Fursuit making

Fursuits can be made out of many different materials, though most incorporate fake fur, foam, felt and varying types of plastic. Several factors can be customized during the construction process, including:

* what types and colours of fur will be used
* the space that the wearer is able to see from (mouth, eyes, neck, etc.)
* whether or not the suit contains padding
* whether or not there will be animated features (wagging tails, "follow me" eyes, etc.)
* any designs, patterns or shading (airbrushing) in the fur itself, and
* whether or not any makeup will be used.

Head
The head is the most detailed feature of a fursuit, and is usually the most complicated because it must easily display what type of animal or creature it is; it also has the task of setting an expressional context for the character, whether it is predominately happy, angry, etc. Several methods exist for creating a fursuit head. The most prominent methods use include:

* strips of plastic canvas are sewn together, and fur and foam is attached to the outside
* a block of foam is carved into the desired shape, and fur is glued to the outside of the foam, and
* fiberglass is molded into the desired shape, and fur is attached to the outside.
* using a balaclava or other sort of ski mask as a base and building around that.

Heads can range anywhere from being extremely simplistic (one colour, a sewn-in smile) to elaborate (a moving jaw, "follow-me eyes" that appear to move, hair, facial markings, etc.) Some characters have closed mouths while others are open. The facial expression of the character can range anywhere from toony to realistic, and from inviting to frightening. Some fursuiters, notably Timduru, own two or more heads to sport a different expression in varying locations and circumstances.

Many heads include discrete openings in the mouth or nose to allow the flow of fresh air. Some suits contain battery-powered cooling fans alongside the openings, either to draw air in or pull hot air out. Sometimes a balaclava or headband is used inside to separate the wearer from the head, to hide the wearer's face and to absorb sweat.

Some fursuiters opt to wear a mask and/or makeup instead of a full head.

The head is usually removed when in the headless lounge, so that the wearer can interact with other fursuiters and consume refreshments (typically large amounts of water). It is not usually removed in public, and it is considered taboo to take a photograph of a fursuiter with their face visible.

Eyes and sight
Depending on the style of the costume, the wearer is able to see through the eyes, nose or mouth of the head; in some cases, the wearer sees through the tear ducts, the neck or a camouflaged space below the eyes — the location of the character's eyeballs and the opening that the wearer sees out of don't necessarily have to be in the same place.

A character's eyes can be made out of plastic globes or bowls (usually cut to size) or taxidermy eyes. So-called 3D or follow-me eyes can be constructed so that the character always appears to be watching the viewer, although some find this effect disconcerting and prefer 2D or flat eyes. The opening for the wearer to see from can be made out of plastic or aluminum mesh, plastic canvas or sheer fabrics such as nylon or chiffon. Some furries prefer to use their own eyes as the character's eyes, as it allows for added expression and makes the character seem more realistic. In these cases, the inside of the fursuit head's face is worn almost directly against the performer's face.

Body
The bodysuit is the full body of the character and includes the arms, legs, neck and tail. Bodysuits range from loose jumpsuits to form-fitting and/or padded costumes. A standard bodysuit pattern from a catalog can be used, and this basic pattern is usually altered to meet any required modifications, including all size and shape concerns. Many fursuit builders use dressmaker forms or DIY duct tape dummies to build their costumes to ensure a snug fit.

Bodysuits also carry a great amount of detail. Most include a simple light patch down the middle of the torso to represent a cartoon-like stomach area. Various suits have detailed patterns added, either by sewing in different coloured/textured fur or by the use of airbrushing (for example, the stripes of a tiger.) Varying lengths of fur can be used, including shorter fur for the stomach.

A character's shape can be reinforced through the use of padding. Simple padding, such as foam inserts, can lightly define or highlight certain areas. Canid suits often employ padding in the legs to create the natural digitigrade shape of the animal. For large or muscled characters, large inserts or a special undersuit known as a muscle suit or bodypod are worn underneath to give the character the needed girth. Some fursuiters portray characters opposite of their natural gender and incorporate the necessary padding into their design.

Most bodysuits include a zipper closure in the back, which is camouflaged by either snaps or velcro concealed under a section of overlapping fur. Several suits have a front closure instead of one in the back. The issue of what to wear under a bodysuit varies from person to person. Some wear a lycra dive skin or unitard. Some wear their street clothes, and some wear nothing at all.

Extremities
Tail
Simple tails can be thought of as a fabric tube, with the ends sewn up. Sometimes, lengths of delrin rod, foam, wire, or plastic pipe are used to give a tail its desired shape. The tail is usually attached to the bodysuit, though in some cases, the tail is attached to a loop of fabric that runs through a belt and the tail protrudes through a hole in the back of the bodysuit.

In the case of larger tails, such as skunk or squirrel tails, fur is usually secured to a large plastic or aluminum support structure, which is in turn attached via a hole in the back of the suit to a harness worn by the performer to take the weight of the tail off of the performer's back; this harness is also worn under the clothing or costume of a partial suit.

Hand paws
Handpaws (or hands) are usually created from two pieces of fabric, traced from the wearer's hand, and sewn together. More complex patterns can also be used, including varying colours and fabrics (fur, felt, etc.) Some fursuit makers add small pawpads to each digit and to the palm to add more realism to the paws; some lightly stuff the pawpads for extra realism. A few fursuits have even been made with slits in the underside of the tips of the digits, allowing for more dexterity without actually removing the paws, while allowing the fursuiter to retain the appearance of full paws. Claws can be made from plastic, leather, resin (most for replica claws such as for bears or birds) and clay. You can also make them, out of sculptor or Fimo. Or you can buy them from www.greyowlcrafts.com/

Feet paws
Feetpaws are the most durable part of the fursuit, as they constantly come in contact with abrasive and dirty surfaces such as concrete and tile flooring and they must put up with a lot of wear and tear and the weight of the performer. Some fursuiters build Feetpaws specific to their character, while some wear regular shoes, oversized cartoon shoes or spats (fabric slips that cover regular shoes.)

Most Feetpaws are made by attaching foam to store-bought shoes or slippers and furring them. Some fursuit makers build the hindpaws from scratch. The solepads, in this case, can be made of leather or rubber. A variant popular among members of the Free paws community — who prefer going barefoot — are Feetpaws that only cover the top of the feet, leaving the wearer's soles bare.

Even more difficult are digitigrade Feetpaws; either simulated, with fake ankle joints made of foam on the back of the legs, or with a structure supporting a digitigrade position (then however, it becomes difficult to put on the fursuit or to wear it for an extended time). Some constructions for hooves use this approach.

