Southern Manitoba Organization of Furs

206.45.164.119:

Southern Manitoba Organization of Furs is a casual group of furry fans and friends based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. (The acronym SMOF is also a tongue-in-cheek reference to the science fiction acronym "Secret Masters of Fandom.")

The group meets almost every Saturday in the Exchange District coffeshop [http://www.a-zone.org/mondragon/ Mondragon]. If you attend, you can expect anywhere from three to fifteen other furs showing up on any given week. The group also sponsors (on an irregular basis) outings for camping, dinner, or park trips.

'''[[Wikipedia:Mailing Lists|Mailing Lists]]''' are set up E-Mail correspondence between furs of similar location, hobbies, and/or personalities.

Most Mailing Lists are set up by Location so that Furs have easy access to local communities and cons.

If you can think of a mailing list that deserves writing about, add them in here, and maybe someone will. Don't let that stop '''you''' writing about a list!

Axel Wolf

2005-08-18T21:08:20Z

206.45.164.119:

A lion-turned wolf fur from Cincinnati, Ohio. His real name is Matt Thomsson. Joined the fandom back in 2002, he has become a person with a painfull past throughout LiveJournal.com under the name earthlion. Thought himself as one of the last furs in Cincinnati, pointing out that majority of furs that lived in Ohio were in the Dayton and Columbus regions and furs were moving away from Cincinnati due to the strong anti-gay pressence in the city and the surrounding areas over the years. He is currently on planning to move to New York City before the year is over.
