She generally is known to take criticism, but only after it has been decently questioned. Katrina will often cycle between taking hiatus from a site, to returning on a high action posting.

KatrinaTheLamia has not made much for decent works herself, however, she has had a hand in giving advice and support on various other works done, include her (roleplayed) twin brother, [[JasonTheEchidna]]. She has been spending 2010 working on her materials--as part of her new years resolution.

KatrinaTheLamia is known as a Game Designer, Artist and Writer. She had been in post secondary twice. The first time, she was forced to drop out on the ill placed advice of a suspect doctor. The second time, she mostly just got irritated at how useless this programming course was. Generally noting today that a school that bills itself as "the area standard", with some accuracy, that teaches Java and Visual Basic 5 is possibly a colossal waste of time.

She has been on the internet since about 1998. So, it is understandable that --some-- ''a lot'' people do not like her. Due to this status, she generally refers to herself like a [[Wikipedia:Lovecraft |lovecraftian]] type creature as far as the internet is concerned. Really is not surprised when people see things she suggests as odd. As she has seen the '''Power 5''' images as they were released and having been an oldfag on [[4chan]], before she decided that she was part of the cancer, and biopsied herself from 4chan. She suggests that other parts of the cancer, voluntarily biopsy themselves, so that [[4chan]] can return to its previous state.

== Fursona ==

Katrina is a [[Wikipedia:Coral_snake|coral snake]] [[Wikipedia:Lamia|Lamia]] with black leathery wings, blonde hair and two long red horns on the top of her head. Generally having taken on various [[Wikipedia:Succubus|Succubus]] traits as she has gone along. This is just what she calls her "preferred form"--listing her correct form is mostly for those cleared to see it.

== History ==

Katrina was not always a Lamia--she spend many years as DakeDesu the Confused Werewolf. That is a werewolf that generally seemed to be rather confusing to talk to, and confused herself. Generally tended to show a fair amount of bipolar type traits.

She however stopped going by DakeDesu after a while, noting that, "it was beaten to death by some girl with oddly coloured eyes, who screamed out oddly polite japanese gibberish as she beat the name to death."

She notes that her old nick of "DakeDesu" is based on poorly translated [[Jerry Springer]] slang, and predates [[Rozen Maiden]] by about a year--never mind the [[4chan|DesuDesuDesu]] meme.

She also went as Sheol while promoting an ill fated website "Rastar Hell".

=== Accomplishment ===

Not much. She has mostly slunk around various communities, such as GameDeveloper.Net (down), [http://gamedev.net GameDev.Net], [[BobandGeorge|Bob and George]], [[Kid Radd]]. [[GamerDNA]] and [[Rant Radio]]. She has spoke a few things, and really has not gotten much solid behind her. Lists of things she has done:

* Got people to enjoy her writing--which is only mildly furry.
* Gave some decent programming advice out
* Made some mediocre, at best, artwork
* Some small demos of programs that never reached high functionality
* Helped start the trend to refer to graphics as 2bpp, 3bpp and 4bpp with their style noted on the Bob and George forums. After raising a big stink about the ambiguity of the terms 8bit and 16bit in terms of Pixel Art and Sprite Art.
* Kept the [[KidRadd]] community going--if only in life support as a comatose vegetable.

It should be noted, that she has rarely, if ever asked for any help on any of her projects. The last time she has ever really spammed out the link to her KidRadd site, in any amount would have been about 2007.

This sections seems validated, as due to a recent vandalism of this wiki entry. This section is meant to take a neutral tone of the situation. Without building up Katrina too much, and not pointlessly flaming her either. This section will require citations put on any of the claims possible as it goes on here.

Katrina has ticked some people off. The list seems to grow everyday. Though, sometimes it is her fault. In other cases she has had people admit that they are puzzled as to what Katrina did to tick them off.

Katrina knows that she has ticked a lot of people off-usually they are people she finds to be drama whores anyways. This list has generally gotten long enough, that she generally is very surprised she has not yet appeared on Encyclopedia Dramatica. When that day comes, she will be the first to suggest large amounts of stupid stuff that she had done, so the page has a complete list of crap she has done.

