Problem with the main page

Looks like somebody has replaced the main page with some troll imagery and the text "GreenReaper is a crybaby who doesn't like to be called out on his own bullshit. This message has been brought to you by Meepsheep."

Can you fix this, and inform me if it is possible for me to do so in the future? -- 02:21, 20 June 2011 (EDT)
I hope it's not bad form, but I've temporarily fixed this by overwriting the week 25 featured article page with the week 24 article. Apologies if I shouldn't have done this, but it seemed the quickest way to do a temporary fix with no admins around. The featured article thing does look like a loophole that needs to be plugged though..... Bezel 02:42, 20 June 2011 (EDT)

Um, hi

That I.P. address you welcomed belongs to me. I didn't notice I wasn't logged in until after the second edit. Sorry about that. Equivamp 01:13, 7 July 2011 (EDT)

No prob =) Spirou 01:30, 7 July 2011 (EDT)

Xp

=/ I should have gone to bed instead of doing a late edit on the board - Spirou 04:20, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

Thank you

Thank you loads for fixing the 'Utah Furries' article, it now reflects the information in a neat and more importantly true manner.--FrosteeDFox 05:36, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

We continue to have issues on the page 'Utah Furries' after you came in and fixed everything up the user Eliaphir reverted back--FrosteeDFox 16:06, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

Hobart Starr page

You put Cleanup and WIkify templates on the Hobart Starr page. The referenced articles are rather long. What specific changes did you want on this page?

Please note: You don't have to reply to this -- of course -- but if you don't it is unlikely that the page will get cleaned up, because I am only an amateur editor at best, with maybe 10 contributions total to my credit (including both Wikifur and Wikipedia). I simply don't have the expertise to figure out what should be done. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bgoldnyxnet (talkcontribs) . d

No prob (sorry for the late response). It is just a marker indicator for any editor that the article must conform to the Furry Book of Style,... it's not an order or imposition =) Probably work on it myself this weekend - Spirou 03:00, 24 July 2011 (EDT)

Doh

Not the first either =P - Spirou 21:34, 7 August 2011 (EDT)

Disagreement.

I understand the principles of neutrality. But to completely destroy a better layout? You ruined my concepts for Nazi Furs and didn't even look at what I did with it, adding in examples and actually giving more justification. --KaliPaige 01:49, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

  • And another thing. Sex, however much you desire to justify it, is not worth the history books. When you open your history book in school, do you get an in-depth page about human sexuality? About why people have sex? This is a Wiki devoted to the history of anthropomorphic animals, NOT what they do in bed or their fetishes. I merely added in more on the yiff page and reworded - NOT deleted entirely. I am not erasing anything; I do not have that power. I know my boundaries. For example, had you even taken a look at what I did for the Nazifur page, I left it the same. The SAME, and added citations, quotations, references; things any good Wiki page should have. --KaliPaige 02:10, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

Cleanup tags

I think, generally speaking, that an article doesn't need both cleanup and wikify templates; one or the other would be sufficient. -- Sine 17:29, 17 August 2011 (EDT)

I thought that "cleanup" was for the general verbal mess an article had, and the work of trimming/arrange it, while "wikify" was to take the post cleanup and format the result to Wikifur's standards. I can stick to "Cleanup" from now on, I guess - Spirou 18:39, 17 August 2011 (EDT)

User:The One MS

It's User:Meepsheep. I advise switching to a permanent ban; she will be back. Equivamptalk 21:57, 19 August 2011 (EDT)

Sorry

I would like to apologize for my intolerance towards WikiFur last week; more specifically, I mean my intolerance towards articles I did not approve of. I have done some self-analysis and a lot of personal problems have been worked out, and I will, from now on, be as neutral as is humanly possible. Thank you for your valuable insight in our brief period of dispute. --KaliPaige 17:21, 22 August 2011 (EDT)

No apology needed. Everything is cool =) - Spirou 20:43, 22 August 2011 (EDT)

Furnal Equinox Page Set to m?

While I appeciate the page being set moderated or whatever, Danskunks edit is not part of FE and should be moved to his page where it can be linked to and not from our convention page. - FurnalEquinoxShane

(m?) Anyways., the FE article is about it, and everybody who was involved with, including Dan Skunk. It's stated there was some bad blood, and references were added (FEs, and a changed Dan's link to a reference, with a note of concern that it could be POV). Hiding it on Dan's page is not the proper way to present both sides of the issue, and yes, you seem to think it blemishes the article. Well, it's life, and you take the good with the bad. This is an historical Wiki, after all.
You have fought this inclusion so long, now people are probably curious of what transpired (I finally was!). Every week was/is edits and talks, edits and talks, well, welcome to history =/ - Spirou 00:43, 25 August 2011 (EDT)

Hi

Why did you delete my user page? Are there any rules regarding userspace I am not aware of? Pants 00:18, 26 August 2011 (EDT)

