User/main namespace split
I thought that was what my page was supposed to be like. The other problem is if someone wants to write about Steam, in the context of the game company as theres a large furry user group thereSteam 01:52, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- The page about you is like that. "Your page" is different, because it's not a public description of you, but more of a personal introduction as an editor. Compare GreenReaper and User:GreenReaper. As for Steam, it's not really much of a furry topic but if that is desired in the future we can make a disambiguation page, or (probably) move the page about you to your "full" name and put a note at the top telling people to look there for the page about the person. --GreenReaper(talk) 02:20, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
I see your point, I try to keep them in order :) User:FurryWurry needs switching to person from user.
Please use preview
When making multiple edits to an article, please use the "Show preview" button to view intermediate changes, and try to limit use of the "Save page" button to when you are finished making all of your changes. Frequent use of "Save page" during editing tends to clutter the article's edit history and the site's change log.

I But do, but my large to small edits were done over many hours I been up all night!, This is because some retard thinks its ok to come to wikifur see a profile about a user dump all there data into it, and then force admins to split that so in fact robbing me of the wikifur url I picked, and which was no problem in the past.
I am sure wiki can purge any data that's not required with a simple request. If not its my own page I'm editing and to be honest I do not see a problem with it when no one else needs to check it but me and only I will edit my page.
- While much of the content on wikis is easily removed or restored as needed, edit histories is not one of them. As one of the admins, I don't have the ability to clean up a spammy edit history, and I'm not even sure if GreenReaper does.
- If you spend a lot of time making edits to an article, it's okay to do a periodic save page as a precaution so your work is not all lost in the event of a crash or whatnot. All we ask is that you exercise moderation in how often you save your edits rather than previewing them.
- I'm not sure what you're referring to about "robbing the URL" or forcing the split. If you mean someone else created an different article with the same name, renamed yours, and changed the original into a disambiguation page, that is standard operating procedure on Wikifur as it is on many other wikis when there are multiple uses for a name or term. There are no "squatters rights" for whomever used the name first. --mwalimu 19:13, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