Her issue is, most of the people involved with her drama does only a small amount of research--and miss all the GOOD reasons to be ticked off at her.

Typically going to random accusations that just seem silly to look at. Mostly around her constant pestering people for help (which she rarely, if ever asks for it), accusations of art theft (including on incident where she was suggesting she continue an discontinued comic, that if she did that, it would mean she'd scratch out the artwork, write her own parts to it and possibly add a few original characters--merely just continue a series somebody else did. This apparently, is art theft) and various accusations of pulling copy pasta.

It is mostly irritating that they just do blank template accusations, rather than actually do research for valid reasons to give to hate her guts.

===== Accusations of excuses based on medical issues =====

This is an accusation that has been made very often. Now, while she did use it,circa 2004. She kind of has been avoiding it. As she knows that this is a bad excuse on the matter. And even if she did have a mental illness, it would not get in the way like this.

Since then, has done some reflection, and has noted that most of the issues regarding this, were mostly created by her mother. Her mother who has had to deal with being abused as a child, [[wikipedia:Munchausen syndrome |Manchausen Syndrome]], [[wikipedia:Münchausen syndrome by proxy |Manchausen Syndrom By Proxy]], several head injuries and now has the wonderful idea that food is optional (essentailly having her mind asphyxiate on lack of food).She is giving her family a bit of space--and will likely talk to her Mother again when she is ready.

She is reflecting for a bit, to confirm how much of what she was told is wrong with her, is accurate. The diagnosis of [[wikipedia:aspergers syndrome |Aspergers Syndrome]] that she got under her mom's care, has already been shown to be false as of two years ago. She is fairly certain that the diagnosis of [[wikipedia:Bipolar disorder | Bipolar Disorder]] will turn out the same way. As she did not start showing any symptoms of it, until after she started getting treatment for it. She generally laments that she went into the hospital at the age of thirteen for three weeks, and came out at the age of fifteen. Under her Mom's care, Katrina drank a fair amount of milk, because her mom refused to believe allergy reports that indicated low tolerance to lactose. Her time living with Mom was filled with her Mom selectively listening to medical advice.

She kind of started to wonder how true these were, when none of the treatments did anything, and after a little bit of research, the idea of cycling over one month, with an overall macro cycle of six months, was too fast to even be quick cycling. The treatments generally stopped showing any effect in about six months to a year, which she would go into an episode.

She had to deal with a drug over dose in August 2009, when she was at a half dosage of what the doctor wanted to get her for when the end of the month came about. This over dose involved feeling sick, having issues moving, dehydration symptoms and passing solid, pitch black bowel movements every four hours.

She has moved on. People who disagree with her ideas generally have long memories of impressions, but none on any factual information. So, she expects to have these accusations of "using her mental illnesses as an excuse" for around five years--as generally any accusations she has had addressed to her, tend to disappear completely after that time.

===== Nick Theft of her Nick (circa 2000 through 2005) =====

Between the years 2000 through to around 2004 or 2005, she had somebody take up the handle DakeDesu, take various programs she made and things she drew, and tried to present themselves as her. He then tried using this to extort her. Which lasted for a period of eight months. Eventually she just grew tired of this guy, who generally was very incompetent. Branded her nickname taken from brokenJjapanese as not worth saying it is unique (this was well before the [[DesuDesuDesu]] meme), and started making lists on her current website noting what communities she was in, and posting her updates in manner that makes this other person, known only as "blowtorch" seem a little silly.

This incident has generally took her to regard art thieves as generally laughable, and incompetent. Generally not agreeing that people should overly worry too much about them. As typically these people are unable to produce such works on their own, and it is fairly easy to lead people back to the original artist/programmer/writer, for the real deal.

Her complete disregard of any reason to consider art thefts as any form of a threat, and typically very laughable to behold what she refers to as their bumbling, was what eventually lead to her bumping heads with [[Maneko]].

