

Interests
Diamond secretly has an extreme fondness for cheesy 1940s and 1950s sci-fi movies. Her favourite movie is "Space Cats from Mars". The walls of her flat are adorned with vintage pulp movie posters and toys, and she has an enormous DVD collection of old films. She never lets anybody, except close friends, know that she is essentially a geek.

Diamond is obsessed with 80s music. It's the only music she allows to be played when she's performing at the club, because it's the only music that gets her going. From what little she's said about Alex to her friends, it's been surmised she prefers 80s music because that was the first type of music he introduced to her.

Relationships
Diamond has had trysts with Vince the rhino, Dax the wolf, and Ruby the red panda, but she has had long-term relationships with Glitter the gazelle and Puzzle the giraffe, the latter who is her live-in girlfriend and main love. Diamond and Nightshade the jackal share an enmity of currently unknown origin, and they sometimes trade profane and demeaning insults. However, their hatred motivates them to avoid each other most of the time.

Glitter
Glitter (real name: Victoria Wilcox) is a gazelle. She is a stripper at "The Safari". She was created and drawn by Kadath.

Glitter and her young brother moved to London when she was in her teens. They lived in the East End and barely scraped by. Then one day her brother was playing ball in the street when a drunk driver hit him and killed him. Glitter became so distraught that she developed a hatred towards native Brits.

Glitter stripped at "The Safari" to survive, since she became notoriously political and was often fired very quickly from regular day jobs. She found the strip club and it's all-exotic girls theme to be rather offensive, but she liked the girls there, particularly Diamond the zebra, enough to stay. She is in love with Diamond and wants to get her involved in her political groups, but Diamond has so far declined to join.

Glitter lives in a run-down flat and sleeps on the floor, which is covered with sheets. She is poor, but finds time to play acoustic guitar and compose songs which talk about her feelings. She has yet to have them published because of her strong anti-English political feelings. She is a part of several online pro-African immigrant groups and supports them with donations and participates in rallies. The donations she gives them are one of the reasons she is poor. Despite being very popular at "The Safari", she gives most of her money to the Immigrant Awareness Movemnt (I AM), which coaxes her to do so.

Ruby
Ruby is a red panda. She is a stripper at "The Safari".
Ruby is from Asia and is very intelligent but shy. She immigrated to England and does not know English too fluently. She is bothered by her communication barriers, but hangs out with the girls at the club, though she is often a tag along and chooses not to talk much.

Dax
Dax (real name: Dexter Smith) is a wolf living in London. He is a male stripper at "The Elephant's Trunk".

Dax has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Diamond, and is her favourite male companion. He is also rumoured to have a relationship with Vince, the bouncer at "The Safari" strip club.

Vince
Vince (real name: Vincent Strong) is a rhinoceros and is a bouncer at "The Safari" strip club. Though outwardly tough and imposing, he is deep down a really nice guy.

He has had trysts with Diamond, a stripper there, and Dax, a frequent customer. Dax is also a male stripper at "The Elephant's Trunk" and has tried to get Vince to dance there, though he has been unsuccessful thus far.

Currently there are plans for a Vince and Dax one-shot comic, intended for publication. The comic is yet unfinished.

Nightshade
Nightshade is a jackal from Egypt and is a stripper at "The Safari". Not much is known about her except that she is considered gothic and has a dark mystique about her. She does not get along with the other girls at "The Safari", mostly because of her rude behaviour and quiet nature.

Dynamite
Dynamite is a cheetah and a stripper at "The Safari". She is nicknamed Dynamite because, being a cheetah, she has extreme ADHD, but she takes medication to keep herself calm. However, she takes so much medication that she appears nonchalant and dull, but when the medicine wears off she explodes with energy, hence the nickname.

Herpy: Reptile Lovers' Community (formerly known as Herpy Image Archive from 2005 - 2012) is a mature art aggregator and interactive community for artists, writers, and fans of everything herpetophilia including ornithophilia. The website is commonly known as Herpy among members. The website was Something Awful's "Awful Link of the Day" on December 15, 2010.

Herpy is also notable for being the place where Varka first announced his plans for Bad Dragon.

On May 23rd, 2016 Herpy was shut down by its host, Bad Dragon Enterprises, ending its 11-year run. Former administrator Dracokon has claimed he has no intentions of carrying on the website independently.

On July 6th 2016 the community was rebuilt by SIC Administrator Valcyrie. Even though all content was gone, the community userbase stayed through and are now working on building it back up from a clean slate. The new site bears no ties to its former host Varka or Bad dragon, and is also changed domain from .net to .nu.

