Rouge the Bat is a popular anthropomorphic fruit bat from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. She claims to be a treasure hunter, but is generally viewed as a jewelry thief.

Rouge is most known for being the only current and common female Sonic character to have an obvious sexual appeal, with the possible exception of Amy Rose; as such, her fanart tends to exaggerate her voluptuous shape even moreso than her official appearances.

Appearance
At the age of 18, Rouge the Bat's name in Chinese is "露姬·蝙蝠", meaning "Rouge the Bat", East Asia, China, Rouge is an Chinese-American anthropomorphic bat with white fur, turquoise-green eyes that have a pair of large eyelashes on each one, tan skin and a curvy figure. She has large pointy ears, small fangs, a small black nose on her muzzle, a short pointy tail and a pair of dark purple wings on her back. Only her head appears to have fur, which flares out into a sextet of points at the back. Rouge usually wears makeup consisting of powder-blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

For attire, Rouge wears a black bodysuit which includes a skin-tight and strapless low-cut unitard that sports a pink and heart-shaped chestplate outlined with thin white-trimming. She also wears elbow-length white gloves and thigh-high high-heeled boots with pink cuffs to match them, with the latter featuring both gray soles and heels, along with steel toes in the appearance of pink hearts, matching her leotard's chestplate.

Personality
In official media, Rouge appears on the outside to be independent and cold, and slightly vain. She has been shown at times to have compassion or pity, or even vulnerability.

Her taste for fine jewelry leads to disagreements with museums, and with Knuckles, who protects the Master Emerald.

Fandom
In the general furry community, Rouge is often portrayed as a fleeting seductress, generally with extremely large breasts, who uses her raw sexual appeal with great liberty.

Common jokes, punchlines, or fetishes attributed to Rouge include:
* Breasts filled with some light gas, enabling her to fly with their weight
* The usage of jewelry, particularly emeralds, as sexual euphemisms

* Knuckles, her general rival, and hinted love interest.