===== Accusations of request to help her projects =====

Generally having been online since Toby was a puppy, she has invariably asked people to help her on projects. She generally does not bother with it though. As she has seen these generally turn into large forums with threats of "please help" in them.

Generally, of most of her current projects, and even some of her ones that are older than dirt, she generally has not asked for help, citing a statistic she read in 2002 that "90% of open source projects are written by the maintainer."

She does give out offers of web hosting, if she thinks you could use it. Typically, most people turn these down, so she only tends to ask once.

===== Bob and George/Art Theft Accusations =====

It seems that her biggest issues are from the Troll Armies that tend to appear on [[Bob and George]]'s Forums. She was banned at the end of 2009, and generally reserved that she would not request her ban end. Some have continued to talk to her after this event from Bob and George, generally noting a fair amount of issues in staff and admin policy.

She lost all interest in the community when going over one of Red Chocobo's Lets Plays on [[Something Awful]] she found comments from people who were on bob and George, who remarked that the place was getting scary for them--even in comparison to the stuff [[The Goons]] came up with.

The main issue, was she kind of started questioning [[Maneko]]'s policies on the site. Generally ending with the two of them unable to see eye to eye. This resulted in an incident that Katrina refers to as "The Thread". Unfortunately, this has caused [[Maneko]] to ask some of his online friends to also join in on the drama. Some that Katrina generally remarked as rather silly looking in their actions.

This ended with her being referred to as an Art Theft on that Sprite comic's forums, for suggesting an idea where she would try to put original writing, original scratched sprites and a few original places|characters, in somebody else's series without first asking permission. Because of this assertion, she was branded an Art Theft. Complications of the branding resulted in her banning from Bob and George.Com..

===== #MK =====

During her time on #MK an IRC channel, she got at odds with a channel op. Who generally would ban her over various really bad ideas. Her bans on this channel, she remarks as comical:

* Accusations of inciting hate speak by suggesting that another channel user not talk in AOL speak.
* Channel Flooding and Spamming. She had not been talking at the time.
* Vague claims of being two offensive. This two weaks after one of her friends was banned for being "too easily offended". The op generally citing reasons for Katrina's ban, that when [[TwinBeeMkII]] was having her issues, were deamed not an issue because the op liked the person who was being offensive.
* The op banning Katrina was kicked out, when he said stuff to make Katrina's ex-girlfriend Kita leave the channel, not wanting to return. Kita's popularity got the staff member canned.

Katrina has talked to a few of the other ops, who generally just say that they do not want to talk about it. Due to issues the op doing the ban hammer happy thing was having at the time.

===== #rantradio IRC channel =====

This is an odd one. It started with Katrina making a joke, and another chatter completely freaking out. This is a downward spiral that mostly has her in trouble, because she could not conform well enough to a set of noncomformists (that is a short summary of the situation).

===== #GreenHillZone IRC Channel =====

This one is even more odd than the one before it. Katrina believed herself to be possessed by her ex-girlfriend Kita's dead fiance, Sonia Phoenixia. Kita believed it, blinded by her wish for Sonia to back, and Katrina put up a very, very good facade of her. (According to Kita.) Eventually, she dropped the facade and Kita saw Katrina had tricked her, leading to very much flaming, banning, accusations, and a very angry friend of Kita's verbally assaulting Katrina after the event upset Kita so much that Kita quit.

===== Bulbanews =====

Banned for calling an admin an enlightened godlike Buddha figure, while asking for clarification on a confusing site policy. It generally involved having people use the commenting system on a MediaWiki based site for the strict purpose of pointing out broken links or typos in the page. Rather than following why Wikis were created in the first place.

She generally regards her banned for insulting an admin by calling the "god" possibly her most comical ban to date.

=== NIMH Labs ===

NIMH Labs is mostly a website of Katrina's that has largely fallen into neglect as of late.

