:That said, now, does anyone have objections to this personal exclusion? If not, I have no problem in letting it stand, as this person does not appear to be particularly notable, except possibly in the area of a specific RPG (which seems to be more suited to that RPG's documentation than our own). --GreenReaper(talk) 04:05, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
::I'm sorry but this is my 'real' legal name. I think you'd have a problem with people using yours, too. I don't know why -you- guys are now making such a big deal about it. "Please do not remove other people's words from talk pages." I edited out something that was quoted that sorta, you know, defeated the point of being 'excluded'. I have a right to protect my personal privacy. I apologize but it's important. I'll -fully- explain if you want, but not on here. -K

:::Well, no . . . actually, you don't have that right. Just because this is your name does not give you the right to tell us what we can, or cannot write here about you . . . as long as it is true. That's covered by the First Amendment (Wikia's servers are located in the US, so US law applies). You cannot find such privacy laws because they would have been in conflict with the Constitution, and thus invalid. Privacy is only protected when extremely invasive methods have been used to penetrate it, such as photographers trespassing on private property.

:::Now, if particular statements were not true - for example, if the article claimed you insulted people when you had not, or that you had burned down a building but you had not - then they could just have been removed or replaced with an accurate depiction of the situation. If they were a matter of opinion, or a matter of fact that was impossible to ascertain, then they should have been changed to represent that ("Person/Group X claimed that X insulted them and burned down their clubhouse, while Y stated that they got drunk and burnt it down themselves"). If they were technically true, but did not give the full story, then the appropriate solution would have been to add the other side of the story in - or to request complete exclusion, as Spirou mentioned.

:::The page that is subject to being excluded is not the one that discusses why you are being excluded, which is this one. Giza was actually supporting your cause there by highlighting a piece of information that he felt was potentially inaccurate, which makes it all the more odd that you would try to remove it. If it's not true, you can just say so and that will be recorded here as well. Removing it just makes it seem like you're trying to hide something, and implies that it is true, which was probably not your intent. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:37, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

::::Look, I'll be happy to explain elsewhere, and not have this huge mess on here, if it's not such a bother. This is becoming rather absurd with how you feel like you have to explain all of this. I personally just want it gone (all of it), like I said, for reasons I'll explain off public view. It wasn't true, and even if I 'fought' that it would take way too long, and ends up being one person's word against another. Again, I'll fully explain myself, just not here. Thanks again for removing the information. Let me know and I'll leave contact information for a bit. I'd like it all to be just 'excluded' because now it's even bigger of a deal than it originally started. I apologize for not knowing the 'ways of the wiki' but I did what I felt I had to do. --Kal

:::::I've contacted you privately, though don't feel you have to explain if you don't want to. As above, if there is no more significant reason to have an article about you on WikiFur, then this exclusion is likely to stand. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:52, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
:Angela, our policy is not to use protected-excluded until the person is excluded. You appear to have used it as a temporary measure. It is not intended to be used in that manner. Kal, please do not remove other people's words from talk pages.

I personally just want it gone, like I said, for reasons I'll explain off public view. --Kal

:Angela, our policy is not to use protected-excluded until the person is excluded. You appear to have used it as a temporary measure. It is not intended to be used in that manner. Kal, please do not remove other people's words from talk pages.
At the very least, it should be stated that Kala McCloud is not affiliated with LylatRPG, and that any claim she places on the intellectual property of others is absolutely false. 142.104.250.115

:The problem I have with the article (and why I marked it as POV) is mainly the sentence In retaliation, she quit the game only to return as a player and has since been trying to wrest control from the development team. If that were removed or a citation were provided, I'd be a lot happier about the overall tone of the article. --Douglas Muth 21:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

:Oh, now that I think of it, one way to provide a citation would be if you placed the logs that you had on the web somewhere, perhaps with a page that summarizes their contents. We could add that page in as a reference, and I think that would be sufficient for the article. --Douglas Muth 21:02, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

:I've gone ahead and meddled with the article to remove certain phrases that may bring its neutrality into dispute. If the LylatRPG administrators wish to make the logs public domain and cite them, I've told them that they are free to do so, though, after speaking with them, I doubt they're all that interested in airing dirty laundry. 142.104.250.115
I have personally verified the accounts documented here with the creators/administrators of LylatRPG who have kindly provided me with logs of the events detailed here and elsewhere.
At the very least, it should be stated that Kala McCloud is not affiliated with LylatRPG, and that any claim she places on the intellectual property of others is absolutely false. 142.104.250.115

