Alright gang, what's our standard for something like this? Do we require some kind of third-party, neutral research? Scientific research? At any rate, I don't think we should be creating wiki articles for every random Web forum thread that comes up with a new concept of some kind.
It's not about the forum thread, it's something that happens to quite a few furries that is very odd. I thought that me and my friend were like the only ones that had it happen, til i saw that post.--[[User:172.159.254.216|172.159.254.216]] 23:00, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Phantom tail syndrome is similar to phantom limb syndrome which is where a person with missing limbs will still feel that limb. Phantom tail syndrome though is when you feel body parts that you never had before, mostly tails but also animal ears and wings. The person with phantom tail syndrome will feel their extra part as if it was real, like someone with phantom limb syndrome, but don't feel pain in them at all often, which people with phantom limb syndrome often do, Though they can feel pain if the body part is stepped on or closed in a door. Also unlike those with phantom limb syndrome, they lose the feeling of these extra parts, sometimes by choice.
