Retrieved December 12, 2010</ref> Under the name of Black Static Productions, she is the artist and writer for her anime and manga series Thunderpaw. She also composes music for Hybrid Hardkore (previously known as Freakradio).

Fursonas
Ayla Kurone
Ayla's fursona is an anthropomorphic Caracal hybrid bearing powers over light and electricity. As a representation of her human creator, Ayla is an artist who loves to party and follow an adventurous lifestyle. She is a creative and determined individual who strongly chases her music career; this can get in the way of her work and social life, however, and she will often find herself irritated when she has to think practically. She has problems with honesty, and finds it hard to be truthful with people, but appreciates when people can be blunt with her.

Appearance
Ayla's body is covered in a short to medium-length tan-blonde fur, growing white over her cheeks, nose, neck and underside. She stands at 5'8" with a lean yet strong build. Sprouting from her shoulderblades are two silver wings, tipped with black. They resemble the wings of a seagull. Her ears, paws and tail are black, with thick white bands on her forearms. Her bright lime-green eyes are ringed with black, and turn silver when angered or using her powers. A large round notch in her left ear is her most recognisable facial feature. Her tail is long and fluffy, similar in shape to a snow leopard's. Her shoulder-length black hair is jagged-looking, and her fringe - died bright blue - hangs over her right eye.

Ayla's main outfit consists of a grey hoodie, with blue and black striped sleeves. She wears blue and black rave pants, or a pair of bootcut jeans. She is often seen in a blue or silver tank top. She occasionally wears a black shirt with clock gears printed on the front. Her optional accessories include a striped blue scarf, khaki cap, fishnets, black choker and various musician trademarks (eg. Angerfist mask).

Character Biography
Ayla was originally known as Aryana, the serpentine goddess of Light. She controlled the lunar and solar patterns of Hallyara, a small hidden sanctuary in the Fourth Dimension where spirits could escape from war within their regions. Along with Ciardha and Oleya, the dragons of Darkness and Spirit, they were responsible for keeping peace and harmony to their nation.
However, this realm was found by a demon who called himself Uteau. With his army of spiritual manipulators, The "Enemy" attacked and destroyed Hallyara, along with the realm's civilization. As a result of this invasion, most of the dragons were unable to physically survive and those who did escaped to the third dimension on Earth.

Aryana had no choice but to reincarnate into the body of a chosen host, Ayla Kurone, and share her body through a form of spiritual possession known as 'mind merging'. Ayla's mortal form gained the powers of her dragon counterpart, including a set of 'rib wings' she can create by channeling her aura. However, as Aryana plays the role of Ayla's consciousness, she cannot let her dragon self be attacked or wounded by fourth-dimensional forces; if an attack were too strong for her mortal self to handle, both Ayla and Aryana could be killed.

On some rare occasions, Ayla can astrally travel out-of-body using her dragon from. This is a skill she lacks experience in though, and she has not yet developed a way to protect her physical self during this state of trance. She is also capable of sharing her consciousness with others, for short periods of time only - this ability will only work if both recipients are willing to share the mind merge.

Weapons
Ayla’s weapon of choice is Mirahime; a magic staff with the ability to fold in on itself, forming a handheld chakram. The weapon features two scythe-like copper blades – they work by reflecting the attacker’s fear and/or intentions back at them, using these images as a psychological barrier for defence.

Kaigan Kurone
Ayla's other fursona is Kaigan "Kai" Kurone, a black dingo used to represent her brother or male self. Like his female counterpart, Kai has a creative streak (mostly in electronics and interior design), though he is more organised with his social life and approaches team work with enthusiasm. He is a joker at heart, often playing pranks on his friends and finding ways to turn even the worst situation into something that can be laughed at later. He is a relaxed and laidback individual who follows a hippie lifestyle, even sporting a prized green kombi which is his permanent residence.

Appearance
Kai is of roughly the same height as Ayla Kurone, yet a slightly more muscled build makes him appear larger. Like the caracal, he will walk on his toes though this is less commonly seen. His ears are large and forward facing, complimenting his canine appearance. His black fur is short and shiny; with gold and silver markings similar to those of his female counterpart. His chest and stomach are white. Down his arms and legs, three silver spots contrast the gold stripes on his tail. His eyes are bright sapphire blue with two distinctive gold triangles under each. Hanging messilly over his face, his blue-black hair is streaked with silver and grows to his waist. Sprouting from his back are silver damselfly wings, which he keeps folded. He is unable to fly.

Kai's outfit consists of baggy faded jeans - torn in the right knee - with a red leather belt. Though usually topless, his t-shirt is brown with a green spiral on the front. His fashion tastes are mostly tie dyed shirts or hemp jackets.