It was named by one of her friends, [[Yugosaki]], as joke based upon Katrina's apartment at the time. Noting that it was such a chaotic mess, that if sentient intelligence were to crawl out of anywhere, it would be her apartment.

NIMH Labs, is meant to be a location where Katrina posts her graphical works, games she has made, various programming type elements, writings, and all those other wonderful things she does. She just has yet to find a back end that she particularly enjoys using for the site. Having gone through MediaWiki, Wordpress, Zepto and ModX--without much satisfaction on any of those. Currently working on a back end known as Rosebush for this. Other projects of NIMH Labs are expanded on below

==== Lamia Browser ====

Lamia Browser started off as Katrina looking into the code bases of Links, Elinks, Links2, Lynx and Links Hacked for the purpose of adding DOM3, HTML5 and CSS3 to the code base. However Katrina found that the only part of the code base of Lynx she really cared about was the console and frame buffer output code (which likely will change).

Katrina having issues thinking of a super cat type name for it simply applied her own species to the product. It currently is in the Alpha stage, with Katrina posting updates to it on [http://github.com/KatrinaTheLamia github] sporadically.

Once into the release cycle, Lamia will base its major releases on various species of snakes, such as milk, corn, coral, etc.. With minor release being code named after various subspecies of these snakes. With the mascot of the product reflecting that species. Making it amongst the rare ranks of web browsers with a cartoon funny animal mascot. Currently holding FireFox/Firebird, Lynx and Arachnid.

Lamia's main goals is to go beyond the web browser market and move into also adding newsgroup, twitter, facebook, youtube (via frame buffered mplayer), irc, and other support via its interface that from the start is designed to be highly moddable.

Other goals of Lamia are to try to have it be decently commented and try to have the source follow something similar to Python's PEP-8 standard. As well as allowing the ability to turn off parts of Lamia to keep them from loading. Lamia also plans to have the option to optionally load in the JVM, Parrot, Mono or SAGE Miss System Virtual Machines. Since it is modular as its base design, this does not imply bloat.

==== RPG Source Books ====

Katrina in her goals with NIMH Labs desires to present various elements of graphic design, marketing and programming into her page. In amongst a few psychological elements. Taking advice from a few of the people on [[Rant Radio]] she had also plans to employ the use of using various [[ttRPG]] systems to demonstrate one's skills in real life, as well as promote problem solving skills presented in many [[ttRPG]]s

Typically in how she presents the Source Books, it will be for material that is out dated, public domain or for other reasons, hard to purchase a decent copy of the information presented. Katrina also plans to present and publish a few fan made source books as well, as various esoteric or legacy source books.

Complimenting this, she also will present a few charts on current game data, such as Pokemon, Megaman: Net Battle and other games with fairly developed metagame systems.

So far, plans for source books to be released are

=== Elissa's House of Burlesque ===

Elissa's House of Burlesque was a website that created after Katrina got confused by her hosting's ToS. Elissa's House was a site set up by the hosts of the Futanari Palace, to host the artwork that Katrina drew. They were generally very crude and poorly drawn. Included both pornographical works she did and clean stuff. Include various pictures that included anthropomorphic animals, robot guro and bestiality in the porn section. The clean section had mostly anthropomorphic animals and characters from various works she was playing with.

None of the works had any polish to them, and were crude--not really that decent as far as furry art goes.

She did them mostly for the lulz involved in doing them. As she does not understand why drawing something fucked implies getting off on anything in the picture. She generally regards the follow as challenges: Rules 34 (there is porn of it), 35 (if not, it will be made), 37 (if you post it, somebody will get off on it), 46 (there is yiff of it) and 63 (canonical gender means nothing. Particularly the challenge on Rule 37.

She is currently having scanner issues, which when fully addressed, she will take on her challenge on Rule 37 in full force. To create a piece of thoroughly unfappable high quality porn.

