== Biography ==

theBunnyMan believes in [[W:Totemism|animal totemism]], and believes that is what defines him as a [[furry]]. theBunnyMan has always felt the link to animals and performs several forms of [[W:Divination|divination]], including [[W:Tarot|tarot]]. He was a member of '''All Kindred Society''' of Las Vegas and the '''ShadowGate House''', but left both groups to due to conflict of interests. He quietly disassociated from both groups at well as [[otherkin]] and [[W:Wicca|Wicca]] as a whole. He currently identifies as a [[W:Nihilist movement|Nihilist]], but still lives by a strict personal moral code based off the [[W:Paganism|pagan]] teachings.

theBunnyMan speaks in a very lighthearted and playful tone and often wears a huge smile, but he often talks in a very jeering manner, both about all his friends and himself which is often misconstrued as him being very rude. He also often can be very offensive since he has very little shame or social taboo's, finding most of them entertaining. theBunnyMan is a professional [[W:Solaris|Solaris]] and [[W:Linux|Linux]] server administrator of eight years, and he attributes this to why he is not interested in computers as a hobby, he claims this is why he now only owns a [[W:Macintosh computer|Macintosh]] laptop and [[W:iPad|iPad]], so he has to do as little work to his computers as possible.

== Furry involvement (timeline) ==
=== Early years ===

theBunnyMan discovered the [[furry fandom]] around 1996 when he was in his sophomore year of high school. He was introduced to online [[webcomics]] such as [[Sabrina Online]], and also furry stories and art by his friend [[Luxemburg the Skunk]]. He quickly tried to become a fan, having felt he had found a niche that felt like him. He began to socialize and interact with others claiming to be a black and gray Cheshire [[cat]], although he had not taken the name '''Xanaphia''' at this time, being only known by his current online handle '''Pyro-oryP'''.

He became more and more involved in the [[furry community]] around 1998 when he found [[YiffNet]] and [[Tapestries]]. It was also at this time when he chose the name Xanaphia. During his online start, like most first, he ended up spending most of his time in adult based channels. He learned of a local furry group headed by two furs named [[Hyper]] and [[Burmese]]. He attended the meeting for a span of about 6 months before the group disbanded due to [[drama]]. He remained active personally and online until 2002 when personal issues and a pressing career drove him into taking a break from the fandom.

In 2005 he began to seek out other furries actively online and in person once again after experiencing a 'prophetic dream'. At this time he shed the image of a Cheshire cat, and following the dream, embraced his [[Rabbit|lapine]] side, now portraying himself as often as possible as a white [[rabbit]]. He has embraced his "furriness" to the point where he can very often be seen introducing himself as a rabbit, wearing ears & tail and squeaking in social situations where it is not expected or normal/acceptable.

=== Vegas Furs ===

After this reemergence, he began frequenting [[FurNet (IRC)|FurNet]] again where he can still be found in the [[IRC]] channels #[[bunnypad]], #StRitas-Clinic and #artcommisions. He began commissioning artist, and displays digital copies of them on his personal gallery and his [[Fur Affinity]] account. On July 27th, 2006 he created [[Vegas Furs]], to help bring together as many local furries as possible. Around the same time he also helped start another local social group called the All Kindred Society of Las Vegas. He also attended [[Further Confusion 2007]] with a group of furs from Sacramento, California and Reno, Nevada.

Soon after all of the problems with VegasFurs were resolved and calmed down, theBunnyMan quickly began to move away from his commonly known name of Xanaphia. His livejournal was removed, [[VegasFurs]] forum name and several of his email addresses were changed. He has not resolved to a name, going under many things like '''TheBunnyMachine''', '''theBunnyMan''', '''DJ Epic MegafaiL''', '''lvwhiterabbit''', and his known name, '''Jonny D'''.

=== Leaving Vegas Furs ===

In late 2007 theBunnyMan relinquished administrative duties of the Vegas Furs due to community and interpersonal problems after bannings and another administrator was forced to step down by his decision. He still retains administrative control of the site due to ownership of database, domain and system, but only handles technical issues with it.

Over the next three years while he was supposed to be only a technical contact he still stepped in and dealt with many interpersonal issues due to being the only full time mod. In December 2010 after the Las Vegas Community split in to several different forums and groups, theBunnyMan completely sold and turned over the community (software, database, & domain) to [[Cybercoyote]]. Two months later all moderator privileges and access has been removed from his account.

=== Today ===

As of 2009-2010 theBunnyMan has spent a lot less time actively in the furry community as a whole. He attends very few local furry meets after being removed from control of VegasFurs . He attended Further Confusion 2010 but spent most of the time with his current friends. He is frequently a part of the [[Rabbit Valley]] podcast "Live from the Hop Inn"<ref>http://fox.rabbitvalley.com/podcast</ref> where he brings his silly but oft offensive brand of humor and is partially responsible for the proclaimed "Worst Podcast Ever"<ref>http://fox.rabbitvalley.com/podcast/Rabbit_Valley_PodCast/Rabbit_Valley_Comics_Podcast/Entries/2010/3/11_Live_from_the_Hop_Inn_121.html</ref>.
He still gets commissions and trades services for art of his [[fursona]] which he tries to keep constantly update so that it looks like an [[anthropomorphic]] version of his real self in style, features, and personality.