Maintenance
[[File:LA Garment District (Photo).png|right|300px|thumb|Cloth and synthetic furs for construction and repairs can be found at such locations as the Los Angeles Garment District.]]
Some fursuiters spray their costumes with Febreeze, Endbac, Lysol, or a generic antibacterial spray after each use. Usually fursuiters select a product that will kill bacteria, rather than just mask odors. During storage, the fursuiter may keep it stored with a fabric softener sheet, or a box of baking soda like the ones used in a fridge or freezer.

The fursuit is regularly brushed. Fursuiters usually try to brush the fur in such a way that it doesn't pull on the fur backing, as not to weaken it.

When it comes time to wash the suit, fursuiters consider each part individually. If foam is soaked in water, it may not dry quickly enough and start to grow bacteria or fungus before it does. Airbrushed patterns may fade if washed. Glue used to hold parts of the suit together may weaken if washed. Leather is usually not advisable to soak in water. If the suit has any electronics, those may be damaged by water. If wire or plastic canvas gives part of the suit its shape, it may not be advisable to soak that part, or at least not to machine-wash it.

The parts that will not be washed can usually be wiped with a damp cloth. Stains may be removable with a product like Bubble Gund.

The parts that will be washed can either be machine washed or hand-washed. Usually the fursuit is turned inside-out and zipped up to avoid extra stress to the fur. No heat is used during the process as this can shrivel the fur. For detergent some will use a regular laundry detergent, while some may use a special detergent like Woolite. Putting undiluted detergent directly onto the fur may cause fading, so fursuiters try to avoid this except for treating stains. For machine-washing, the fursuiter chooses one of the more delicate cycles. For hand-washing, the fursuiter tries not to stretch the backing, and not to squeeze the fur into an alignment other than its natural lying flat state.

After the suit is washed, it is then dried. The fursuiter may fluff it up in the dryer in an air-only cycle. No heat is used in any step. Usually the fursuiter does not dry it completely, but takes it out and brushes it periodically until it is completely dry. Since waterlogged fur is heavy, the fursuiter may go to some lengths to lay it out flat while drying, so it doesn't stretch from the extra weight. Fans may be used to accelerate the drying process.

Fursuiters are divided over whether dry cleaning is advisable for fursuits. Since dry-cleaners can choose from many different methods and settings, and there are many types of fur, it is likely that one answer does not apply to all situations.

First discovered in the Hubei province in China, the disease has spread globally since 2019, resulting in the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, declared by the World Health Organization in March 2020. Common symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Muscle pain, sputum production and sore throat are less common symptoms. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, some progress to pneumonia and multi-organ failure. The deaths per the number of diagnosed cases is estimated at between 1% and 5% but varies by age and other health conditions.

Cause and diagnosis
The infection is spread from one person to others via respiratory droplets, often produced during coughing and sneezing. Time from exposure to onset of symptoms is generally between two and fourteen days, with an average of five days. The standard method of diagnosis is by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) from a nasopharyngeal swab or throat swab. The infection can also be diagnosed from a combination of symptoms, risk factors, and a chest CT scan showing features of pneumonia.

Prevention and management
Recommended measures to prevent the disease include frequent hand washing, maintaining distance from other people and not touching one's face. The use of masks is recommended for those who suspect they have the virus and their caregivers but not the general public.
Zareth (real name Jack Eldar, born 1982,) is a furry fan who lives in Dallas, Texas, USA, with his husband Mike Carter (Radiko).

Biography
Zareth is a huge fan of firearms and guns, such as a .45 Glock handgun, an M16 rifle, an M40 sniper rifle given to him by the military, clarify a .45 Smith & Wesson revolver and a Remington hunting rifle.

Hunting
Zareth is a hunter, but he doesn't do it for the sake of killing something, it's, in fact, an old family tradition; when a boy becomes 15, he has to go into the woods armed with supplies, a compass, radio, and rifle with ammo and hunt a caribou to gather the skins and meat to prepare for a large feast.

Once the boy does this, he returns home for a large caribou feast, caribou stew, and many other dishes. This experience and further like it has provided Zareth with valuable experience in fieldcraft, ranging, survival, and independence.

Fandom involvement
Zareth is an active participant on the Yiffstar forums, where he caused the "September 19th" incident, clarifycn which involved a friend fulfilling a request that his real job be posted on the forums; Jack had been "gunned down".clarifycn

Zareth loves to roleplay and is usually up for a good roleplay when he's in the mood, he's usually descriptive and is open about what he likes and doesn't like to do in a roleplay.

Fursona
Zareth Eldar is his fursona, a black panther with pure black fur and hair, and emerald eyes. He has a long scar on his chest from a knife battle many years ago. Jack got his fursona's name with the help of Kaylin (Rahne) on Yiffstar.

Dolphins are certain aquatic mammals related to whales and porpoises (all of which are sometimes called "cetaceans"). They are social animals, living in pods, where the animals can establish strong bonds between each other.

Dolphins are widely believed to be amongst the most intelligent of all animals. A typical statement is that dolphins are roughly as intelligent as a two-year-old human.

The most commonly known species of dolphin is the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin, made popular in part by the TV series "Flipper", and by marine parks around the world that display the animals.

There are almost 40 different species of dolphin in total, ranging in size from the 4 foot long tucuxi, to the killer whale, which is actually the largest member of the dolphin family Delphinidae. Porpoises, while closely related, are in a different genus.

Dolphins and furry
Unreferenced-section

Dolphins of any species are among the more uncommon animals chosen for characters in the furry community. They are perceived as an animal entirely without hair, causing many to argue that they don't fit into the "furry" description when the term is taken too literally. However, this is biologically incorrect, or at least imprecise, as dolphins evolved from a wolf like ancestor that used to roam the land and was furry. Also, like all mammals, dolphins in fact do have hair. Before birth, they grow a number of hair follicles on their rostrum (beak) which they usually loose shortly before or after birth. Dark spots remain where the hairs once were. The Boto river dolphin is the only known species to retain these hairs.

Some people will opt to play a dolphin character as a standard non-anthro dolphin, often with the premise of being isolated to water environments, or possibly able to float through the air by means of magic or technology. Jaidara constructed a bio-mechanical dolphin fursuit for his character Wishy, showing a non-anthro dolphin contained within a mechanical body with legs and arms, able to walk on land.

