The Warriors series, by Erin Hunter, is about cats with human-like properties. They live in the forest and must hunt to survive.

The warriors cats are divided into four Clans known as ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan (and in Firestar's Quest SkyClan). All these Clans live by The Warrior Code and in the forest (then later, around the lake) under their warrior ancestors, which are known by them as StarClan.