== Therian Status ==

Katrina generally regards her mental state, most of the time as Lamia. Generally noting that she can S-shift into other forms (usually an [[Wikipedia:Eris_(spider)|Eris Spider]] [[Wikipedia:Drider|Drider]], Dayglo Purple Goo Girl, Bee Girl, Nine Tailed [[Wikipedia:Kitsune|Kitsune]] and a few other states)... however she notes in doing so, it has a nasty side effect of having herself M-Shift into that state as well. Usually with mixed results, that switch between lusting after whatever is closest (the Goo Girl), or just hunting for "food" (the Dryder).

Katrina has always known she is a fur of some sort. Not really understanding what it is like to not be a furry in her mind. Not really needing to outwardly express this furriness all that often. Just having it exude from her, regardless of her day to day life.

It seems that her S-Shifting will cause side effects on various electronic devices--having issues keeping electronics stay in an intact state. Mostly because she has no other way to explain it. Just note, that whatever it is, if not that, generally results in having to budget a new computer ever June like clockwork.

== Otherkin Status ==

Katrina refers to herself as "the self proclaimed daughter of [[Wikipedia:Eris_(mythology)|Eris]]". As well as a servant of [[Wikipedia:Inari_(mythology)|Inari]]. Not really stating who the father is--and generally stating that she is an odd amagolation of [[Hysimnia]] and [[Makhai]].

Noting that every other religion out there has a messiah figure--citing [[Wikipedia:Horas|Horas]], Marduk, [[Wikipedia:Jesus|Jesus]], [[Wikipedia:Kristna|Krishna]] (refering to him as the East Indian chap she cannot ever remember the name of), and [[Wikipedia:Mithras|Mithras]]--[[Wikipedia:Discordianism|Discordia]] really needs their own Messiah type figure. She states that her qualifications as "Daughter of Eris" are that she is the only one insane enough to take up the role. I mean--you'd have to be crazy to go around calling yourself the Messiah of any deity, much less than the Messiah of Eris.

She also makes odd claims about being a representative of Temporal Matters. Noting that Eris is the correct leader of Temporal Matters (hence why most people find time travel plots screwed up--it was Eris), as Eris has pulled off the Grandmother Effect as she technically is her own grandmother. Catalina is to take over from Eris over the next century.

It should be noted as a Discordian when regarding her otherkin status, you should hold tight onto that fifth pentabarf.

Her issue is, most of the people involved with her drama does only a small amount of research--and miss all the GOOD reasons to be ticked off at her.

Typically going to random accusations that just seem silly to look at. Mostly around her constant pestering people for help (which she rarely, if ever asks for it), accusations of art theft (including on incident where she was suggesting she continue an discontinued comic, that if she did that, it would mean she'd scratch out the artwork, write her own parts to it and possibly add a few original characters--merely just continue a series somebody else did. This apparently, is art theft) and various accusations of pulling copy pasta.

It is mostly irritating that they just do blank template accusations, rather than actually do research for valid reasons to give to hate her guts.

===== Accusations of excuses based on medical issues =====

This is an accusation that has been made very often. Now, while she did use it,circa 2004. She kind of has been avoiding it. As she knows that this is a bad excuse on the matter. And even if she did have a mental illness, it would not get in the way like this.

Since then, has done some reflection, and has noted that most of the issues regarding this, were mostly created by her mother. Her mother who has had to deal with being abused as a child, [[wikipedia:Munchausen syndrome |Manchausen Syndrome]], [[wikipedia:Münchausen syndrome by proxy |Manchausen Syndrom By Proxy]], several head injuries and now has the wonderful idea that food is optional (essentailly having her mind asphyxiate on lack of food).She is giving her family a bit of space--and will likely talk to her Mother again when she is ready.

She is reflecting for a bit, to confirm how much of what she was told is wrong with her, is accurate. The diagnosis of [[wikipedia:aspergers syndrome |Aspergers Syndrome]] that she got under her mom's care, has already been shown to be false as of two years ago. She is fairly certain that the diagnosis of [[wikipedia:Bipolar disorder | Bipolar Disorder]] will turn out the same way. As she did not start showing any symptoms of it, until after she started getting treatment for it. She generally laments that she went into the hospital at the age of thirteen for three weeks, and came out at the age of fifteen. Under her Mom's care, Katrina drank a fair amount of milk, because her mom refused to believe allergy reports that indicated low tolerance to lactose. Her time living with Mom was filled with her Mom selectively listening to medical advice.

