As I don't think anyone's done it yet, welcome to WikiFur! Thanks for telling us a bit about yourself - let me know if you need any help not already provided. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 17:10, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks...the first "welcome" I got was from some jerk who added this quote I made on LJ to my info page, and I've kept removing it, though they keep putting it back, as though they have some vendetta gainst me. -Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland

GreenReaper removed the duplicate article from your userspace and added the contributor tag. Anyone seeing your userpage can click this to see the article. That's why I reverted. ;) Spaz Kitty 18:13, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh, sorry, what's the purpose of my userspace?

It's generally a less-formal place for you to write whatever - but with the contributor template, it also contains a link to your real article, so there's not really a need for the article to be in three places, since anyone searching for Duke Otterland or Otterland is going to go directly to the article anyway. Spaz Kitty 18:15, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I was wondering what I can do about trolls at Encyclopedia Dramatica that have posted an inflammatory article about me by using art without my permission. Thanks. Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland

You should submit a DMCA request to Girlvynl, who is in charge of the website. State that you are the legal copyright holder, that the use is unauthorized by you, the specific location of the image(s) - click the image to get to the image page URL - and request their removal. Be aware that they might well publish whatever information you give to them. --GreenReaper(talk) 15:28, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

The form doesn't work, though I have tried IMing her. -Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland

It had an email address at the top, too. Of course, you could look her up on the site itself, although that might not be the best idea. --GreenReaper(talk) 16:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

I tried contacting them though I got a response that they denied my request because "I don't exist". Please help me if you can. Thanks. -Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland

OK, so talk to jeff@dreamhost.com, the DMCA contact for ED's hosting company. You could forward him the reply you got, perhaps, with an explanation of the situation. --GreenReaper(talk) 00:53, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Look, there was absolutely no excuse for what I did in Harli's LJ. I was a complete jerk who grossly overreacted to a post that wasn't even remotely offensive, and completely regret the day I said what I did then. If I could go back in time and prevent myself from saying that, I would gladly do so. I don't want what is posted to Encyclopedia Dramatica blackball me for the rest of my life when I look for a job one day, as I have done my online writing and art only under my pseudonym. So if any of you know anything I can do to get that ED article toned down or removed entirely, please help me. Thanks. --Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland 20:07, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

CYOC[edit]

Hi I read www.cyoc.net/stories/chapter_view.php?chapter_id=27053

Can you explain the autistic thing to me plus the really angry pro-George Bush thing? The other parts I get. Tretonin 14:24, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

I can't figure it out either, but these logs might help you understand his mindset. --Douglas Muth 15:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Leave me alone.--Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland 14:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I'm deleting the CYOC link. It's pure trolling, and I don't think it is a good addition to the article. ----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 15:45, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Harassment from ED[edit]

Yes, someone from Encyclopedia Dramatica hacked into my LiveJournal account and I'm wondering how I can fight them. I've tried talking to their admins on IRC, but frankly, they're complete idiots.--Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland 15:28, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, you need to change your LJ password, and report it to LJ staff, simple as that. and I doubt that the ED admins will do anything but give the guy an award, it's similar with #Uncyc and the cross IRC channel trolling, unless it's threatening the home channel, nothing is going to happen. - cchristian talk
oh, and no one is lewking at this in your talk, try the IRC or the forum —The preceding unsigned comment was added by cchristianTehWazzit (talkcontribs) .
Its not that they are idiots, they just dont care. Troll from ED 04:20, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
well, I can't get them to knock it off, and it's not big enough for me to threaten legal action against them (because what they did was illegal). I would just ignore it, no one cares anyway...  ; )
on another note, have you fixed the password yet? - cchristian talk
Whatever problems you have with Encyclopedia Dramatica are between you and them. Please leave us out of this.
If you feel that they have violated any laws, I suggest that you contact a legal professional for assistance. --Douglas Muth 19:02, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Apology[edit]

Look, everyone, there was absolutely no excuse whatsoever for my behavior in the world of LiveJournal, for saying that people like Harli Raver, liberals, and gays belong in concentration camps, for saying that MoveOn is retarded, and so forth, and I do sincerely apologize. However, I believe that posting my personal information and Friends-only posts I made in LiveJournal is wrong as well and that it all be promptly removed. Thank you.--Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland 14:58, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Please do not blank articles.[edit]

Please do not blank articles. This includes talk pages. --Douglas Muth 17:44, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Please do not remove sections from articles, either. Especially when said sections are cited with references. It really makes it look like you are trying to suppress criticism, which will not go over well here. If you have a complaint about something that is mentioned in either article, please leave a message on the talk page. --Douglas Muth 17:54, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