Pool and Pho

Sorry gents, my micron pens are melting in my hands, and the computer's fans are starting to sound like a constipated P-51 =P - Spirou 18:29, 26 August 2011 (EDT)

I got 600 more images, there must be a solution to this problem,... is across browsers and OS (Windows 7/OS X Lion/iPhone+iPad 4.X.X) ` Spirou 02:08, 3 September 2011 (EDT)

No need to protect it. I have nothing to do until Monday, so I can handle the vandalism. Equivamptalk 19:59, 3 September 2011 (EDT)

Facepunch

and why do you think the furry forum went bye bye? 203.214.36.63 05:01, 4 September 2011 (EDT)

Because it went on a British holiday?. It doesn't matter. It was a claustrof#@&% of furs and non-furs, slap fighting on a localized sub-forum. In no way this website can be classified as a scourge to the fandom - Spirou 05:45, 4 September 2011 (EDT)

"False information"

Are you sure? I'd go for "not exactly proven by the source", myself. Note that he organizes Zeta-Pride. --GreenReaper(talk) 02:16, 5 September 2011 (EDT)

Yes, I know about the Zeta connection, but is written more as an inflammatory edit than informative. How would we present it without being seem malicious? - Spirou 02:38, 5 September 2011 (EDT)
Perhaps include more details from the video? There is plenty that could be quoted from the subtitles about preferring to live alone with his dog rather than with other humans, etc. --GreenReaper(talk) 02:43, 5 September 2011 (EDT)
Yes,... If it's translated right, he seems to infer that he has more empathy to canine companionship than human,... still watching - Spirou 02:48, 5 September 2011 (EDT)
Not even close to that "zoophile" edit,... instead, He talks about no fitting in society, feeling like an outcast, feeling more emphasis from his dog or other furries, to hide his humanity behind his fursuit (and plushies), his failure to fit in humane society, etc,... As it stands, there's nothing in there where he declares himself a "zoophile", or having sexual acts with his dog.
He may be, Zetacon and all, but that info is not coming from the film =/ - Spirou 03:06, 5 September 2011 (EDT)

Concentration

I should move the computer's monitor screen's arm away from the drawing board when I'm working on media Xp. Is not worth the amount of Tylenol taking some of the entries’s edits generate - Spirou 21:40, 15 September 2011 (EDT)

Kameron userpage

Hello,

Please do not return Kameron Luc Caro's userpage information to include the name and city that I deleted on the principle of it being inaccurate and also using a full name and city on the internet without any permission whatsoever. Thank you very much for your understanding. Please contact Neoscottie on FA or DevArt or neoscottie@yahoo.com if you need to ask any questions.

Unless you are Kameron Luc Caro, this is normally not possible, as you are acting as a third party editor on a user's own page. If you can contact said person, and informed him of this inaugurated/old data, he can make the change or contact a curator to do it for him/her. Exceptions can be made by higher up Colleagues or curators - Spirou 00:44, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
I think we can make an exception in this case. User pages are not entirely sacrosanct; if what is defined as private information regarding others' real lives is there, it may be removed as any other page. The subject can be contacted via IM listed on their FA, and I have done so. --GreenReaper(talk) 00:54, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Made point for future reference. Thanks =) - Spirou 01:01, 16 September 2011 (EDT)

Kameron userpage, 2

I am Neoscottie, the person he claims on his page to be "mated to." This information is incorrect and has been so for years. I only came across this page today and am rather shocked to see my full name and location also listed under his profile.

Remove the part including my name and location. I am not only horrified to be associated with him, but I have reason to believe this page is a reason for employers to reject my applications and am incredibly uncomfortable to see my name and hometown on his page, or even my username associated with him in any way, shape, or form.

Please see WikiFur:Personal exclusion for the normal way to have that paragraph excluded, or if you have Livejournal or a Fur Affinity account, please leave a temp entry to inform us to do so - Spirou 00:56, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Or, As it just happened, that data has been removed by a higher up Curator - Spirou 00:58, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Often the best way to resolve these situations is to go to a website like FA or Inkbunny and look up the IM contact details listed for that user, then try to use them to contact the person concerned. Obviously, some may not have such details listed, but if they do, you can confirm their identity and discuss the issue with them at the same time, in a way which they are familiar with. Wikis are sadly not very good at facilitating communication between users, although you can get used to it. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:04, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
I will have to redownload that Program again (Xp). Not a fan on it on a Mac, but if it helps =/ - Spirou 01:27, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Oh, I despise that program >=(. Well, is back online =/ - Spirou 01:50, 16 September 2011 (EDT)

Trolling on the DarkDoomer article

Why must you *keep* shoving this drama section on DarkDoomer's article? He proved you wrong! Now he said he'll be obliged to contact GreenReaper requesting an exclusion because you seem to be into some moral crusade against DarkDoomer and other artists as I read tis page. https://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=17364 Think again before doing stupid shit.
