Crossroads MUCK[edit]

Re Crossroads MUCK, I'm of the belief that the more information the better, particularly for a place that's closed. I suggest a Former staff (or some such title) would be worth having, and keeping Alyssa's name under there. Perhaps something similar under characters: Characters as of 2005, and Past characters? I'm not familiar with Crossroads myself--I just dig through Google and things--so I wouldn't be able to sort them out, but if you have the knowledge, well! -- Sine 00:57, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Ricadonna[edit]

I saw that Ricadonna had been banned for 'assisting vandalism' - all I saw was a 'is this loli?' edit that was removed a few minutes later...does that really constitute half a year's worth of being banned? o.O --- Never mind, I just saw that you shortened the ban. Spaz Kitty

It was shortened carefully. I have an apprehensive attitude about it. Considering that it was very minor and may have been just a mistype or whatever, a six month span would've probably been a bad idea. Two hours was small enough for me, despite feeling apprehensive about the entire thing. ----Markus(talk) 20:42, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Category:Babyfurs[edit]

From User talk:Skippyfox:

Not trying to be pretentious, but you removed the babyfur category for 'privacy', but your talk page mentions it often, and the links to art of SkippyFox show him as a babyfur...wouldn't you have to remove all of this in order to have this kept 'private'? Spaz Kitty

Talk pages are talk pages, used mostly in the development of wiki articles, and people should feel free to discuss things on them. Pages about users are a "public face" on their life. They have different audiences and therefore may contain differing content. Obviously, someone can come on here and make the deduction, if they choose to do so. However, putting a category tag on is a rather bigger thing, as it is essentially advertising it to anyone who comes across that page, or that category page.
My personal feeling (which I was just about to put on the appropriate talk page) is that it might be appropriate to only have people add that category to the article about them themselves. It has different meanings to different people, and while they may consider themselves one, they may not wish others to consider them one in a different context. Or, they may just view it as a personal detail.
If I were a member of the group, I might prefer to let people who want to know more about me as a person to find out, but not encourage people who were crusing through the Babyfurs category looking for people to mess with. I'd also rather not have us remove everything that could suggest the association just to satisfy the wish of not being categorized. --GreenReaper(talk) 22:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Cats[edit]

Hey! Mind if your image of yourself in Cats-esque costume is used in the Cats article as an illustrative example photo? I'd like to add it there but wanted to ask first :) MelSkunk 23:06, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Why, I'd be honored. =3 There are a few others floating around on FWA-goer sites, but it's probably just easiest to use an already-uploaded picture. ^^ Spaz Kitty

Recent Changes Error?[edit]

Recent changes has the following line in it: "Below are the last 50 changes in the last 7 days, as of $3." I don't think the $3 is intentional, is it? Spaz Kitty

No, you're right - there's been something up with recent changes since the most recent upgrade. There's a bug filed for it on Wikia, it's just rather low-priority right now, especially since it's probably something that will have to be fixed in the main MediaWiki source code tree anyway. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:28, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Your reversion of recent vandalism[edit]

Thank you for your help in holding off that vandal until Sine was able to ban them. It is appreciated. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 21:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks from me as well, as he/she/it targetted my own talk page.  :) --Chibiabos 05:24, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Whoa, I can't believe what some people will do/say on the internet!! - RVDDP2501 01:02, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Deletion of Krystin pic[edit]

Listen, thanks a whole lot for removing the nude pic of Krystin, I got an e-mail from Shawntae Howard saying he would prefer I not use that pic of Krystin due to it being so mature, he said he would send me another one to use in time, so until then, I uploaded another version of the same pic only now with a black bar covering her chest, ok, thank you so much for nemoving those pics, I couldn/t figure out how to do it. (God, I hope I haven't pissed him off) - RVDDP2501 21:46, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I only posted a notice about it being a duplicate - GreenReaper was the one who actually deleted the picture. ^^ Spaz Kitty

oh sorry about that, I did not know that but any way thanks for causing the pic to be deleted (yes, that sounds funny but you understand, right?) - RVDDP2501 21:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Ah man, I'm sorry about that, I didn't see that, I checked the pic back on her (Krystin) page and it was still uncensored, damn, I am sorry about all the trouble cause, I'm am still trying to understand some aspects of sites like wikipedia & wikifur, once more, sorry - RVDDP2501 22:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

thanks, listen I spoke with some of my friends about what happened and they told me strongly that I should use a head shot until I get something more "friendly" so I uploaded a head shot, is this ok with you? - RVDDP2501 11:06, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

You're asking the wrong person. I'm not an admin here, heh. Check with GreenReaper or another admin about it - though I'm sure there won't be any issues. Spaz Kitty 20:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Extinctioners[edit]

Thank you, Spaz Kitty, I truely appreciate what you said, thank you.