Weapons
Instead of using weapons, Kaigan prefers to use his powers to control water. His main attacks include tidal waves, often taking the shape of a serpent upon which he rides.

Other Characters
Lexidius Kurone
Lexidius "Lex" Kurone is the son of Aryana and Ciardha. Unable to survive the mix of light and dark in his genetics, Ciardha and Oleya used their magic to seal his spirit into the body of an arctic wolf. When Uteau's army attacked Hallyara, he escaped with Oleya to a cliff in the outer desert of Hallyara, where time flowed differently to that of Earth. Digging himself a hole in the rock face, he used his magic to create a single white tree, used to keep the realm alive. Lexidius lived in an underground spring under this tree for twenty-five years, keeping in contact with Ayla and Aryana using telepathy. He is currently learning to speak English.

Liana Reznikova
Liana, Lily and Lyra Reznikova are three Russian sisters with powers over fire, ice and time travel. They had a poor upbringing during the years of the Cold War, never knowing who their parents were or what the purpose of their powers was. Running from the KGB as fugitives (they had been captured after Liana accidentally created a fire in the presence of an officer), their lives were lost in 1985 after a freak accident involving Lyra's powers.
Years later in 2010, Liana met Ayla Kurone and the two of them instantly became friends, with the ghost spending twelve months pursuing a relationship. Unable to bring Liana fully back to life, the caracal instead connected Liana's spirit to hers using a spell called the shadow kiss. Much like the mind merge with Aryana, Ayla and Liana can share each others memories and emotions, speaking telepathically.
Liana is also the host for Oleya, dragon goddess of Spirit.

Vincent MacDonald
Vincent is a wolf-like shadow dragon from the outskirts of Hallyara. He is highly intelligent for his age, having studied alchemy alongside Uteau's followers. However, when he noticed Uteau's obsession with black magic, he knew he would have to escape an oncoming war within the fourth dimension and fled with his sister Saskia to Scotland, where they disguised themselves as human teenagers and eventually moved to Australia. He is currently dating Liana's sister Lyra, and also has an affinity towards bats.

Saskia MacDonald
Vincent's younger sister, Saskia, is a psychic dragon and part albino. Though blind in her right eye, she has the ability to read a person's thoughts and memories through direct eye contact. When she and Vincent fled from the war in Hallyara, she was often laughed at for being different and viewed the human world with fear. After moving to Australia to avoid contact with The Enemy, she sheltered herself in the hipster lifestyle and became close friends with Kaigan. She is currently dating Liana.

Renegade
Renae Kurone, also known as "Fish" or "Renegade", is a werepanther with dark purple fur, black hair and turquoise eyes. She is a born tomboy, and has a very short temper. However, she also has a sensitive side and is actually quite insecure about herself. She worked as a lifeguard in Bondi for three years, before she was changed into a were at the age of 18. She promptly ran away from home, and now works as a bartender.

The Thunderpaw Project
Thunderpaw is an ongoing manga project started by Black Static Productions in 2007. Set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans have died out, it follows the lives of animals living in Borneo. Raineko, the Feline Tribe's inquisitive and adventurous Bay Cat, finds himself pondering the greater meaning of life after finding an underground cave system bordering the Snake Tribe's territory. Upon entering this cave to escape a thunderstorm, he encounters a gigantic crystal structure in a hidden chasm, and upon touching it is given heightened senses and the power to conduct static electricity. He also triggers a series of earthquakes along the Pacific coastline.

Upon resurfacing, Raineko is confronted by the Snake Tribe's youngest hunter, Daichi, who tells him he has intruded on the serpent gods' sacred site. As a deal for keeping his powers a secret, Raineko promises not to tell the tribes of his tresspassing. However, his naive leopard friend Isa soon finds out, and gossips to the head of the Feline Tribe. This creates a conflict between each of Borneo's rivaling clans, and the three animals are forced to escape underground, where they find themselves passing through a portal into the Hollow Earth - an ancient civilisation where animal intelligence rivals that of the humans who once lived on the surface millions of years ago.

The Thunderpaw Project is planned to be published in four volumes as part of the Hollow Earth Chronicles, and will also sport an animated television series.

Hybrid Hardkore
Previously known as Freakradio, Hybrid Hardkore is a project started in 2010 by BlackStatic and Yayzi (Fyrusome). Similar in nature to LapFox Trax, Yayzi would provide album art for any music the band released. This changed over time, as Yayzi's position was replaced by Servadile (Gabb3r Gat0r, formerly known as STEAMRAVE), who also released three songs on Freakradio's label.
As of late 2011, most of Hybrid Hardkore's music and art is solely by BlackStatic and focuses on harder dance genres such as Gabber, Hardstyle, Happy Hardcore and 90s Trance.
