Hi Fibonacci - welcome to WikiFur! Hope you have a good time here - we're pretty much the same as Wikipedia on most things, including NPOV (perhaps a tad more positive in tone). The main difference is that we allow "vanity pages" for people, so feel free to write about yourself on an article page in the main namespace.

Check out our Community Central for more info, and let me know if you have any questions. Again, welcome! :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 05:33, 10 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Fredryk Phox[edit]

The "Anti-Fur" video is Fredryk Phox. The guy who uploaded it is not - /he/ is the one saying he's not Phox (if you click the image where it says this, it goes to his profile as well). WasteofTime.com has this video listed as well under Fredryk Phox. Spaz Kitty 11:45, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

/index.php?[edit]

Thanks for spotting that redirect problem - you're right that fullurl should have been used, but I've also fixed our .htaccess files so it shouldn't happen again. --GreenReaper(talk) 02:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Of course, that won't be necessary when the move is complete - in fact I think it will have to be undone then. So was it really necessary? --Fibonacci 03:54, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe not, but I said it would work before and after the move, and I like to keep my promises about such things. Plus, it only took a few minutes. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 08:47, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

SVG[edit]

What version of ImageMagick is installed on the WikiFur servers? I just tried to rasterize http://pool.wikifur.com/wiki/Image:Flag_of_Argentina.svg locally with ImageMagick 6.3.7 and it works like a charm. --Fibonacci 03:52, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Version: ImageMagick 6.4.4 2008-10-21 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2008 ImageMagick Studio LLC. --GreenReaper(talk) 11:05, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Turns out my local install of ImageMagick was using the rsvg libraries. So that's the reason the conversion worked fine.
I just tried a locally-compiled version on some flags, and found that most do not render correctly (except very simple ones, such as the flag of Italy). Should I upload correctly-rendered PNG flags instead of the SVG files? --Fibonacci 02:35, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Would probably be the easiest solution. Rendered versions can be lifted from Wikipedia's previews. --GreenReaper(talk) 02:55, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
