Winged Sciurus or Sciuri (pronounced "sear-us" or "sear-eye") are a open species created and owned by Omnom.

Anatomy
Winged sciurus are small, omnivorous creatures, similar in nature to a flying squirrel. They possess a feather-like membrane that extends under the arms to the mid-upper thigh, allowing them to glide from trees and other high places. They also have cat-like eyes and facial structures, long tilted-back ears, and large fluffy tails.

Although sciuri, especially Omnom, are often referred to colloquially as "Squirrels" (due in part to Omnom's original fursona being a flying squirrel), they are distinctly different.
Notable Sciuri
*Splat Fennec as Spam