She kind of started to wonder how true these were, when none of the treatments did anything, and after a little bit of research, the idea of cycling over one month, with an overall macro cycle of six months, was too fast to even be quick cycling. The treatments generally stopped showing any effect in about six months to a year, which she would go into an episode.

She had to deal with a drug over dose in August 2009, when she was at a half dosage of what the doctor wanted to get her for when the end of the month came about. This over dose involved feeling sick, having issues moving, dehydration symptoms and passing solid, pitch black bowel movements every four hours.

She has moved on. People who disagree with her ideas generally have long memories of impressions, but none on any factual information. So, she expects to have these accusations of "using her mental illnesses as an excuse" for around five years--as generally any accusations she has had addressed to her, tend to disappear completely after that time.

===== Nick Theft of her Nick (circa 2000 through 2005) =====

Between the years 2000 through to around 2004 or 2005, she had somebody take up the handle DakeDesu, take various programs she made and things she drew, and tried to present themselves as her. He then tried using this to extort her. Which lasted for a period of eight months. Eventually she just grew tired of this guy, who generally was very incompetent. Branded her nickname taken from brokenJjapanese as not worth saying it is unique (this was well before the [[DesuDesuDesu]] meme), and started making lists on her current website noting what communities she was in, and posting her updates in manner that makes this other person, known only as "blowtorch" seem a little silly.

This incident has generally took her to regard art thieves as generally laughable, and incompetent. Generally not agreeing that people should overly worry too much about them. As typically these people are unable to produce such works on their own, and it is fairly easy to lead people back to the original artist/programmer/writer, for the real deal.

Her complete disregard of any reason to consider art thefts as any form of a threat, and typically very laughable to behold what she refers to as their bumbling, was what eventually lead to her bumping heads with [[Maneko]].

===== Accusations of request to help her projects =====

Generally having been online since Toby was a puppy, she has invariably asked people to help her on projects. She generally does not bother with it though. As she has seen these generally turn into large forums with threats of "please help" in them.

Generally, of most of her current projects, and even some of her ones that are older than dirt, she generally has not asked for help, citing a statistic she read in 2002 that "90% of open source projects are written by the maintainer."

She does give out offers of web hosting, if she thinks you could use it. Typically, most people turn these down, so she only tends to ask once.

===== Bob and George/Art Theft Accusations =====

It seems that her biggest issues are from the Troll Armies that tend to appear on [[Bob and George]]'s Forums. She was banned at the end of 2009, and generally reserved that she would not request her ban end. Some have continued to talk to her after this event from Bob and George, generally noting a fair amount of issues in staff and admin policy.

She lost all interest in the community when going over one of Red Chocobo's Lets Plays on [[Something Awful]] she found comments from people who were on bob and George, who remarked that the place was getting scary for them--even in comparison to the stuff [[The Goons]] came up with.

The main issue, was she kind of started questioning [[Maneko]]'s policies on the site. Generally ending with the two of them unable to see eye to eye. This resulted in an incident that Katrina refers to as "The Thread". Unfortunately, this has caused [[Maneko]] to ask some of his online friends to also join in on the drama. Some that Katrina generally remarked as rather silly looking in their actions.

This ended with her being referred to as an Art Theft on that Sprite comic's forums, for suggesting an idea where she would try to put original writing, original scratched sprites and a few original places|characters, in somebody else's series without first asking permission. Because of this assertion, she was branded an Art Theft. Complications of the branding resulted in her banning from Bob and George.Com..

