Anthro New Mexico
Anthro New Mexico is an upcoming annual all-ages American furry convention.

Overview
Anthro New Mexico can trace its origins to an impromptu fursuit photoshoot hosted by three Albuquerque locals: Tetris, Victor Mutt, and Calamity Fox.

The photoshoot spawned the ABQ Fursuit Group, and a series of bi-weekly furmeets in the Albuquerque area. Within one month, the Telegram group for the ABQ Fursuit Group grew to 80 members, which inspired Tetris, Victor Mutt, and Calamity Fox to begin organizing this event, which would be both Albuquerque's and the state of New Mexico's first-ever furry convention.

All three would go on to become the convention's president, vice president, and secretary, respectively.

Incorporation
Anthro Southwest was incorporated as a 501(c)(7), overseeing the organization and logistics of Anthro New Mexico.

Board of Directors
The current structure is Tetris as president, with Mika Blueshift as secretary. As of May 2025, Victor Mutt and Calamity Fox stepped away from the organization after disagreements with Tetris's running of the event.cn
