24.101.155.217: /* Fursuit */

copyedit

Skye Frostpaw (born February 21, 1989) is a furry artist, as well as a fursuiter, living in Northeastern Ohio. Skye is a female snow leopard, with white fur and a grey belly. Her tail is her pride and joy and is often used as a pillow.

Biography
Skye was actually created at random, there is no real meaning behind the name other than the fact that it's a more usual name. Her fur is actually white because of the lack of grey coloured pencils during her creation.

In 2008, Skye was introduced to the fur community via NEOfurs. There she met many friends and started creating a name for herself. NEOfurs is also where Skye was introduced to her baby brother, Eleete_Frostpaw, another Snow Leopard in Northeastern Ohio. They only lived roughly 20 minutes away from each other and soon grew very close, they were almost inseparable. During a meet to try and start DnD, Skye and Eleete came up with the last name Frostpaw together.

Unknown to many, Skye has been diagnosed with a rather severe medical condition known as Crohn's Disease. She has had 3 surgeries since being diagnosed:(2005- removal of 1/2 the colon, the entire ileum, the appendix;2006- removal of a large abscess (about the size of a soft ball);2007- incision hernia repair). This is one of the major reasons as to why Skye does not fursuit for long periods of time and is often not seen running around conventions. [for more on Crohn's, check out CCFA.org]

Skye recently moved to Central New York, where she lived with her mate Palla for a year. She is currently living in Ohio once more and trying to finish her degree in Psychology. As of March 27, 2013, Skye and Palla were happily married to one another. Palla is currently attending basic training for the U.S. Army and will be active duty, making Skye an army wife. It is unsure as to where they will be living after his graduation.

Hobbies/Interests
Aside from attending conventions and drawing furry art. Skye is a percussionist and loves listening to marching bands. She was head snare in her High School marching band and even went on to play cymbals for BGSU's Falcon Marching Band in 2007.

During her High School years, Skye was actually an avid member of her 4-H club and bred rabbits to show and sell. She specialized in Netherland Dwarves and French Lops. (It is said that her French Lop 'character', Sugar, is based off of her first rabbit. Which was a French Lop named Sugar)

Fursuit
Skye Frostpaw is currently running around in a suit created by Media. She was built in December of 2008 and was received in April of 2009.

Skye's suit is a full suit made of Monterey Mills White Fox Fur with an airbrushed grey belly. Her tail is removable, making it possible to wear as a partial suit. The rosettes on Skye's suit are hand sewn and only cover her thighs and shoulders.

By 2014, Skye hopes to have an entirely new fursuit made with shorter fur that will allow her to wear clothing.

Conventions
* Furry Connection North: 2009, 2010, 2011
* Morphicon: 2009, 2010
* Anthrocon: 2009, 2010, 2011