Others will play their characters as anthro dolphins with legs and arms. Style of the characters tends to be a humanoid form with dolphin-like head, a dorsal fin extending from the middle of the back, and a tail with dolphin tail-flukes on the end. Notable anthro dolphin fursuits include Calafin, Aphinity, and Mineau.

Phin
Colloquial diminutive of dolphin (‘phin), most often used to describe the smaller members of the Odontocetes. The term is non-derogatory, and is often used by an individual, with such a fursona, to describe him/herself in the furry world.

An anthropomorphic Phin will typically have humanoid hands and feet, but with face and tale of the animal from which its form is borrowed. A blowhole can be located on the top of the head. The creature's powerful tail can propel him/her through the water, making Phins excellent swimmers.

Rukis Croax is the creator, writer and illustrator of the Cruelty comic and its sequel Unconditional, and the co-creator, writer and co-illustrator of the Red Lantern comic.

Rukis' first comic, Cruelty, was published by FurPlanet, and debuted at Anthrocon 2010. At 44 pages, Rukis considered this a "practice comic". However, it sold out within the first day of the convention, and Rukis went on to create a sequel (Unconditional).

In 2009 she started Red Lantern. The second volume of the comic, which is planned to be made in four volumes, is currently in writing and is released on Fur Affinity before its printed release which will include sex scenes. The first volume was co-drawn by Alector Fencer, however, she was replaced by Myenia since 2012.

Rukis and Myenia also made a 24-page comic entitled Strong, done in 48 hours only (24 for each) as a challenge.

Other artwork
In March, 2014, Rukis' adult anthropomorphic art folio Instinct was published by FurPlanet.

Literature
Published by Furplanet, Rukis released her first novel titled Heretic in 2013. The book follows Captain Luther, detailing events in the Red Lantern world preceding the first comic volume.

In 2014, Furplanet released her second novel in the Red Lantern world, titled Off the Beaten Path. Due to the length of the story, it was divided into three books (Off the Beaten Path, Lost On Dark Trails, The Long Road Home). This book follows female leopard protagonist Shivah traveling alongside her two male companions (who are close to one another) Ransom and Puquanah.

The third novel set in the Red Lantern world, Legacy was released in 2017, divided into two books (Dusk, Dawn). The book is set before the time of all previous books, twenty years prior to Red Lantern, telling the story of Kadar, father of Amon, the protagonist in the Red Lantern comic series.

COVID-19

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

As of early 2020, there is no vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for COVID-19; management involves treatment of symptoms, supportive care and experimental measures.

Fur Affinity
Dragoneer is the owner of Ferrox Art, LLC, which operated Fur Affinity from 2007 to 2015. Dragoneer joined the site in 2005 roughly two months before its untimely demise. Having fallen in love with the community, he worked with then-owner Alkora to help bring the site back online. He was appointed lead admin upon the site's return and eventually went on to take full ownership of Fur Affinity in October 2007, and necrophilia with animals, and videos which are claimed to be Kero committing such acts.

Kero disputed the claims on the grounds that several of the features of those in the videos do not match Kero, however, the user IDs of the Telegram chat logs appear to match those of Kero's real account, which include pictures of Kero in sexual situations with his dog, and a dead fox supposedly found on the road.. Kero variously claimed that his account was hacked, or that the logs were faked, though the latter is not technically possible since the logs have been forwarded through Telegram's own back-end server information. It is speculated that Kero used a proxy IP address via VPN to fake this screenshot.

On September 28, 2018, Kothorix uploaded a YouTube video claiming that he personally confronted Kero, with who he had previously conversed, about the veracity of the logs. In the video, Kothorix claims that Kero admitted to him that the logs were real, and that "he does have an interest in some aspects of zoophilia."(timestamp 7:58) He went on to say the Kero denied engaging in any actual, physical animal sex acts, which directly conflicts with the now confirmed information in the chat logs.

Kero repeats this claim in a video interview with Ashley Zoe Fox, uploaded the same day, saying, "I have never had sex with any animals." In this second video, Kero reiterates his assertion that his Telegram account was hacked, adding that he later lost control of the account due to this and that a previous screenshot he had posted of an account he still had access to was fake, "found on the Internet." He claimed the logs were only "five percent" true. He said that he had, in fact, joined a chat group for feral artwork, through which he befriended Nelizar/Snake-Thing, another individual implicated in the logs who was later arrested in real life and that he ultimately stopped speaking with this individual because he was made "uncomfortable". Despite the contradictions between Kothorix's video and Ashley's, Kero retweeted a link to Kothorix's video and called it accurate.cn

Aftermath
Along with other peoplewho identified in the chat logs, the evidence against Kero was submitted to the authorities. In a tweet thread posted on November 8, 2018, Kero revealed he was under police investigation, stating that he is taking the situation seriously and apologizing for causing the furry fandom "trouble"

On January 30, 2019, Kero put out a tweet after a two-month absence in which he stated that he's leaving the fandom, citing "toxic mindsets" and "witch hunts" against members of the community.

Around June 2019, Kero sold his third fursuit to a fan of his by the name of Diamond Dwolf, who said they would wear it at Anthrocon 2019. It is unknown if they went through with their decision or not. The fate of his other two fursuits are currently unknown although it's likely Kero still possesses them.

During Anthrocon 2019, it was reported that Kero was in attendance, leading to speculation that the sale of his fursuit was a ruse so that Kero himself could walk around in it. At that same convention, it was discovered that someone was going around wearing Kero's second fursuit. On July 20, 2019, LordOcelet, a nonfurry who is friends with Kero in real-life uploaded a video that confirmed that it was him in Kero's fursuit. According to Ashley Zoe Fox who also attended the con, it was done as a "social experiment" to see if furries there would care or not.

Character sheet

2020-04-15T08:16:00Z

172.90.88.38: Undo revision 524591 by 2409:4063:4285:9867:88D3:1E44:79D7:B401 (talk)

copyedit
:"Refsheet" redirects here. You may be looking for Refsheet.net.

A character sheet, also known as a char sheet, reference sheet, refsheet, or model sheet, is an important reference artifact in furry fandom, as the primary means for fans to describe their roleplaying character(s) and/or fursona quickly and easily to others, without needing to repeat detailed explanations multiple times over.

A good reference sheet can cut down on communications issues with fans and artists when commissioning work.

Some furries use the term to refer to written references or simple reference pictures of their characters, while a model sheet specifically refers to a more detailed visual description of a character, drawn and/or CG, or as Maquettes/Sculpts.

