The Lion King 1½ (known as The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata called in Australia, Europe and Japan) is the third movie in The Lion King series. It was released direct to video in 2004. The movie centered in on Timon and Pumbaa and filled in much of their backstory. It also explored various scenes from the original The Lion King, often humorously, using the perspective of the two friends. Two new additions to the original The Lion King cast were Timon's Ma and Uncle Max.

Under the African Sun, which opened for RP in January 2005 but has since closed, was a role-playing MUCK based on The Lion King 1 1/2, with Feature Characters (FCs) from the film.