The LylatRPG is a long standing RPG group that had its beginnings as a beta ICQ chatroom game back in the summer of 1999. The game back then was known as StarFoxRPG and was created by TerrinFox, who had written out the rule set and created a special dice program for the game to control the characters and the reactions of the world to their actions. Its current status has fallen into a state of near hibernation, with only one group meeting regularly out of the four that were known to exist in its frame. This has been seen by few of its players and its wiki admin as evidence that it is fading or very close to retirement due to the lack of update activity on its wiki by the other GMs and the lack of the other groups meeting up on their respective session days.

Background
Based around the game StarFox 64 for the Nintendo 64, the history of the game was a topic of debate as to what was canon and what wasn't, since the game it was based on did not have much in the way of hard history to use as a base, nor was there much known about the environment the game took place in. It was also debatable if the game's predecessor for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was a viable history source of its own or not.

The RPG's actual storyline involved Black Ops teams assembled from members of the Cornerian Defense Force which were sent to other planets in the Lylat system to sabotoge, destroy, steal, and otherwise hinder the advancements of the Venomian Military Force and thus slow down Andross. Their existance was regarded as a Section 31 secret; they were effectively ghosts, because if something went wrong, they did not exist as far as the military was concerned. They had use of the same vehicles as the Star Fox team, which were produced in secret specially for the black-ops teams with exception of the Blue Marine submarine. This allowed the groups an effective advantage in space and on the ground if the situation demanded it, although not all members knew how to fly.

Each team had its own code name, and they were often simply referred to as LEST groups (short for "Lylatian Elite Strike Team"). Code names used by the teams were Shadow Crusaders, Black Avengers, and so on.

In the history of the RPG there were as many as 4 LEST groups, with at least two Venomian groups, which arose in a similar manner to their Cornerian counterparts with the purpose of tipping the balance in Andross's favor. These groups were only called 'VEST's.

Changes
New chat and game systems
As time went by, the RPG went through several changes. It moved from ICQ to IRC, upgraded its dice system to a modified D20 which for all intents and purposes worked the same as it's original version, and went through various team resurrections.

Phoenix Rebellion
In the last two years, the RPG group gained a spinoff called the Phoenix Rebellion, an RPG similar to the StarFoxRPG and using the same dice system, though set 800 years after the StarFox 64 game. This RPG used elements of the canon StarFoxRPG events in its background and became a world of its own with new star systems, colonies, and "subspace" warp gates for inter-system travel.

Phoenix Rebellion had the same premise as StarFox 64: one side against the other. The difference this time was that neither side were the good guys and there were no bad guys. This was a pleasant departure from the typical "Good vs Evil" faceoffs seen on most RPGs. Each side saw the other other as the 'bad guys' with a desire to set things right.

Over a year after its launch however, the Phoenix Rebellion underwent a change of structure. It originally concerned two group with one working for one side and the remaining group working for the other. It allowed the two to interact during certain plot points, but it was decided to totally rebuild the RPG so the focus was on one group and one group only which was fighting against more than just the opposition. The game world was changed, planets added, systems modified, and one system entirely cut off from the rest of the warp network that was used to get from system to system. The remaining group which had formally been playing this RPG later formed a third spinoff which was known as LADU.

Currently, the RPG became inactive because the creator ran into motivational problems and lack of enough time.

LADU
After the reorg of the Phoenix Rebellion, LADU (known as the Lylatian Alternate Dimensions Unit) was created and considered non-canon as well as totally unrelated from the rest of the LylatRPG world. This meant that while the new group could be based off the standard canon world the mainstay groups used, they could not be considered an official group of the LylatRPG world. The entire idea behind such a choice was to help keep the main world relatively clear from the doubtless confusion and situations the LADU group would run into.

LADU's purpose was similar to the science fiction show Sliders in which the group of players traversed dimensional boundaries on a mission to explore and learn what they can about each world they visit. Unlike the science fiction show it was similar to however, the group did not have the misfortune of being forced to travel from world to world trying to find their home dimension. Instead, they start their missions from a military base specially equipped with a gate platform, get sent trhough the gate to a targetted dimension, learn what they can while looking for the gate home, and always return to their home dimension by the end of the mission.

