The Zylithian (also known unofficially as the wyrm¹) is one of the alien races featured in Tales of the Tai-Pan Universe. Although they somewhat resemble terran reptiles, they are warm-blooded. The Zylithians are a space faring race that waged war with the Terran colonies hundreds of years in the past. Hostilities still exist between the two races, especially in some border territories.
Zylithian society is one that is very communal, individuality is heavily frowned down upon. Zylithian technology is slightly better than that of the Terran Confederation².