===== #MK =====

During her time on #MK an IRC channel, she got at odds with a channel op. Who generally would ban her over various really bad ideas. Her bans on this channel, she remarks as comical:

* Accusations of inciting hate speak by suggesting that another channel user not talk in AOL speak.
* Channel Flooding and Spamming. She had not been talking at the time.
* Vague claims of being two offensive. This two weaks after one of her friends was banned for being "too easily offended". The op generally citing reasons for Katrina's ban, that when [[TwinBeeMkII]] was having her issues, were deamed not an issue because the op liked the person who was being offensive.
* The op banning Katrina was kicked out, when he said stuff to make Katrina's ex-girlfriend Kita leave the channel, not wanting to return. Kita's popularity got the staff member canned.

Katrina has talked to a few of the other ops, who generally just say that they do not want to talk about it. Due to issues the op doing the ban hammer happy thing was having at the time.

===== #rantradio IRC channel =====

This is an odd one. It started with Katrina making a joke, and another chatter completely freaking out. This is a downward spiral that mostly has her in trouble, because she could not conform well enough to a set of noncomformists (that is a short summary of the situation).

===== Bulbanews =====

Banned for calling an admin an enlightened godlike Buddha figure, while asking for clarification on a confusing site policy. It generally involved having people use the commenting system on a MediaWiki based site for the strict purpose of pointing out broken links or typos in the page. Rather than following why Wikis were created in the first place.

She generally regards her banned for insulting an admin by calling the "god" possibly her most comical ban to date.

=== NIMH Labs ===

NIMH Labs is mostly a website of Katrina's that has largely fallen into neglect as of late.

It was named by one of her friends, [[Yugosaki]], as joke based upon Katrina's apartment at the time. Noting that it was such a chaotic mess, that if sentient intelligence were to crawl out of anywhere, it would be her apartment.

NIMH Labs, is meant to be a location where Katrina posts her graphical works, games she has made, various programming type elements, writings, and all those other wonderful things she does. She just has yet to find a back end that she particularly enjoys using for the site. Having gone through MediaWiki, Wordpress, Zepto and ModX--without much satisfaction on any of those. Currently working on a back end known as Rosebush for this. Other projects of NIMH Labs are expanded on below

==== Lamia Browser ====

Lamia Browser started off as Katrina looking into the code bases of Links, Elinks, Links2, Lynx and Links Hacked for the purpose of adding DOM3, HTML5 and CSS3 to the code base. However Katrina found that the only part of the code base of Lynx she really cared about was the console and frame buffer output code (which likely will change).

Katrina having issues thinking of a super cat type name for it simply applied her own species to the product. It currently is in the Alpha stage, with Katrina posting updates to it on [http://github.com/KatrinaTheLamia github] sporadically.

Once into the release cycle, Lamia will base its major releases on various species of snakes, such as milk, corn, coral, etc.. With minor release being code named after various subspecies of these snakes. With the mascot of the product reflecting that species. Making it amongst the rare ranks of web browsers with a cartoon funny animal mascot. Currently holding FireFox/Firebird, Lynx and Arachnid.

Lamia's main goals is to go beyond the web browser market and move into also adding newsgroup, twitter, facebook, youtube (via frame buffered mplayer), irc, and other support via its interface that from the start is designed to be highly moddable.

Other goals of Lamia are to try to have it be decently commented and try to have the source follow something similar to Python's PEP-8 standard. As well as allowing the ability to turn off parts of Lamia to keep them from loading. Lamia also plans to have the option to optionally load in the JVM, Parrot, Mono or SAGE Miss System Virtual Machines. Since it is modular as its base design, this does not imply bloat.

==== RPG Source Books ====

Katrina in her goals with NIMH Labs desires to present various elements of graphic design, marketing and programming into her page. In amongst a few psychological elements. Taking advice from a few of the people on [[Rant Radio]] she had also plans to employ the use of using various [[ttRPG]] systems to demonstrate one's skills in real life, as well as promote problem solving skills presented in many [[ttRPG]]s

Typically in how she presents the Source Books, it will be for material that is out dated, public domain or for other reasons, hard to purchase a decent copy of the information presented. Katrina also plans to present and publish a few fan made source books as well, as various esoteric or legacy source books.

