For the first year or so of its existence, the majority of people on 4chan looked down upon furries, even [[funny animal]] cartoons, as a nuisance that does not belong on an anime board. By April 2nd, it remained and people against it tried to flood it with non-furry images, such as [[Wikipedia:EroGuro|EroGuro]] -- the moderators immediately banned those people. Finally, on April 3, the moderators removed the board, and banned every person who had posted in it -- including those who complained about it in the /fur/ board. The banning almost completely eliminated all furry postings for the next several months. This prank was not repeated again in 2006.

On several occasions since 4chan began, some members of the /b/ community have organized raids against [[WikiFur]] utilizing the message board as a communications medium. Typical punishment consisted of a forum ban that could last for two weeks or longer, or be permanent, depending on the offense. Such vandalism is similar to pranks on Wikipedia and other wikis.

On 2006-08-23, the 4chan moderators started to strictly enforce its previously neglected rules on posting illegal content, private forum/wiki raids (such the ones on Wikifur,) and posting personal information. This caused a great deal of unrest within the /b/ community, with many expressing their discontent. Ultimately, most users stayed, accepting the new rules, while some left to find other image boards at which they could post such content without punishment.

A new home was found at the [[7chan]] image-board, and a new /b/ community was recreated there with less restrictive rules, and a dedicated board for the posting of calls to invasion, /i/. This board does not feature a list of people that draw furries that don't want them posted. Although polite takedown requests from said people are usually heeded, impolite or impatient takedown requests from artists are often disregarded. Due to pressure from [[furry artist]] [[Jeremy Bernal]], whose filed repeated [[Wikipedia:DMCA|DMCA]] takedown notices for WTFur, posting of his art or other media from [[Sexyfur|Sexyfur.com]] is considered a bannable offense.

As it was with [[WTFux]], its main [[furry]] directory image is a singular topical board called '''/furi/'''. This allows all manner of media topics to be displayed, ranging from clean art to adult material, to straight to gay sexual content, to [[vore]], [[Wikipedia:Coprophilia|scat]] and [[cub art]], all posted side-by-side.

Because of this, there have been several requests by users to subdivide this master board into smaller categories, using a model similar to other imageboards such as [[Fchan]]. The official stance of the moderation team is that requests of this nature will be ignored, and when questioned about this decision, ex-moderator [[Mellis]] responded thus why the reason of a single unified board:

And so, any future requests by users to subdivide the content of the board into smaller categories, will, as stated before (see "Policies and content",) be ignored.

On November 30, 2006, Arcturus cut-off cho0b's access to the WTFur server, under the assumption he had given mod password access to the /furi/ board to what was thought to be "many random people." The act was largely considered damage control by the moderation team at the time, as the new user or users with this password deleted the bans in place on the page for posters of kiddie porn, bestiality and guro, and immediately afterwards banned several of the more frequent tripcode-using users.{{fact}}

cho0b, confused as to why he could not login to any of his sites, redirected the Lulz.net domain name. That night, Arcturus purchased the domain name [[Sidechan|Sidechan.net]], and setup the DNS to point it at what was currently lulz.net, transferring all of the content from it to the new site, while deleting all data owned by cho0b hosted on his server for the websites WTFux.org, digital-jihad.net, w-t-c.info, 4-20.info, and a few others.{{fact}}

On January 7th, 2007, Sidechan was hacked by someone posting by the name "jihad" (believed to be cho0b), and all of the boards were wiped clean of their content, with an advertisement for lulz.net popping up on /furi/ before sidechan went down completely.

DarkDoomer's main artistic character is [[:Image:MIW.jpg|Miw]], a cartoony or [[anime]]-styled black cat. No matter hwat he's arguing not being a furry, a cat fits him perfectly.
He has also Kittie,a goth white [[cat]] girl; Patachu666, an orange-beige [[anthro]] [[digimon]]; Rayna, a female [[Yoshi]] and some others.

[http://www.furaffinity.net/user/patachu/ Patachu] is also the name of Darkdoomer's [[troll]] account on furaffinity, where he posts mspaint-made drawings, and types all his messages in caps.
However, being a computer art student; DarkDoomer has an interesting artistic potential mastering [[Photoshop]] and traditional tools for shading and coloring techniques.
He's unofficially open to commissions; unfortunately he doesn't manages to get a good reputation amongst the community.

Surprizingly, DarkDoomer sometimes releases his anthropomorphic works under the [[Wikipedia:Creative Commons|Creative Commons]] [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ Attribution-NonCommercial-Share Alike] license, and occasionally other CC licenses.

Disregard this, he applied on [[Fchan's]] [[DNP]], which have been cancelled for the reason cited above
