Maranatha is a work of contemporary urban homerotic anthropomorphic fiction by Alex "Osfer" Vance. Set in Maranatha City, the story follows the sexy hustler Owen Zelazny, the thuggish rogue Q. I. Malloy, the innocent Alice and the Macchiavellian manipulator Tiber Ferrum, a high-ranking exectuvie in Sargasso Holdings, Inc. -- among many, many others.

A soaring plotline binds a grand collection of characters together, ranging from the optimistic and hedonistic, to the thug who's just doing his job and the reprehensible psychopath. Prostitution, kidnapping, drugs and murder are of the order of the day.
But it isn't all doom and gloom. Maranatha wouldn't have been entertaining if that were the case. Dashing characters leap off the page even when they aren't telling the story from their perspective -- and when they are, there's no stopping them. Raucous black humour, odds-defying action and steamy, white-hot sex continue to draw readers back for each new chapter.

The story was started at the end of November 2004 when the author abandoned the fantasy project he'd been writing for the National Novel Writing Month. Three sleepless nights later he had penned thirty thousand words, passing the fifty thousand word requirement less than a week aftr that.