Character sheets in mainstream
Character sheets are common to nearly all published ('table-top' or 'paper-and-pencil') roleplaying games (e.g., Dungeons & Dragons, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, GURPS, Ironclaw), to record vital information about a primary character being played and portrayed by a player. Mostly, this information is specific to the published game in question, but also includes name biographical information, possessions, and sometimes a character sketch.

In animation, cartooning and graphic design, model sheets and character sheets are basically two variations of the same term, and both are used to refer specifically to the more graphical descriptions of various characters.

Written reference
Furry character sheets typically include the user/character's name, age, species, gender, height, weight, appearance, personality, and traits.

Some have more detailed information added, including sexuality, nicknames, martial status, fetishes, items, and biography, and a snapshot or image of the character.

Example
*Name: Peter Wolfowitz
*Age: 23
*Species: Wolf
*Gender: Male
*Height: 6'0
*Weight: 120 lbs.
*Appearance: A slender anthropomorphic wolf with black fur and acid-yellow eyes
*Personality: Calm and collected
*Traits: Skilled in the making of arts and crafts

Character model sheet
A character model sheet, also known simply as a model sheet, is a graphical version of the "character sheet".

Although not a term with its origins in the furry fandom (having being first conceived and used in mainstream animation,) it's often used by furry artists and fans to graphically describe a character, fursonas, or even fursuits.

It displays a specific turnaround view and look on the particular features of a character, such as head and body shape, hair and tail length and style, size and position of the eyes, mouth, ears, fur patterns and design, etc.

Color callouts and character descriptions may be added to / accompany the model sheet.

Raccoon Toons (known as Matt & Michael in its early days) is a furry webcomic by Matthew Taylor. It centres on a human (Matt), and two anthropomorphic raccoons (Michael and Wendy). While originally only a webcomic, Taylor eventually produced a series of short videos, starring himself as himself, his sister as the voice of Wendy Raccoon, and Michael Raccoon as Michael Raccoon.

Expanded Universe
In 2019, edits of Raccoon Toons began popping up, expanding the canon of Raccoon Toons, and recontextualizing prior entries. These newer entries portray Wendy Raccoon as a trans icon and try to explain more problematic elements of earlier entries.

Trivia
-There is an implied sex scene in one of the entries. However this scene is controversial, and some have argued that nothing happened since Taylor is a Mormon and wouldn't allow premarital sex in his comics. Others, however, refute this claim, on account of the fact that he created this webcomic

-Michael Raccoon Commits Tax Fraud

-They all were canonically at the birth of Christ

-Michael Raccoon runs for president in the short "Politics", and in one issue Michael claims that he is "above the law". This has led some to imagine Michael being impeached.

}}
VeeBooru is a furry image board, art archives and communities in the style of e621, Furpiled.com, and other Danbooru-based boards.

History
Wildcritters.net was created on December 3, 2010 as WildCritters.net, a split of the WildCritters imageboard, by members of the site who were disgruntled with the decision of its leadership to significantly widen the criteria of permitted works.

In March 2013 the site went down for maintenance, but the main page displayed the word "Goodbye"fact (as of March 19, 2013, the phrase "Fixing things up for improvement, might be a bit, but we will be back!" was displayed).

On April 20th 2014, the site was relaunched under its new name at the domain veebooru.com and re-branded as Veebooru.

Theme
VeeBooru specializes in cute chibi, cub, and/or feral furry art, typically of the Japanese style furry art (Kemono) nature. Characters with body types that fall into most of the aforementioned categories are referred to as critters, however the website owners are looking for a nicer term in order to differentiate from the previous website.

Art featuring exclusively adult humans, anthros, taurs, and characters with body types/shapes not considered "critter" are not typically permitted.fact

Development
While the site itself doesn't have nearly the amount of users before (and may be considered dead at this point), a couple of old users from the previous community put a heavy emphasis on imageboard web engine development. After scrapping the Ruby on Rails Engine that the previous Wildcritters.net used to run, due to the fact the previous owner disappeared and stopped paying for the server; Assimi, Elite and some others in between took it upon themselves to attempt programming an entire web imageboard from scratch based on previous planning made in the past. In its alpha stages this PHP web engine took up the name Drakon. After much thought and effort however, the idea of building from the ground up was proven too burdening of a task, so instead a very early version of Gelbooru was used as a base for the new engine and 95% of its code was replaced for custom and new functionality.

Site stagnation
Development of this engine has completely halted due to lack of interest, as well as a stagnated userbase. After the previous owner disappeared and Veebooru was created, all content from the previous site was imported. Due to the development taking a year, more than half of the users left and found other communities, which caused the whole project to be about bringing the old features back to the community and hoping users would come back. Instead, the community did not regain the old users and kept the same few users posting for years. All development was halted due to none of the team being interested in working on the engine anymore, which stemmed from not having any frontend developers. Near the end of 2019, one of the original founders Asda passed away and as a tribute, the old version of wildcritters.net from years ago was put back up for a few months. As of 2020, both sites are no longer operational.

Engine source code release
As a result of site stagnation, the code that runs the website has now been released on Github and is freely available to anyone wishing to extend the project. This same engine currently powers the WildCritters website as well.

Kemono (Japanese 獣, ケモノ, or けもの "beast") is a genre of Japanese art and character design that prominently features fictional anthropomorphic animal characters in human-like settings and situations. It is used widely in drawing, painting, manga, anime, and video game designs, many of which are popular in the rest of the world. Human-like animal characters are called Jūjin (Japanese 獣人 or じゅうじん "Beastman, or less literally, therianthrope").

The style combines popular character design with animal traits deemed cute and endearing. It can be largely agreed upon by the fandom that the kemono style lies in the face and the eyes. (Examples include smaller snouts and big anime eyes.) Kemono characters can also have varying fur textures, example (fur with a pronounced, "fluffy", texture.) The Kemono style is not just "Moe" though and it can come from a variety of anime styles.

Most kemono character designs retain a fundamentally human personality, seldom acting like the real animals after which they are designed. As such, kemono are usually shown living the way normal humans live in the same setting: speaking a normal language, wearing normal clothes, eating normal food, living in normal homes, in ways that blur their distinction from ordinary humans. Although this can vary from creator to creator. It highly depends on the creator and the character.

Currently, kemono art is often distributed through Japanese fanzine circles, "doujinshi." Fans of kemono are called kemona or kemoners (ケモナー kemonā), from kemono and English -er; this had once been controversial.