There are particular rules the group has to follow however. One of the most important rules is to blend in as much as possible. To do this, a recon team is always sent first to get a basic idea of the technology and clothing styles of the dimension to be examined. The second most important rule is that the group cannot reveal to anyone that they are from another world or dimension for obvious reasons (being labled insane being one of them). The third and final important rule is that no matter how much it feels like something they see is wrong with what people do in the alternate dimension, they cannot intervene to make it right. This is simply because what the group's morality and ethics say is right may be taboo or completely illegal in the dimension they are visiting.

The sheer number of things which can be different from the mainstream LylatRPG world in LADU is a primary reason why it isn't an official group in the LylatRPG universe. The book keeping for such a spinoff world would be quite messy especially when it concerns the local life (an animal in the canon universe could be senitent and intelligend in one of the dimensions in LADU for example). This doesn't bother the participants much, and it still uses particular canon elements from the mainstream LylatRPG world.

In recent months, this RPG was canceled. The GM found that he was having creative issues managing it and let it go to save himself from frustrations. At least this is the general reason. It could be more specific than that in reality.

New rules
Around the same time that the Phoenix Rebellion spinoff was created, StarFox RPG changed yet again, in a way that would completely alter the predefined rules and environment of the game. This was due to how hard it was to keep all the groups in the same time period and coordinate their actions so the entire game world could react properly. In short, the teams moved at different rates of speed and their actions could not be properly chronologically sorted.

The first major change was that the RPG's timeline was erased and restarted at a point a few years before the official start of the Lylat War with Andross.

The second major change was that the feature characters of the video games were not allowed to be directly involved, even as NPC's; nor could characters be created that were in any way related to the feature characters. This meant no brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, or great grandfathers no matter how many times they were 'removed' in the family tree. There were no exceptions to this rule and people trying to make such a character would get an unpleasant reaction. In fact, the first rule of the new version reads (all-caps included for effect):

:"IF YOUR CHARACTER'S HISTORY AND BACKGROUND IS ONLY TWO LINES LONG AND ONE OF THEM STATES THAT YOU ARE THE BROTHER/LOVE INTEREST/FATHER/COUSIN/ANYTHING IN RELATION TO FOX OR ANY OTHER CANON CHARACTERS I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL KILL YOU. ADDITIONALLY CHARACTER HISTORIES THAT ARE JUST SIMPLY TWO LINES LONG WILL ALSO RESULT IN DEATH."

This was to ensure that the characters were entirely original. Further, no crossover characters were allowed. The game was meant to be 100% Star Fox and will only accept Star Fox type characters.

The third change was the environment setting. All the groups except two were erased and new ones formed based on an urban style of play. Rather than fly aroud the Lylat system, all the action takes place on Corneria, with the majority of the groups being street gangs in "Bleaker", a run down district of Corneria City. With the exception of those two afore-mentioned groups, the entire RPG focuses on this one district and essentially revolves around survival in a crime-laden area where gang warefare is frequent and money is practically useless.

The remaining two groups were reset to go with the rest of the RPG, but they were not restricted to the street fighting the others were doing. These groups did their own thing, as long as it was kept canon to the new history. Of these two groups, one still performs duties similar in nature to the original LEST groups.

After this most recent remodelling of the RPG, the game's name was changed from StarFoxRPG to LylatRPG.

Age policy
The RPG itself can get quite violent at times. This includes blood, gore, and total nudity on occasion, although there is never any detail attached to situations where a character is somehow rendered naked. In those situations, it is simply said that the character is naked in one way or another and leave it at that. If two characters start to get sexually involved, then the general procedure is a fade to black so the actions of those characters will not detract from the plot of the group's current "mission". At that point it is an option for the characters that got involved in the fade-to-black to roleplay the situation off camera, in another window or external instant messaging service if only to bring resolution to the situation and to further develop their characters if possible. These off-screen continuations from the fade-to-black moments also help to keep the players from asking the GMs what their characters did and how much. It also saves the GMs the grief of answering, which sometimes meant rolling dice.

Generally, it is assumed that all players are over 16 years old, although like all online games, one cannot be certain of that without direct inquiry or having met them personally in the real world.

Players
Notable players in this RPG include the following people, some of them veterans from the early days of the StarFoxRPG (note the names shown are IRC names unless otherwise stated):