P.S. if you need any help, ideas, opinions, etc. I will galdly try and help, thanks - RVDDP2501 21:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Code error, etc.[edit]

Couple of things...One, on both the WikiFur homepage and your talk page, <div style="clear:both"/> appears. Two, Talk:SCHLITZER is a leftover from the Crabs crabs crabs! x 50 vandal that previously redirected to my talk page - not sure if you saw that all the way back in recent changes (I've been boredly busy today XD). Spaz Kitty 02:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

I've had a chat with the Wikia admins and this is a temporary error in the MediaWiki version that they are testing. I've replaced it with the equivalent (but working) <div style"clear:both"></div> in those two places. If there are other pages affected, they should be fixed after the testing concludes. It looks like Sine got the other problem. --GreenReaper(talk) 03:38, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Dead Article Skeet Shooting[edit]

Lol, you send 'em up.. I shoot 'em down. :) Nice work... awesome. -- DeVandalizer 08:22, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Haha. XD Good work, partner. Spaz Kitty 08:24, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to WikiFur:Administrators![edit]

Thanks for your help with the recent vandals. You should have a little more power to deal with those things, I think. Check out the above link for more information on how to use it. Welcome to the crew. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 01:55, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations, Spaz Kitty! I had a feeling it was just a matter of time--you've been doing a lot. -- Sine 01:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! I'll be sure to start studying up right away. =3 Spaz Kitty 01:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
You deserve it, keep up the good work - RVDDP2501 02:07, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Just a hint: You can go to Special:Preferences to the Editing tab and select x Mark edits I make as patrolled. This will remove the little exclamation point from your edits on recent changes. Patrolled edits (when locked on admin only, such as on WikiFur) are a way of insuring that every edit will be viewed by at least one administrator. However, most administrators here don't need their own edits patrolled *grin*. See m:Help:Patrolled_edit for more general info. --Splarka (talk) 06:20, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Ah, thank you. I was hoping I wouldn't have to click the little link up in the corner every time I edited. >.< Spaz Kitty 06:22, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
I've taken the liberty of marking (almost) all your edits for the last few days as patrolled (I cheated though). --Splarka (talk) 06:51, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations :D, Glad to see you have become an admin. I look forward to working with you to improve the wiki. -- DeVandalizer 05:21, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Extinctioners[edit]

Thank you so very much for dealing with that vandalism for me, I appreciate all that you have done, please, keep up the good work, thank you - RVDDP2501 11:34, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

thank you[edit]

thanks for the kind message on my talk page :) Whopper 05:24, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Easy on the trigger finger, there![edit]

I just restored Morwa Lugis DragonCrypt; it does actually have some furry content since the animations are about animal-human transformations (tf). On a more important note, it looks like you added a SpeedyDelete at 22:00 last night, then deleted it at 22:45. Please remember that, in WikiFur terms, "speedy" is a relative thing. There is very rarely a need for anything to happen RIGHT NOW; if you put a SpeedyDelete template on an article, I usually give it at least 24 hours if not 48 or 72 hours for others to comment and agree or disagree on the SpD. If no one comments in that time, or if there's agreement, off it goes! ----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 12:38, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

I only deleted that one so quickly because I honestly thought it had nothing specifically to do with furry more than any other video editing software did (such as Photoshop isn't added even though most furry artists use it), as well as the fact that it was poorly written. Spaz Kitty 20:49, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

RFAI[edit]

I decided to change this page as a Redirect to Raven Corr instead of deleting, so people would be sent from RFAI to the page where the information was moved to. --Rat 22:58, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Sounds good. I didn't even think of setting it as a redirect. Thanks. ^^ Spaz Kitty 23:01, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

User page fix (maybe).[edit]

Just a note: I was unable to to mark one of your old edits to your user page as patrolled, because your page history was split during some move vandalism (and left in the deleted history of this page). I've merged the histories and undeleted all the non-vandalism edits (you can restore the vandalism edits via undelete if you want, some people like to show those edits for some crazy reason ^_^). Lemme know if I broke anything. Also, the history of your page might show the old pre-merge version due to cache, just reload a few times. --Splarka (talk) 23:29, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Red Alert[edit]

I suggest we go into a temporary lockdown 4chan got an invasion monger on the lose and they targeting us

We're fully aware of the thread, thanks. I think we can handle a few 4chan vandals. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 01:49, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for response I work to be a sentinal--Zelinko(talk)

From Talk:Revenant[edit]

Moving this here since the issues addressed are a little more general than the specific article

I originally deleted this page under criteria #5 for speedy deletion:

Very short articles providing little or no context (e.g., "He is a funny man that has created Factory and the Hacienda. And, by the way, his wife is great."). Limited content is not in itself a reason to delete if there is enough context to allow expansion.

The article's original content was: "Revenant or rev for short is a furry my the name of justin who lives in cary NC u may have seen him at the last con walkin around if u know him". Searching for "revenant furry" revealed a user at VGCats named Revenant - but they lived in Ontario, Canada - and nothing else.

