ConFurgence, formerly MiDFur (Melbourne in December Fur Meet), is an furry convention that has been held annually since 1999 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

History
In late 2012, It was announced that ConFurgence would for the most part, replace MiDFur,cn with the original name being handed back to the community for future use.clarify The theme for the new convention would be Egyptian Nights.

The change was needed due to the growth of the convention, with room running out at the Arrow on Swanston and others being cost prohibitive, and because December is an inconvenience, with university exams falling in that month. Also, changing the month made the name effectively obsolete.<ref>http://www.flayrah.com/4488/melbournes-midfur-change-name-dates-venue Melbourne's MiDFur to change name, dates and venue] article on Flayrah.