There is also kemono which depicts young animals, much like cub art: kemololi (female cub) / kemoshota (male cub).

In Japanese art, some anthropomorphic characters appeared since ancient times. For example, in the most famous Emaki-mono (絵巻物, horizontal-illustrated narrative) art Choju Jinbutsu Giga (鳥獣人物戯画) drawn in the 12/13th Century, is sometimes regarded as the roots of the whole Japanese manga, the animal like rabbit and monkey is drawn as if they were human. Some people also point out some Ukiyo-e artists, especially Kuniyoshi Utagawa (歌川国芳, 1797-1861), having drawn some pictures including anthropomorphic characters in the middle of the 19th century. But it is difficult to define the cultural roots of today's kemono art.

Although it is as same as the works even in modern times, However, there is a fact that, Japanese animators and manga artists used to imitate American cartoons like Disney and its animal characters. For example, in "Norakuro (のらくろ)", one of the most famous manga in pre-war Japan, almost all characters were anthropomorphic dogs and the influence of Felix the Cat was clear. Meanwhile, in the post-war era Osamu Tezuka (手塚治虫), considered the father of modern manga, and also being a fan of Disney, launched his own animation company Mushi Production and in 1965 released the animation Kimba the White Lion (the original title: Jungle Taitei, ジャングル大帝) in which main characters were zoomorphic.
Apart from the influence of Disney and American cartoons, the art by an animator Yasuji Mori (森やすじ, 1925-1992) was remarkable in the terms of Japanese original "Kemono" art style. Just after the WWII, he decided to become an animator when he watched Mighty Mouse, and became one of the greatest animator at Toei Animation (東映動画) then Nippon Animation (日本アニメーション), the major animation companies in the post-war Japan, where he was the master of the numerous famous animator like Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata etc. One of the major characteristics of Mori's style is that he loved to draw animal characters, and it leads to some anime works like The Wonderful World of Puss 'n Boots (長ぐつをはいた猫) in 1969, the protagonist of which is today's mascot of Toei Animation. He was of course under the influence of American animation, however, there was a unique art style. A researcher in the later days suggests that in Mori's work animal characters are drawn as equal as human and they have their own world, i.e. he drew the world of kids (and overall human) throughout animal characters. It means that his portraying of animal characters had the social satire. One of the reasons of Mori's influence is not only his influence on the whole Japanese animation but also the fact that he had worked relatively early and the period of his activities was relatively long, from the late of the 1950s (こねこのらくがき, Koneko no rakugaki) to the beginning of the 1980s (シートン動物記リスのバナー, Bannertail: The Story of A Gray Squirrel etc).

In spite of the difficulty to prove the direct cultural relationship between Mori's art and today's kemono art, however, there is a remarkable fact that in 2012 Gallone, the founder of Kemoket published a joint-doujinshi "Mori-no-ko (もりのこ)", featuring Mori's art, to which contributed the well-known kemono artists like Ikuta Takanon (いくたたかのん) and gamma-g.

Until the emergence of kemono artists at the end of the 20th century, it may be said that each anthropomorphic manga and anime works were the isolated cases and there is a hypothesis that they had not only the author's own interest toward anthropomorphism but also the certain influence of American cartoon or animation that Mori contributed to. For example, in 1973 Shinji Wada (和田慎二, 1950-2011) released a manga "Jugatsu no Kuma-san" (十月のクマさん, Bear-san in October) on a manga magazine for young girls and received the certain acclaim then finally published "Kumasan-no-Shiki (Four Seasons of Bear-san)" in 1976. This work, depicting the heart-warm and sometimes harsh story at the Ural mountain, was the rare case in that it was a commercial anthropomorphic manga at that time and under the influence of Mori.. Akira Himekawa (姫川明, consists of two artists born in the 1960s), a manga artist who also participate Kemono doujin event, lamenting his death in 2011, mentioned: "(Anthromorphic) Kemono manga, not zoomorphic, we saw for the first time."

On Japanese Anime, an animator Syuichi Seki (関修一, born 1946) was the designer of some anime works in which various "Kemono" characters appeared like Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds (ワンワン三銃士), Uchusen Sagittarius (宇宙船サジタリウス) etc. He has been a freelance animator but worked for the numerous works on Nippon Animation for a long time and it can be said that he was the pupil of Yasuji Mori.
Since the second half of the 1980s, Joji Manabe (真鍋譲治, born 1963) had drawn his manga in which did appeared some anthropomorphic characters in the nearer style to today's kemono art. Although Manabe didn't commit to Kemono fanzine, he had also published some doujinshi on Eto Ranger from 1998 to 2002. and it is inevitable to say that he had the certain influence on today's kemono art. For example, Gammachaos, the designer of Horkeukamui from Tokyo Afterschool Summoners had listed up the name of Manabe at the top of the favorite authors.

In the golden age of the Japanese video games in the 1980s and 90s, many anthropomorphic characters appeared in the well-known video games like Star Fox, Sonic that must have had the great influence on the Kemono fanzine later days.

As above, "Kemono" in today's had appeared in the numerous commercial manga and animations and video games. However, until the emergence of Kemono artists at the end of the 20th century, all works today regarded as "Kemono" was those motivated by the author's own interest toward anthropomorphism or the influence of the animation or manga by Mori and other professional artists. Almost no one author above was within the Kemono fandom and the commercial work by the artists within it had for the first time in the late of the 1990s.

Since at least before 2000, kemono is easily encountered in Anime, Manga, and Video games. Below is a selected list of such works that include kemono/furry characters and were/are the most influential to kemono fanzines.

Commercial Advance of kemono artists
The pioneer who was active within Kemono fanzine and published the commercial works featuring "Kemono", appeared in the late of the 1990's. Momiji Yuga (夕雅紅葉) published "Fur Fur" and other short comics on the commercial major adult manga magazine Kairakuten (快楽天). After that Yuga published "Dendo Yugu-ten (電動遊具店, Electric-adult-toyshop)" including almost all his other resembling works. However, it was the isolated case and "kemono" works was published mainly in doujin until the middle of the 2010s (see the chapter "Offline Community").

