Edit summaries[edit]
Hi Skibit. The point of the edit summary is to explain to other editors who're reviewing the page history or recent changes the purpose of your edit (as opposed to what you did, which we can see with the diff tool). If you put "edit" all the time, it's no more helpful than if you don't put anything, which is why we have the requirement to put something in the first place. ;-)
If you didn't make a significant change, it should still be possible to say "grammar" or "link fix", etc., and to mark it as a minor edit. It's a little more work, but it means other editors have to spend less time looking reviewing it. (Also, "show preview" is your friend!) --GreenReaper(talk) 23:58, 11 March 2015 (EDT)
