Lord Tarrion is a male vampire bat, former leader of the Northern Tribes of The World of Eternal Shadows until his death in 2008. He appeared on the Eurofurence 14 Pawpet Show "Dreamcatchers" in 2008. His player and voice actor is Fairlight with FinFarenath performing his wings.

This puppet was custom made by Xan for the show. He has red illuminated eyes that flash brightly when he is enraged, and his blinking eyes add a lot to his expression.

Background story
Family
We don't know much about his family. His own daughter, Sky, killed him while in a fight over Black Ice, a substance that was used to bind dreamers in the Dream World.

Friends and foes
In the Dream World he met Poke and his friends, and immediately there was hostility between him and the ferret.

Poke, is weird. Very weird. Be afraid. Very afraid. And make sure you cover your ears and protect your ass.
Poke is one of the main characters in Eurofurence's Pawpet Show.
He’s not exactly dumb, but he focusses on his intellect on all the wrong things.. collecting dildos, fantasizing about sex. He thinks he’s a macho, irresistible, but he’s just a pervert, most of the time.
He has got his good and soft sides, as could be seen at the Eurofurence 14 show, where he fell in love with a female bat called Sky.

Poke appeared the first time on the Eurofurence 7 Pawpet Show in 2001. his player and voice actor is Fairlight.

Like his three friends, Lori the fox, Mika the snow leopard and Lionel the lion she is a Folkmanis puppet.

Background story
Family
Poke has got a brother, Peek, who is not quite like him, and his parents are Gosub (his father) and Return (his Mom, a tax advisor). His parents never had much time for him, so he had to get by on his own most of the time.
For some reaons Ferrets have this faible for C64 Basic commands.

Fairlight

2008-09-15T13:02:17Z

217.158.138.34: /* External links */

Marcus "Fairlight" Hess is a furry musician, and the 'F' in the informal band ERF. He made his premiere to the fandom at large in the CD Furry Fantasies II. His most famous track is Morning in the Jungle; he also appears on various other tracks as a guitarist and background singer.

Fairlight is also the founder of the LSD (Lionel Scritchie's Dormitory) show, which is Eurofurence's Saturday night Pawpet show. As one of the head puppeteers, he developed plays and voices Poke, a one-track-minded, big-mouthed ferret. He also voices and usually plays Panda, a bored and snooty panda who keeps appearing where you least expect him. Fairlight's latest character is Rick, a sheep dog, who had his first appearance as a presenter and impromptu actor on TV.

Fairlight moved from Germany to the UK in 2007.

DoPE

2008-09-15T13:00:51Z

217.158.138.34: Added Link to LSD Blog

DoPE (the Department of Pawpetry Entertainment), is the crew behind the pawpet show at Eurofurence. The show is also known as the LSD Show, as it was originally set at Lionel Scritchie's Dormitory. Despite the drug-refering puns of the acronyms, the only drugs involved in making the show are pure and utter nonsense along with a great love for puppetry.

History
The initiative for the show came from Fairlight, who took his lion pawpet to ConFurence 11 and met TeddyRuxpin of West, who was organizing the pawpet events at the convention. Fairlight immediately became addicted to puppeteering and organized a short music parody show for Eurofurence 6. Additional puppeteers on that show were Lynard, Eisfuchs and Jaryic. The LSD Show became one of the main events of the following Eurofurences.

Contributors
Since Eurofurence 8 the stories have been written by Cheetah and Eisfuchs. Cheetah is also the director and sound effect creator of the show. The head puppeteers are:
* Eisfuchs (performer and voice of Lori the naïve vixen)
* Fairlight (performer and voice of Poke the big-mouthed and perverse ferret)
* Lynard (voice and performer of Lionel C. Scruffycat the rational lion)
* TaniDaReal (voice and performer of Mika the tough snow-leopardess)

Additional long-time puppeteers and stage-hands are FinFarenath, o'wolf, Tigerseye, Xan and Zefiro. Backdrops have been designed by TaniDaReal. Props, additional puppets and various set elements usually get designed and built by various crew members. The puppet stage manager and assistent director is Reesa. Sound and pre-recordings engineer is Jaryic, lights are operated and designed by Nightfox. The crew also includes the Eurofurence video documentary staff under direction of BigBlueFox and additional helpers for scene-shifting, curtain operation and lighting. The show at Eurofurence XI had more than 20 people on staff.

Among the special guests on the LSD Show were Lisanne Norman, Chairo, Uncle Kage and Heather Alexander.
