The Furry Wrestling Alliance, or FWA, is a roleplaying group similar to real-world wrestling and shootfighting promotions that has a primary focus on wrestling. It was formed in March 2005 by Tony Greyfox.

The FWA is set in a converted warehouse in Vancouver, Canada.

Concept
Formed in the wake of issues arising in other furry cyber-wrestling roleplay groups, the FWA is designed to be an open and non-confrontational organization where players take part in matches of various kinds - mostly public, but occasionally with adult content - with a focus on entertainment, rather than competition. The intention is to build fun and entertaining storylines between characters, instead of confrontational issues that often get in the way of the fun value.

New members are asked to sign in at the Yahoo! group and submit a biography of their proposed character for moderators to evaluate; this is to ensure a high level of characterization and roleplay abilities. Once approved, the players are provided access to the IRC channels and encouraged to join the activity there.

Rivalries
Richard D. Fox and Sage Freehaven
*In mid-2005, not long after the formation of the FWA, Sage Freehaven lost a match (which, at the time, was a regular occurence for him). When Richard D. Fox called him out on his losing streak, Sage snapped and challenged him to a Loser Leaves match (the loser of the match would, obviously, have to leave the FWA). Two weeks later, the match took place -- and while special guest referee Qaianna Illespont was distracted, Richard hit Sage with a pair of brass knuckles, allowing him to execute a DDT and pin Sage without a fight. Humiliated and disgusted, Sage left the FWA the next day. However, after a year of traveling (including time abroad in Japan), Sage returned to the FWA to gain revenge on both Richard and Qaianna. His return was marked with an impromptu match with Qaianna, who promptly flattened him in a few minutes. This, however, would lead into Sage eventually (and somewhat begrudgingly) being welcomed back into the FWA. A couple of months after Sage's return, he would claim the Hardcore Belt as his own, and this led into yet another impromptu match with Qaianna -- this time, Sage emerged victorious after hitting Qaianna with a Van Daminator. But the next week, Richard managed to steal the belt from under the overconfident Sage's nose; when he started a broadcast that would see him deface the belt with a sledgehammer, fire, and his own urine, Richard set off a pyrotechnics blast while Sage was on the stage near the FWA's video monitor. Although he later recovered the belt, Sage would be left with temporarily damaged hearing and a hatred for very loud noises. So far since his return, Sage has yet to face Richard in the ring again.