The situation has been changing since the beginning of the 2010s. Some works by artists within the kemono fanzine on the SNS or doujin, have been scouted and published from the relatively minor publishers: Soineya-Honpo (添い寝屋本舗) and Ojo to Nanahiki no Inu (お嬢と七匹の犬, Madamoisel and Seven dogs) by Iwatobineko (岩飛猫); Bucho ha Onee (部長はオネエ), Totsukuni no Syoujo(とつくにの少女) by Nagabe (ながべ); Afrika no Salaryman (アフリカのサラリーマン) by Gum(ガム); Yoichi to Tsugumo (与一とツグモ) by Hayate Kuku (琥狗ハヤテ); Oinari JK Tamamo-chan (お稲荷JKたまもちゃん) by Rei Yuuki (ユウキレイ); Mofuka no Poppuli (もふかのポプリ), Nyan Communication (にゃんこみゅにけーしょん)　by Kako Kizuki (喜月かこ) etc.

Meanwhile, the artists outside kemono fanzine has became very prominent by the work with all anthromorphic characters. Baru Itagaki (板垣巴留), the daughter of the famous mangaka Keisuke Itagaki, has been publishing her manga BEASTARS, the subject of which is the conflict between and carnivore and herbivore animals that is common with Zootopia on the well-known magazine Weekly Shonen-Champion (週刊少年チャンピオン). This manga have had great acclaims, and won several major manga awards including Manga Grand Prix (マンガ大賞) in 2018.

Kemono and furry
Though based on very different cultural ideals, kemono and furry fandom on the Internet can occasionally overlap, both geographically and in influence. Some kemono artists appeal to both at the same time. Due to the similarity in subject matter, kemono fans are also frequently interested in furry art (and vice versa.)

In early 2010, Kemonochan was created as an image board for English-speaking users who are fans of kemono artwork, but it closed in 2014, leaving VeeBooru and WildCritters as the main English-speaking boards for such work.

Kemoner
Some kemono fans are called Kemoner (ケモナー). The term has been controversial over the years, clarify sometimes for being used as a disparaging word,cn with some people who are regarded as Kemoner by others loathe being called so.clarify

Since the middle of the 1990s, the term "Kemoner" had been used mainly by people outside those of equivalent to Kemono fanzine at the whole anime/manga fanzine in the quite negative context like "the sexual perverts" who have lust for animals (often confused with zoophilia) and the person concerned had used it as self-torture.clarify In 1998, the prominent doujinshi circle (Kemono fanzine) KEMONERS which used this term as self-calling for the first time officially was launched, and it may be after this that "Kemoner" is used in the non-negative meanings.

Some definitions argue that Kemoner only stands for gay people in the fanzine, and does not include the straight peopleclarify, because since the late of the 1990s they became the majority of Kemono fanzine due to the major kemono-specialized online service FANG that banished straight-adult content from the service.

And "kemoner" is sometimes labeled on fans of related genres, including fans of kemonomimi, which stand for human characters with animal ears and tails, and also zoophiles and transfur. Those who were labeled as Kemoner without identifying themselves as such, loathe being called so because of the reasons listed above.clarify

Backward, some kemoners are very sensitive to the labeling kemonomimi as Kemono. On 13 March 2015, a weblog on Otaku culture "Omaemoka? Me too dayo (お前もか？ Me tooだよッ Are you also? Me too )" posted the article to introduce Kemono Friends (けものフレンズ), a new social game that all characters are female kemomimi, not anthropomorphic jujin. The problem was that the blogger wrote the words on the title "for Kemoner" (ケモナーのための), and moreover, at the end of the article, the blogger added; "I haven't ever recognized myself as a Kemoner, but I am a Kemoner! Say Hallo!"
(ケモナーの自覚はなかったけど、俺ケモナーだわ！よろしく！). These words were severely criticized by many people, presumably kemoners, and otherwise were anticipated that kemoners got mad. And tweets informed it by kemoners were retweeted over 900 times on Twitter. Soon the blogger apologized to kemoners and deleted the word "for kemoner" from the title of the article, while analyzing the cause of the trouble was that (s)he recognized the definition of Kemoner as "those who love animal-like something (『けものっぽいものが好きならケモナー』)" Since then this weblog has never been updated (as of January 2017). This incident indicates that how some kemoners show the attitude toward the easygoing confusion between Kemono and Kemonomimi by people outside of the Kemono fandom, which ironically was exacerbated later by the runaway popularity of Kemono Friends' anime adaption.

These facts make things more complex and it makes the term "Kemoner" very controversial.clarify Instead, the term Kemonozuki (ケモノ好き) is sometimes used to avoid these problems and troubles, though "kemoner" is still more well-known.

Offline community
Until the 2010s when the fursuit culture and events emerged, Japanese kemono community was mostly developed in the context of Japanese doujinshi (同人誌) culture, and it may be one of the important characters of Japanese kemono culture, compared with the equivalent in other countries.

Doujinshi refers to the self-published works (similar to fanzines), most of those are uncommercial but paid, and "doujin" refers to the related activities. Doujinshi vending events in Japan emerged in the middle of the 1970s. In 1975, Comiket was held for the first time, and it grew over the following decades to become the premier fan event in Japan. Until the 1980s, the main style of publication was "Joint-doujinshi" (合同誌), where various artists publish their works in a single book because self-publication demanded great expenses. Even as the cost of publishing declined, and the increase of doujinshis by a single artist ("Kojinshi", 個人誌), many kemono genre doujinshi are still produced collaboratively.

Already in the late 1980s, there were fanzines equivalent to today's kemono doujinshi, like those on Sherlock Hound (1984), and Gene Diver (1994). However, doujinshi featuring anthropomorphic characters seem to have only emerged en masse in the first half of the 1990s.

Until "kemono-only" events (vending events featuring only kemono doujinshi)" began in the early 2010s, Comiket was one of the primary places to sell kemono doujinshis. For years, kemono doujin circles sold their works mainly under the genre "original manga for boys" (創作少年, Sousaku Shounen), where original contents for all ages should be sold; though they also sell adult parody works to this day. Other than Comiket, Mimiket (launched in 2000) and Shotaket (launched in 1995) were also the places for selling kemono doujinshis. During the 2000s, many doujin circles took to selling their works online, increasing their exposure to the community and offering fans unable to attend conventions the opportunity to purchase doujinshi.

1990s
The 1990s were the pioneer days for kemono doujinshi circles. Its outset is quite unknown, however, some doujinshi circles appeared in this period.

