A ponysona or pony OC, is fan-created, usually by a brony or furry brony, pony character based on the animated characters from Hasbro's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV show.fact

Design and look
Although the ponysona's basic character design is based on the main species' look and feel from the show, ponysonas are not subject to canon, and can be designed or customized in all manners possible such as furries' fursonas. Ponysonas usually vary in base type, either being a pegasus, unicorn, earth pony, crystal pony, bat pony or alicorns or rarelly dragons like Spike the dragon or changelings like Queen Chrysalis, even really rarelly buny but based on Angel bunny design.

Ponysonas can be written or media created characters, such as with the Pony Creator, a flash game by Generalzoi, hosted on DeviantART.

Ponysonas and furry
If the brony is also furry, their ponysona may represent/be their main fursona as well.

201.189.184.96: /* Outdated or need improvenments */

I added some references, will it be enough? If not, please, mark the sentences that need to be referenced, I'm sure I can find proper sources.

Also, "baby [dragon Spike]" links to babyfur. I think "baby" and "babyfur" is not the same, and if it is - there should be a redirect. EvilCat 03:08, 13 August 2011 (EDT)

:Aaand the "unreferenced" is for?,... - Spirou 06:09, 13 August 2011 (EDT)

::The page requires work with citations. I'll do that later when I'm not so exhausted. --98.95.112.33 21:19, 13 August 2011 (EDT)

Restoring Brony article
I think the brony section could stand as its own article. As it stands it was merged into this article without much discussion, with another user later commenting that it could stand on its own. WikiFur has plenty of term-stub articles, and as its own article this would be longer than many of them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Equivamp (talk • contribs) 12:47, 10 April 2012 .
: I'm in support of splitting it off as a separate article. At least once the section of this article is more substantial. 18:09, 26 April 2012 (EDT)}}