Complimenting this, she also will present a few charts on current game data, such as Pokemon, Megaman: Net Battle and other games with fairly developed metagame systems.

She has given various names to various game engines over the years. None have gone anywhere. These typically are for sprite based games.

==== Comics and Games ====

She has had a few ideas for comics and games on her site, the only ones that have stuck around for a decent amount of time:

* Planetary Defense Squadron (a furry comic)
* W!PE (an Anime parody)

=== Elissa's House of Burlesque ===

Elissa's House of Burlesque was a website that created after Katrina got confused by her hosting's ToS. Elissa's House was a site set up by the hosts of the Futanari Palace, to host the artwork that Katrina drew. They were generally very crude and poorly drawn. Included both pornographical works she did and clean stuff. Include various pictures that included anthropomorphic animals, robot guro and bestiality in the porn section. The clean section had mostly anthropomorphic animals and characters from various works she was playing with.

None of the works had any polish to them, and were crude--not really that decent as far as furry art goes.

She did them mostly for the lulz involved in doing them. As she does not understand why drawing something fucked implies getting off on anything in the picture. She generally regards the follow as challenges: Rules 34 (there is porn of it), 35 (if not, it will be made), 37 (if you post it, somebody will get off on it), 46 (there is yiff of it) and 63 (canonical gender means nothing. Particularly the challenge on Rule 37.

She is currently having scanner issues, which when fully addressed, she will take on her challenge on Rule 37 in full force. To create a piece of thoroughly unfappable high quality porn.

== Therian Status ==

Katrina generally regards her mental state, most of the time as Lamia. Generally noting that she can S-shift into other forms (usually an [[Wikipedia:Eris_(spider)|Eris Spider]] [[Wikipedia:Drider|Drider]], Dayglo Purple Goo Girl, Bee Girl, Nine Tailed [[Wikipedia:Kitsune|Kitsune]] and a few other states)... however she notes in doing so, it has a nasty side effect of having herself M-Shift into that state as well. Usually with mixed results, that switch between lusting after whatever is closest (the Goo Girl), or just hunting for "food" (the Dryder).

Katrina has always known she is a fur of some sort. Not really understanding what it is like to not be a furry in her mind. Not really needing to outwardly express this furriness all that often. Just having it exude from her, regardless of her day to day life.

It seems that her S-Shifting will cause side effects on various electronic devices--having issues keeping electronics stay in an intact state. Mostly because she has no other way to explain it. Just note, that whatever it is, if not that, generally results in having to budget a new computer ever June like clockwork.

== Otherkin Status ==

Katrina refers to herself as "the self proclaimed daughter of [[Wikipedia:Eris_(mythology)|Eris]]". As well as a servant of [[Wikipedia:Inari_(mythology)|Inari]]. Not really stating who the father is--and generally stating that she is an odd amagolation of [[Hysimnia]] and [[Makhai]].

Noting that every other religion out there has a messiah figure--citing [[Wikipedia:Horas|Horas]], Marduk, [[Wikipedia:Jesus|Jesus]], [[Wikipedia:Kristna|Krishna]] (refering to him as the East Indian chap she cannot ever remember the name of), and [[Wikipedia:Mithras|Mithras]]--[[Wikipedia:Discordianism|Discordia]] really needs their own Messiah type figure. She states that her qualifications as "Daughter of Eris" are that she is the only one insane enough to take up the role. I mean--you'd have to be crazy to go around calling yourself the Messiah of any deity, much less than the Messiah of Eris.

She also makes odd claims about being a representative of Temporal Matters. Noting that Eris is the correct leader of Temporal Matters (hence why most people find time travel plots screwed up--it was Eris), as Eris has pulled off the Grandmother Effect as she technically is her own grandmother. Catalina is to take over from Eris over the next century.

It should be noted as a Discordian when regarding her otherkin status, you should hold tight onto that fifth pentabarf.
