Trying to Be a Good Neighbour[edit]

Ken, you said my "Byron on Wells" page needed cleanup so it is not merely the author shilling his book. I came to this site originally to contact you because I am a fan of yours. While here I saw that my "Chronicles of the Pridelands" was featured with its own page, and, being touched, I decided to add a page for my much more ambitious work. Once, long ago, I was an editor on Wikipedia. I can see that I'm clearly outclassed here. If some kind people would just help me A LITTLE I'll try to be a generous, patient and helpful netizen the way I'm currently viewed on narniafans.com and lionking.org. I'm a newbie with regards to wiki but as a 47 year old youth counselor and educator who surfed the web BEFORE it was the web, I'm not a 12 year old lad using his Christmas present to get on the net and spread n00by to the five corners of the Earth (they recently discovered a new one in Lancestershire).

Wow, I don't think I've ever had a fan before. :) It takes time to get used to Wiki, but any admin will be glad to help out. I put the cleanup there because to me it looked like an advertisement for a book rather than a neutral informative article on the book. Oftentimes those kinda of articles are written by the author in an attempt to sell their book. If you would like help, go on here and it should help. It's really no different from Wikipedia.--Kendricks Redtail 18:44, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
That's where I can set everyone's mind at rest. I'm not selling my book, it's released for free use (though not for plagiarism!), and there are no ads on the site. As for fandom, it's like this--I saw THE FOX BOX on Second Life, and the place seemed to radiate love and fun. It's my favorite place to hang out, I've tipped the jar more than once, and I kept wondering why you never answered my IMs till I saw you had not logged in IN SIX MONTHS. Wow. Someone must be paying the bills, hmm? Anyhow I fell in love the place...so I read your profile. There are a lot of things about you that made me nod my head and feel good inside. Don't be surprised to find there are people out there that like you for who and what you are. We all have them. The trick is to find them. You found one of yours. That's...pretty much it.--Tookie 23:39, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Road Runner[edit]

You don't have to put both tags in. One or the other will do. --Rat 02:02, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Kiralea[edit]

"Also, why is this under the title Kiralea and no mention of that name is made anywhere?" Because User:Rapture had created Kiralea with the content "WIP" and had blanked Rapytur and set it as a redirect to said page. See User talk:Rapture. (Also, may I suggest archiving your talk page sometime soon? It's getting a little long. =3) Spaz Kitty 20:26, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Beast: panel or cover?[edit]

About the Image:XBeast.jpg that you uploaded with the comic-panel tag. Are you sure it isn't the cover of New X-Men #117 (2001 series)? --EarthFurst 01:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

TOC placement[edit]

What's with that? It looks bad. It bunches up with the text instead of being separate. Deafleas 09:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Trying to remove whitespace. Do you have better suggestions?--Kendricks Redtail 15:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Why do you consider whitespace bad? Unless it's a newspaper, it can be considered a good thing. Deafleas 08:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
As a former journalist, it just rakes with me. Whitespace can be distracting and too much of it can cause a person to lose interest in the rest of the article.--Kendricks Redtail 15:38, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The web is not print media; we are not pressed for space are confined by the size of the print medium. Whitespace can be used to guide the eye. A page with no whitespace looks busy, cramped, and unappealing. This might be a good reference to look over.----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 15:48, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
It might also be nice if Wikifur had a background that wasn't purely white. Perhaps a soft color. I can't say for sure what, but something would be quite nice. Deafleas 03:08, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Kat the Leopardess[edit]

Reply from RVDDP2501[edit]

Hey Kendricks, I just recieved your message, how's things, yeah, I honestly have to say I haven't read much of Ex myself, little piece here and there, I have noticed the same thing you mentioned in regards to the differences in spelling of the word "Keeper", since the main portion of the info was from Shawntae's character pages/info given on those characters plus my lack of knowledge, I wasn't too sure what it was about, I was hoping someone who had better knowledge pertaining to that fact would come along and fix it (if it needed fixing), I will try and get in touch with some people I know who might be able to shed some light on this matter soon. Nice talking to you - RVDDP2501 01:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Aerusales[edit]

Using admin rollback[edit]

When you're reverting an edit made in good faith, try not to use admin rollback, and leave an edit summary. Help the user understand why you're reverting. --Rat 05:21, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Reverting me on The Werelist[edit]

What was that about? - cchristian talk

Just cleaning stuff up there. You weren't reverted. Just cleaning up the tone to making it sound more neutral and encyclopedic. The article sounded so defensive. Imagine reading an article in the encyclopedia about Bush 50 years from now and it's saying People thought his war in Iraq was about oil, but what Bush was really after was blah blah blah. I appreciate you laying out the facts and those were left in, but leave it as the facts. I'm not really sure what I can say more.--Kendricks Redtail 04:24, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

re: Language: Part 2[edit]

um... what are you talking about? I haven't posted there for days... (and he was the last person to say anything) I haven't been on Wikia for a while!

I don't remember calling him any names lately... I thought I was being civil... Maybe instead of explaining that it's not "Faschist adminship" you should tell me what I said, and what was innapropriate about it? (I also didn't know you banned me the first time, probably because that's when I left WikiFur...) - cchristian talk

Regarding Unbirth edit[edit]

I'd like you to reconsider the changes you made to the unbirth article.

Another variant on this is males absorbing others (generally other males) as a form of male pregnancy. This is known as cock vore amd often involves Hypertrophilia and/or Macrophilia.

While cock vore may indeed by used toward this end, it is not the only route one could take, and the way this passage is phrased right now is simply incorrect. It's better to leave the article as it was: not nailing anything down too tightly, since everyone has a different way of doing things. Please rephrase or remove your addition and correct your typos. --Anima 20:24, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

If you think it's wrong, why not fix it yourself? This is a wiki, not a series of personal essays. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 00:19, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Aha. I see you did later. Cool. --GreenReaper(talk) 00:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Actually I haven't changed the part I was referring to, yet. I know I don't like having my additions simply deleted (though whether I 'like' it or not doesn't matter if it's wrong) but I thought I'd give them a chance to fix it if they liked instead of doing a drive-by edit. I did correct the typos though. --Anima 03:41, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
As GR put it, if you see a problem or an error, feel free to correct it. I most certainly am the least expert on this topic, I was merely merging the cock vore article into this one because of the synonymous definitions provided. I have offered no new content in the merge, so what information you see is what had already been provided. If you want to discuss the actual subject matter, please fell free to move this discussion to Talk:Unbirth--Kendricks Redtail 04:09, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Seriously, use edit summaries[edit]

This has been requested of you several times in the past. Please re-read GreenReaper's post on the matter. I also recommend following Bogglerat's suggestion in that post for changing your settings to prevent you from inadvertently committing an edit with the summary page blank. Thanks.----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 13:13, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't think I knew this feature existed, but I've got it turned on now! I tend to not put edit summaries if it's fairly obvious what I did or if it's a minor correction, but I can make a more concerted effort to pay attention. Sorry, Duncan! :)-Kendricks Redtail 05:22, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank You[edit]

i'm greatful for your help, thank you for cleaning up my artical

Thanks for fixing up the link, looks better. I was pretty harried today when I put it in. Matthew Joseph Harrington 05:10, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

About the category revert for the "Foxee" Article[edit]

I looked into the Furry Book of Style guidelines about the rules for listing articles in both categories and subcategories, and it turns out that on this Wiki your taking Foxee out of the "Fox characters" category was the correct thing to do. My apologies for reverting your change that one time-- I didn't realize that I was in error.