History
Herpy was established in February 2005 by Varka and BullGator as a reference resource both for artists as well as other visitors interested in the sexual aspects of reptilian behavior and anatomy. The original Herpy logo was designed by D.O.P.R., one of the many artists who maintain a personal gallery on the website. His logo was retired temporarily in 2009 but later became the official graphic of the community once again with slight alterations to reflect the website's new name.

The massive gallery and its corresponding community were originally hosted on their own server, however as of 2013 hosting considerations for Herpy are provided by Varka Enterprises. In its early years the community grew steadily with its gallery quickly pulling in over one million visitors per month and 1,000 registered users by October 2006. Despite these accomplishments the community remained "underground" in the fandom and received almost all of its traffic via search engines or word-of-mouth advertising. Herpy upgraded its forum software from phpBB to vBulletin in August 2010.

Varka was the community's administrator and site webmaster from 2005 through 2008. In On April 19, 2009 this role was given to Dracokon who continued to maintain the position until the shutdown of the site.

Involvement with Bad Dragon
On December 7, 2007 Varka posted a discussion thread in Herpy's General Lounge forum titled "Animal 'Toys' ;-)". In this thread he discussed his desire and plans to sculpt and create dragon-themed sex toys to serve a market that he felt was glazed over by the existing toy companies. At the time of the thread's posting the company did not have a name, but in a post made on December 14, 2007 Varka used the name "Bad Dragon" for the first time and announced that he had purchased the new business' domain name.

Varka made the announcement "We go live on Monday!" on April 12, 2008. Two days later, Dracokon claimed he allegedly made the first public post on the Bad Dragon forums.

After the takedown of May 23, 2016 Herpy was reborn under a new name and new domain on July 6th 2016, thereby also cutting all its former ties with Bad Dragon.

Issues with defacing
In the early hours of November 11, 2008 an unknown group of hackers abused a security hole in the registration bridge between Herpy's forum and gallery and crashed the website, deleting forums and threads and replacing most of the site's graphics with shock images. Herpy.net was taken down by Varka and replaced with a message stating the forums would be restored and online again soon. Herpy's gallery was the first item to be restored and the forums themselves came back online in April 2009.

In September 2013 Herpy was one of dozens of vBulletins affected by a security exploit caused by erroneous installation files left on the Herpy.net server. Damage to the website was insignificant and fixed within hours and the site's vBulletin software was patched and its extraneous server files cleaned up.

Herpy "2.0"
The term "Herpy 2.0" was formerly a playful joke coined by Dracokon when he first assumed his administrative position. The term was never used, but it was in reference to a number of upgrades and tweaks he applied to the forums over the course of his first few months in charge. The name was dropped in favor of performing ongoing website maintenance.

On August 24, 2010, when the forum software was upgraded from phpBB to vBulletin, the community was relaunched with a "2.0" suffix for several months. With the adoption of vBulletin Herpy obtained a built-in blogging platform where users could formally keep and share personal journals. To note this, the forum's previous "Members Only" private forum was depreciated and merged into the Otherkin forum to become a general "touchy issue" discussion center.

Original content
Herpy also obtained a content management system (CMS) with the vBulletin update. An immediate database crash resulted in the CMS system becoming broken and irreparable without a complicated database backup procedure. Dracokon announced work had begun on rebuilding and restoring the CMS; on September 23, 2013 he announced that the CMS system was in working order and declared its official launch.

Content published by Herpy is limited to articles covering the topics of herpetology, paleontology, and pop-culture topics pertaining to reptiles in general.

Contests & Giveaways
As an incentive to keep people in the community administrators Dracokon and BullGator have both held numerous giveaways at landmark Herpy milestones or on regular holidays. A list of previous giveaways is below starting with the most recent:

Xenophilia

2017-01-21T14:48:33Z

2601:18D:4701:C4A0:A5B2:590C:2626:BB8E:

Xenophilia is literally an attraction to, or love of, that which is foreign. In modern usage, it generally refers to a social or sexual attraction to cultures, lands, or beings which are different from one's native experience. In science fiction it can also mean sexual attraction to aliens. Xenophilia is the opposite of xenophobia.

The paraphilia defined as sexual attraction to furry characters is a form of xenophilia.

While this desire may be confused with bestiality and zoophilia, the primary difference from those paraphilias is anthropomorphism, the addition of human-like abilities and characteristics, such as high-level reasoning and/or an upright form.