In the early 1990s, a cub doujin-artist Nyantaro (にゃん太郎) launched his doujin circle Wan-Nyan Club (ワンニャン倶楽部), and published several joint-doujinshis on some animal characters in Japanese anime, like 3 Choume no Tama (3丁目のタマ, Tama in Land Lot 3) and Yo yo no Neko Tsumami (ヨーヨーの猫つまみ) etc., until its closure in 2000. Among his joint-doujinshis, "Gomen-ne!"(ゴメンネ！ lit. "Sorry!"), published in 1993, might be the first one with sexual fetish contents, including homosexual. Nyantaro himself didn't use the term "Kemono", but "Animal Character (動物キャラ)".

Meanwhile, in 1992 professional manga artist Yuusaku Toshima (豊島ゆーさく) published "Juukan Ou"(獣姦王, Zoophilian King) with some guest artists, including professional manga artist TRUMP, who later launched a series of his doujinshis Book of the Beast (獣之書) featuring female kemono in 1994.

In the middle of the 1990s, anime and games featuring anthropomorphic characters emerged, like Eto Ranger, Wild Knight Gulkeeva, Klonoa (風のクロノア), and the most well known Pokémon and Digimon franchises, all of which make today's kemono genre flourish.

In 1998 KEMONERS was launched by amateur doujin manga artists Nyajira, Harimogu Dragon, and Mahyo Sendo. This shows that the term "kemoner" was already used for self-identification at that time.

Doujinshis featuring dragons had also appeared in this period. In 1999 Tatsuhiro Haneda (羽田龍彦) published his joint-doujinshi "DRAGONS ARK".

In January 1999, the incident so-called "Pokémon Doujinshi Incident (ポケモン同人誌事件)" occurred. A doujin artist (not active in the kemono genre) who sold a doujinshi on Pokémon that contained zoophilia content was arrested.cn This incident seriously influenced not only Pokémon doujin but also the whole Japanese doujin culture.

2000s
Throughout the 2000s, kemono doujin continued to be magnified. The number of kemono doujinshi circles became greater and greater throughout the 2000s. In the middle of the 2000s, multiple anime series like Legendz, Onmyou Taisenki (陰陽大戦記), and Summer Wars led to the publishing of numerous doujinshis.

In 2000, KEMONERS was reorganized into KEMONERS02 under Mahyo Sendo. It became one of the popular doujinshi circles, and published several joint-doujinshis like ZooCan and Syru-Dra, until its closure in 2003.

Meanwhile, some original works had great influence. In 2001, a doujin artist HIRO launched his doujinshi circle Project D Production Committee (プロジェクトD製作委員会, Project D seisaku iinnkai), later renaming it to Kemono Town Production Committee (けものタウン製作委員会, Kemono Town Seisaku Iinnkai). In 2003, HIRO started to publish the serial joint-doujinshi HOWL, all of which have over 100 pages, and numerous famous kemono artists made the debut there in the later days. HOWL was published until 2013, for 20 volumes. In 2004 the amateur doujin manga artist kitora launched his doujinshi VORWERTS, and also published some joint-doujinshis until 2015. Another notable artist is gamma-g, who, in 2007, released his doujinshi Build Tiger (超獣合金ビルドタイガー) at Comiket. The Build Tiger series, which lasted until 2014 with 14 volumes, featured a long overarching plot, unusual for an erotic kemono doujinshi at the time.

It was also the middle of the 2000s that the history of Japanese fursuit events began, later than the western countries.

Fluffy
The start of kemono only events already appeared in the late of the 2000s. Syota Scratch (ショタスクラッチ), the doujin book fair specialized to human boys (shota) was founded in 2006 by a doujin artist and event promoter Naoki Matsumura (松村直紀). It is notable that some kemono doujin circles like 096 by Ransho Zero (also known as rankiti (ランキチ)) and Yuu Mutsumi (睦美勇) attended. They sold doujinshis on kemoshota, or furry boy characters (male cubs), and demanded the stable appearance in addition to Comiket, since the opening in 2006. Since then even some gay kemono circles also attended.

Consequently, at the end of the 2000s, a self-appointed "kemoshota only event (ケモショタオンリーイベント)" Fluffy (ふらっふぃ) was held inside Syota Scratch 13 in October 2009 by a professional manga artist Macop, and over 60 doujin circles attended. It is remarkable that Fluffy invited not only kemono but kemonomimi doujin circles and the picture on the poster was apparently shota with kemonomimi. At Fluffy 2 held in November 2010 in which 60 doujin circles attended understandably kemono doujin circles and kemonomimi doujin circles were mixed.

This shows that kemono only events emerged in the context of Shota doujin, mixed with kemonomimi, although in the kemono only events in the next decade kemonomimi doujin circles are seldom seen, and especially after the trouble around Fur-st and the emergence of Kemoket, the influence of Naoki Matsumura and shota doujin itself was excluded from kemono doujin in the first half of the 2010s.

2010s
The 2010s for Japanese kemono offline community is the era of "kemono only events" (ケモノオンリーイベント), vending event featuring only kemono doujinshi.

In February 2011, Juujin Matsuri, the first book fair featuring the only kemono, was held in Nagoya (despite the name, Fur-st was not the first; it was held in 20 March 2011 by Naoki Matsumura in Tokyo).

In 2012, Kemoket was held for the first time by doujin artist Gallone. However, Fur-st was the largest kemono book fair, until the trouble in 2013 at Fur-st 5, where Fur-st showed sample past publications by all attending circles without permission. It was critical to Fur-st to have lost its reputation, due to the lack of preparations for attendees in Fur-st 8 in 2014. The number of Fur-st attendees continues to decrease until now (2017).　On the other hand, the number of circles and attendees of Kemoket has grown for years. Kemoket recruited over 500 circles for Kemoket 7, to be held in 2017. In addition to starting Kemoket, Gallone launched the new kemono book fair "Ishu Love" in 2016, featuring love between kemono and human characters.

The number and scale of fursuit events also increased. Events such as Fullmoff, JMoF, and more were established during this decade.

Online Community
The beginning of the Japanese online community comparable to today's kemono fanzine is quite unknown, however, it can be imagined that forums on animals, or on anime and manga, etc., in which kemono character appeared, would have emerged with the development of the computer network from 1980s to 1990s. Apart from the commercial BBS system, in Japan the small private BBS system called "Kusanone-BBS (草の根BBS)" was prominent (maybe similar to FidoNet?). Gallone (がろーね), the future founder of Kemoket, was one of the users of BBS.

Since the middle of the 1990s, individual websites had appeared featuring today's kemono fanzine, and in 1997, FANG (online community), the website hosting service specializing in kemono was launched.