Spaz Kitty 23:12, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

I guess the question is how you define "limited context." For my part, I would consider even one fact that differentiates them from (for example) the Revenant who lives in Ontario to provide sufficient context to allow for expansion.
Perhaps it's a question of interpretation. So I can see where you're coming from, what would you consider adequate context before an article should be left as a stub? (As a side note, I think stuff like this would fall under the proposed Proposed deletion policy) ----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 12:29, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Internet Room[edit]

Could you please re-capitalize "Internet Room" on the Anthrocon related articles? I can't speak for outside of Anthrocon, but in the context of Anthrocon, "Internet Room" is considered a proper noun. (example). Thanks, --Douglas Muth 22:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Done. Spaz Kitty 22:34, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Works for me, thanks. --Douglas Muth 22:47, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Tanabi/Kopa[edit]

I posted my references (including a book where the first couple of paragraphs blatantly describe Kopa as Simba and Nala's cub) for Kopa being a more canonical version of Tanabi on Talk:Tanabi. Spaz Kitty 03:24, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm... I'm still doubtful the most recent changes (both to Tanabi and Kiara) are the best or most accurate way to present the material, but I don't want to get into an editing war over it either. The feeling I get from the current version is as if it is trying to describe two separete characters as if they were the same character. Would you be agreeable to creating a separate article for Kopa? I'm also thinking the "Who was the cub?" section of Kiara might ought to be broken out into its own article, though we'd have to figure out what to call it and how to categorize it. --mwalimu 13:12, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
But in some respects, Tanabi and Kopa are the same character. They're both names for the cub at the end of TLK1, as Tanabi was the fan-name used for him before the book with Kopa in it was released. Spaz Kitty 02:20, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Most TLK fans I knew when I was involved in the fandom would disagree with that. By that argument, Kiara is also the same character, and she has her own article. --mwalimu 12:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
All right, I separated Tanabi and Kopa into two different articles, each with a "See also" link to the other. Spaz Kitty 12:26, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. When I get a little more time today I'll separate out the "Who was the cub?" from Kiara into it's own article. --mwalimu 12:36, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I've finished an initial attempt at edits to The Lion King/Who was the cub? and some cleanup to Tanabi, as well as minor edits to Kopa and Kiara, that I hope covers all the bases. Please take a look and see if you think everything looks okay. I haven't made any changes to The Lion King or Simba's Pride (at least not yet) but some may be in order. --mwalimu 23:41, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Username Weirdness[edit]

Hi - I registered as Discopika a couple of days ago, having been unable to register under my usual username of slideyfoot due to the IP being banned (as per User_talk:88.106.128.0/17). However, when I do the four tildes things, its signing me as 'slideyfoot' rather than 'discopika', which is kinda strange. I don't especially mind, but was wondering if this was indicative of some other problem, like I've accidentally registered twice? Thanks. slideyfoot 16:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

It's no problem, you just need to click the "preferences" link in the upper right hand corner and change your nickname that's listed there. --Douglas Muth 17:08, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Today's vandal[edit]

Heh. Blocked in two minutes, fully reverted in four minutes. Really nice work! ----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 19:29, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. =3 Spaz Kitty 19:34, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Extinctioners Pics[edit]

Hey SpazKitty, RVDDP2501 here, how are you by the way, listen, I just wanted to confirm with you the reason a few Extinctioners character pic are being concidered for deletion is due to the fact they are are not in use because more recent/better pics are in ther place, is this correct? Please, don't think I'm trying to prevent their deletion, I just wanted to know if that was in fact the reason, I want to help/aid in any way to make things easier/better and I'm sorry to cause trouble with excess pics for those characters - RVDDP2501 23:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

That is correct. They are being considered for deletion because better (in this case, colored) pictures are being used instead. Spaz Kitty 23:25, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick reply, I appreciate your efforts to make the Extinctioners Page(s) I've made better and I'm sorry for the excess pics, ok - RVDDP2501 23:28, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Stubs versus cleanup[edit]

When dealing with articles like SliderCon, consider tagging them as stubs rather than cleanup, if it's appropriate. --Rat 05:16, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

User talk control question[edit]

Do I need to go through some process to delete an ugly thread (and not have it reverted) from my own user talk page or can I just delete it and have it stay deleted? --Chibiabos 04:07, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Well, you could archive the page to have it removed from your main talk space, but as for removing it completely, you'd have to check with GreenReaper. Spaz Kitty 04:12, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Jason A. lockout[edit]

Does this mean we couldn't mention what he did in, say, the African Legends MUCK entry? --Chibiabos 22:06, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

The contents of his article were agreed to be moved to Akida. Spaz Kitty 22:07, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

The Hundred and One Dalmatians[edit]

Ack, what a repeated mistake I managed there! Thank you for correcting it. -- Sine 22:50, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
