The Warriors series, by Erin Hunter, is about cats with human-like properties. They live in the forest and must hunt to survive.

The warriors cats are divided into four Clans known as ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan and SkyClan. All these Clans live by The Warrior Code and in the forest (then later, around the lake) under their warrior ancestors, which are known by them as StarClan.

Series[edit]

The Warriors series is mostly divided into miniseries. The first miniseries is referred to as "The Original Series", or "First Arc. Warriors: The New Prophecy is the second series. Warriors: Power of Three is the third series. 'Warriors: Omen of the Stars' is the fourth series. 'Warriors: A Vision of Shadows' is the fifth series .The sixth has not come out yet but is titled “Warriors:The Broken Code”. There are also plenty of Warrior books in manga format, one known as the "Lost Warrior Trilogy," another miniseries, 'Dawn of the Clans,' and several longer books called 'Super Editions.' (Also there are other books that are just called ‘Short Stories’)

This series stars Firepaw (later Fireheart) and pursues him as he strives to become a warrior, follow the warrior code, remain loyal to StarClan's wishes and his own Clan and leader, and reveal a dangerous and murderous traitor.

This series stars Brambleclaw, a new ThunderClan warrior, Squirrelpaw, a new ThunderClan apprentice, Stormfur and Feathertail, the RiverClan brother and sister, Crowpaw, the irritable WindClan apprentice, and Tawnypelt, Brambleclaw's ShadowClan sister, and Leafpaw, Squirrelpaw's medicine cat apprentice sister. Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Crowpaw, Stormfur, Feathertail, and Squirrelpaw are on a mission from StarClan to save the forest from terrible destruction. This series takes place six months after the original one in a new generation.

Original series[edit]

Firestar- The main character in this series. He is a handsome ginger tom with green eyes. Belongs to ThunderClan.

Graystripe- Firestar's best friend. A solid dark gray warrior with amber eyes. Belongs to ThunderClan.

Ravenpaw- Firestar's other best friend. Told Firestar about Tigerstar's treachery. Loner. Formerly ThunderClan.

Tigerstar- The main antagonist. He hates Firestar more than any other cat. A large dark tabby with amber eyes. Belongs to ThunderClan, later ShadowClan.

Bluestar- The Leader of ThunderClan. A blue-gray she-cat with clear blue eyes. Deceased.

Scourge- A small black-and-white cat from Twolegplace. Leader of BloodClan. Deceased.

New Prophecy series[edit]

Brambleclaw- ThunderClan warrior. A large dark tabby with amber eyes. He was on StarClan's mission.

Hawkfrost- Brambleclaw's half-brother by their father. A large dark tabby with ice-blue eyes. Belongs to RiverClan. Deceased.

Crowfeather- A territorial warrior. He was on StarClan's mission. A dark gray tom with amber eyes. Belongs to WindClan.

Feathertail- A light gray RiverClan she-cat with blue eyes. She went on the mission. She is Stormfur's brother and Crowfeather's first love. Deceased.

Stormfur- He is Feathertail's brother. He went with her on the mission to protect her. A solid dark gray tom with amber eyes.

Squirrelflight- Firestar and Sandstorm's daughter. She went on the mission with Brambleclaw to get away from her father. She is a ginger she-cat with green eyes and one white forepaw. She is Leafpaw's sister and shares a telepathic communication with her.

Leafpool- Squirrelpaw's sister. She is in training to be a medicine cat. She shares a telepathic communication with her sister. Her fur is dark tabby.

Power of Three series[edit]

Hollyleaf: Grandkit of Firestar. Originally thought to be one of the Three foretold in a prophecy about Firestar's kin, but is later revealed not to be. Deceased.

Lionblaze: Grandkit of Firestar. One of the Three foretold in a prophecy. Has the power to fight any mortal cat without being injured.

Jayfeather: Grandkit of Firestar. Medicine cat. One of the Three. He is blind, but can walk through the dreams of others and explore their memories.

Cats from StarClan and the Dark Forest make appearances throughout, and play a key role.

Omen of the Stars series[edit]

Lionblaze and Jayfeather, as well as StarClan and Dark Forest cats, are also in this series.

Dovepaw: Discovered to be the third of the Three. She has the ability to see, hear, and smell farther than any cat. Used this ability to save the Clans from a drought caused by beavers damming a river and preventing water from getting to the lake.

Ivypaw: Sister of Dovepaw. Is very jealous of the attention her sister receives. Trains in the Dark Forest with Hawkfrost, thinking him a cat of StarClan.

A Vision of Shadows[edit]

Alderheart: Grandkit of Firestar and kit of Bramblestar and Squirrelflight. The new medicine cat.

Clan terms[edit]

Twolegs- humans

Twolegplace- a human city, town, or other a place where humans live in large groups

Twoleg nest- a human house

Thunderpath- a road

Monster- a car

Deathberries- yew berries (which are poisonous)

Moon- a full cycle of the moon, about a month

Crowfood- food that is no longer edible

Fresh-kill- recently killed prey

Kittypet- a housecat; a cat who lives with twolegs

Loner- A cat that lives on its own or with a few others and fends for itself. They are usually peaceful.

Rogues- Cats who live outside of the Clans, migrating from place to place. They can be dangerous.

Sunhigh- noon; when the sun is highest in the sky

Leaf-Bare- Winter

New-Leaf- Spring

Green-Leaf- Summer

Leaf-Fall- Autumn