Kemono online community also developed in anonymous online communities, like 2ch (anonymous BBS service since 1999) and Futaba Channel (the prominent imageboard service in the early 2000s). Moreover, since circa 2000, 2ch Juu (2ch獣), anonymous Oekaki BBS was launched, where kemono artists submitted pictures and communicate with each other. 2ch Juu was separated into various paint BBSes for each genre, for example, male, female, dragon, kemoshota (cub), and non-kemono (獣にも属さない系), and they linked to each other. Such paint BBS declined after the emergence of Pixiv in 2007, the largest Japanese general online community for artists as of 2017.

Some individual websites were also prominent in the first half of the 2000's. For example, Eevee Studio was launched in 2003, and became the largest website of adult Pokémon pictures in the middle of the 2000s until its closure in December 2008; Kemono Server (けものサーバ), the new web hosting service for kemono fanzine, launched in 2004 to provide for members the server and domain "kemono.cc"; and Kemo-search (けもサーチ), the website search engine that was founded in the same year.

After 2006, the kemono online community has been developing within major Japanese general online communities like mixi, Pixiv and Twitter. On the other hand, individual websites and the neighboring services like Kemosearch, FANG, and Kemono Server declined (they still nominally continue to operate). In 2016, the Japanese social network Kemoner was launched.

Kikaku
"Kikaku" (企画, Project) occupies a significant position on kemono fanzine online. Kikaku is the artistic project between users mostly on pixiv and twitter, participants of which at first post their own character (if the kikaku is a fanfiction, their design is mostly based on its original) on the format called "Chara-shi (キャラシ, character sheet)" created by Kikakunushi (企画主, promoter of the Kikaku) who is usually also a user. And then they interactively post illustrations and manga and communicate with other participants. Participants are determined to act under rules by Kikaku-nushi. Kikaku-nushi's decision include the manner of enrollment and posting, whether the kikaku is NFSW or not, etc. The most well-known and major kikaku, in general, is the series of Pixiv Fantasia, the project of drawing fantastic works on pixiv, and within it, kemono artists organize Gild (ギルド), a small community featuring kemono characters.

The first kikaku featuring the only kemono was Kabupa (株パ, Pandemium Co., Ltd.) by Himasora (ひまそら), held from 2009 to 2010 on pixiv. Meanwhile, in the 2010s, kikaku became to be held also on twitter.

One of the characteristics of kikaku at Kemono fanzine is that they are held mostly within the community of Osukemo (Male anthropomorphic Kemono) artists, while Mesukemo (Female) artists seldom.

Kemono events
There are small scale, local furmeets and large-scale, regular conventions catering to kemono fans.

Kemono events can be generally categorized into two types: fursuit events, and doujin/fanzine vending events. (However, this is not absolute: Fullmoff (a fursuiting event) also has booths for creators, and Kemoket (a fanzine market) has spaces for fursuiting, so it is not possible to simply divide the two types.)

The latter type, kemono doujin events, originated from Japanese doujinshi fair like Comiket that began in the middle of the 1970s. Doujinshis featuring kemono had been published since the 1990s in Comiket etc., however, it was not until 2011 that doujinshi fairs featuring only kemono (called "kemono-only events" ケモノオンリーイベント ) appeared.

Fandom involvement
Straitfox became a furry in 2000, but didn't know what a furry was until 2004.

Fursona
Straitfox's fursona, inspired by watching the Disney animated movie Robin Hood once too many times, is a neurotic, crazy, insane, and lunatic anthropomorphic fox. His character has the ability to escape bindings and imprisonment. However, to his dismay, he seems to always get caught again, also having the ability to morph any animal at will with a magicians wand but without it is severely limited due to the amount of stress it has on his psyche and identity.

While on vacation in Sweden, he was inspired with an idea to complement his online persona with a straitjacket, a concept inspired by such characters as Psycho the Weasel from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Ripper Roo from the Crash Bandicoot games, Muzzle from Road Rovers, and suggestions by fellow furry red panda, Runtt (also known as Firefox).

Appearance
Straitfox has been going through some changes over the years, the only article of clothing that he wears being the straitjacket, which prevented everybody from view his fur pattern underneath. As of late, he has been seen wearing normal articles of clothing, including suits.

Originally a full fox, he changed to a foxmutt hybrid when he came of age.

Jacqueline Smith ("Jacky") is a mixed media artist born October 12th, 1993 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (With one(1) younger sister, Victoria born 3 years later) where she resided for the first 11 years of her life. Her first move was to Idabel, Oklahoma when her mother was called to work as McCurtain County's ADA. Due to a number of factors, she was forced to move back in with her grandparents for a time as her grandmother's health slowly began to deteriorate due to Liver Failure. Following the passing of her grandmother in that same year her parents filed for divorce and Jacqueline decided to live with her mother and sister.

She first discovered the Furry Fandom back in 2008 while browsing through character design art on Deviantarts website. Her first fursona Stellaryx was heavily inspired by her favorite video game series of the early 00's: Sly Cooper and The Thievius Raccoonus for the PS2. Jacqueline has since had 5 main fursona changes in the past few years, Azeryth reportedly being her final and only character after selling the intellectual rights to the others.

Several years later Jacqueline found herself in Bartlesville, OK where she met her ex-mate Rasputin ("Raz"/"Josh"/"Keelin"). The two were together ~5 years until their separation in the summer of 2018. Shortly after with the help of his family she was able to move back to Oklahoma City and currently resides in The Village, OK where she conducts online and in-person Public Relations/Social Media work for Oklahoma City's new furry convention AnthroExpo for OWO LLC.

Azeryth (“Aze”) is a shapeshifter with a primary form (bunny) and a secondary form (dragoness) that she switches between at will depending on her expression. She is an anthropomorphic character with the arcane knowledge and experience to transform into any form she has previously come in contact with via physical touch. Along with transformation, Azeryth has a multitude of various magical skills such as the ability to cast spells like “Heal”, “[element] Charge”, and Telekinesis. Her shapeshifting ability is a primary trait acquired shortly after being turned into a Vampiric being. Though her vampire side is not as prevalent in public, she has a tendency to flash her fangs when excited.

Appearance
Azeryth’s color scheme is relatively monochromatic with her makeup and hair being the only exception as she tends to dye/switch up her cosmetic style quite often. She resembles an arctic hare in some ways, with the tips of her ears being black. Her ears always perky unless sad or sleepy.
