The Den is a furry sharehouse in Carindale - Brisbane, Australia. Its occupants are Moreth, MistyStriker, Dimruthien VerenLaulaja and Bingo Dingo.

History
The Den has been in existence since April 26, 2005, when Jaffa Ferel, MistyStriker, and Dimenianz moved in. In August, 2005, Dimenianz moved out and approximately a week later Dimruthien VerenLaulaja moved to Brisbane from Darwin, Australia. In January 2006, Bingo Dingo also came to call The Den his permanent home. In September 2006, after financial dramas, Jaffa Ferel moved out and relocated to Adelaide, Australia. Moreth was looking for a place, so he decided to make The Den his haunt and rental balance was restored.
.
Social facts
Occupants of The Den usually find themselves in the company of Nikita Wolfpaw, Foxy Malone, FlameDrake and Milesway on Tuesdays for Coffee Night, while on Thursdays the female Denizens join The Cave and Nikita Wolfpaw for bowling.

People who have invaded the house and stayed a week or more include Hammond, PsychoSmiley, Tursiae and Moreth, who liked it so much he never left.

Quirks
* The toilet is in the living room.
* Despite the fact that The Asylum is more appropriately named for this quirk, The Den has bars on each window.
* Current pets are 5 rats (Soap, Clarice, Anniba, Mischa and Pidgeon) and a now extinct tank of seamonkies which are now strewn all over Moreth's desk.
* The Den hosts three different sofas, two of which reside on the balcony with the extra fridge that currently has a thriving population of sentient mould.
* There have been claims of the doorbell being haunted, as it goes off with nobody at the front door to ring it, sometimes even at 2am.
* Despite the ever-growing DVD collection, The Den is more overrun by books than anything else. Topics range from fantasy, to crime, to gaming, with a large section devoted to art and drawing of course. There are piles of books on the floor, the kitchen table, the kitchen benches, as well as the single bookshelf in the house.
* Household computers are named Wasp (Moreth), Lucy (Dimmie), Serenity (Misty's laptop used by Bingo), and Lycanthrope (Misty). There are also approximately 4 other computers that are either half built, retired or just plain dont work. There are also computer bits in various stashes throughout the house, the largest of which resides in Dimmie's room.
* As with any real furry gathering, the Denizens and their guests usually congregate in doorways or the hallway for conversations, sometimes even sitting on the floor in the hallway where the three bedroom doors and the bathroom door meet to carry out a conversation.
* On the sidewalk in front of the house next door 'This way to the Den' is carved into the concrete. In front of the actual Den, part of the sidewalk has the Denizen's names carved into the concrete, as well as 'Furry Pride', 'DV *heart* PS' and a pawprint.
* The Denizens are stars in a documentary made by university students about furries. The documentary is called The Velvet Underground.
* Various members of The Den are also in a furry season of Sin Cities, which is released in the UK later this year.
* Jokingly the house is also known as McDen due to the fact that 3 of its 4 members are McDonald's Restaurant employees.
