219.89.223.125:

A MUCK is an online role-playing game that is usually text-based and accessable through telnet, as well as a variety of MUCK clients. The term MUCK doesn't actually stand for anything, but is rather a play on the word "MUD", which stands for "Multi User Dungeon/Domain". However, the popular backronym for MUCK is "Multi-User Created Kingdom", which seemed fitting.

Each MUCK has its own sets of rules and policies. Some MUCKs allow Players to be Out Of Character (OOC) as much as they like, while others require them to be In Character (IC) more often, or always. Rules can vary in different areas of the MUCK.

Most MUCKs allow Players to build. Creation might be restricted to simple objects, expanded to rooms and exits, or policy might allow for complex scripting. The creation and customization aspects of MUCK allow the player base to build a living, breathing world.

The term 'mucking' means playing on a MUCK.

List of Furry Themed MUCKs
This is just a highlight - for a virtually complete list, see Rhal's Furry MU*s Connector by PeterCat.

* FurryMUCK (homepage) - The "original" MUCK for furries
* Tapestries MUCK (homepage) - A more adult-oriented MUCK
* Sociopolitical Ramifications MUCK (homepage) - A general-themed social and RP MUCK based in Sweden.
* Furscape MUCK (homepage) - A hard science fiction MUCK.
* The Lion King MUCK (homepage) - Strictly for Lion King roleplaying
* MUCK (homepage) - A strictly-roleplaying fantasy/medieval furry MUCK.
* TigerMUCK (homepage) - Small but friendly all furry world.
