142.167.166.164: stating the obvious.

FurAffinity is one of the furry fandom's larger community art galleries, alongside VCL. The site was shut down prior to August 1, 2005 due to disagreements between Jheryn and Arcturus, the major administrators to the site. Prior to then, the site had suffered from major security holes and an unfortunate hacking in mid-2005.

What separated Fur Affinity from the larger, more populated VCL was its ability to allow users to track their favorite artists through a "+watch" function, track their favorite pictures with a "+fav" feature, allowed for the general feeling of a community with comment systems, journals, personalized "shells" to view the site in, and more.

There are current plans to return Fur Affinity online. The current estimate for return is on or around September 1st. However, this deadline has obviously passed. Over $1500 was raised by the Fur Affinity community to secure its new server.

Arcturus meanwhile is setting up another art gallery under the name of ArtPlz (formerly ArtFu). It is currently under development and is expected to launch at some point in the near future.

See also
* FurAffinity at Wikipedia

External links
* FurAffinity
* ArtPlz

142.167.166.164: Expanded beyond the first line.

A demon in furry circles, is a species of fur that is closely related to the religious notions of "evil" and "hell".

Most often, demon is a modifier applied to another species. Certain features are added to the base species; Horns, usually of either bull or ram style, crimson fur or hairless crimson skin, sharp fangs, bifurcated hooves, spaded tails, and bat or dragon-like membranous wings.

If the individual is simply a demon, any combination of the above features are applied to a human base.

Demons also usually have supernatural strength and resiliance, an immunity or affinity for fire, lava, or other high temperatures, and numerous magical abilities.

In social furry interaction, demons are often just very hedonistic rather than truly "evil", but this is by no means a rule.
