Hello, Cheetah - welcome to WikiFur! Thanks for helping out with the Euroference article. Let me know if you need any help not already provided. :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 23:30, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

now, if only I could spell Eurofurence properly . . . *sighs* --GreenReaper(talk) 23:38, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Hi there :) Yeah, and my first edit is a political topic, too ... *sigh* Let's hope that unci doesn't turn this into some stupid edit war about his personal political agenda. He's been haunting us with this "But I named a font after EF, I demand that EF be run the way I want it, but no, I won't join the commitee, and no, I won't attend either. Yaddayaddayadda" for almost 8 years now. What happened to the days when the fandom wasn't political? *sigh*
Alas, I believe politics happens whenever more than two people are involved. :-) Given unci's existing record of good contributions, I'm sure we can work together to find a solution which everyone can live with, for the WikiFur articles at least. I think having two separate articles for the topics works well enough for now. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:01, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)
I'm perfectly happy with the new solution and seperate articles for the font and the convention. It's also much closer representing things like they really are, and not so much an individuals ideologic wishes :) --Cheetah 01:08, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)
If people are talking about me on their own talk pages, I hope I can add something to clarify. I don't care how the convention is run, as long as it's in Europe and has enough capacity that all furries are welcome, it can be named EuroFurence. As one of those who started it all (together with Tes-Tui-H'ar who provided the location and actually deserves most credit for starting EuroFurence) I think that it wouldn't be right if the term was monopolized by any individual or organisation - it should be free for anyone to use. I currently have no interest in going there, but that's no political agenda, I just like the smaller, more personal cons/furmeets better. Regarding the articles in wikifur, they should be neutral, so I'm happy for any edits by someone unrelated with the founders or organisers. (How about ordinary con-goers?) - Unci 11:29, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Sorry if I wasn't clear enough: My ego doesn't matter here. I don't care who runs what con and in what way. Sometimes I wish I had never become involved with furry conventions at all .... But as you say below, it's ours, so if I stated that I had nothing to do with it, that wouldn't be right either. For the time being, my involvement with big conventions is history, and I'm perfectly happy holding or attending a small furmeet now and then.
Reply to the above comment of 14 Nov: I'm not participating in edit wars. If some points on a page are debated, it's best to move them to the talk page where it's not necessary to be the same opinion, and leave in what everyone can agree on. (If it's important to the matter, the conflict can be mentioned on the main page and both sides presented in a neutral way. But that's not the case for EuroFurence, most of those interested in the articles don't care for what we're discussing here, so it's best not to have any mention in the article. Let's not pretend to be more important than we are.)
And that's all that I have to say on the matter. This comment is deliberately placed non-chronologically to leave the last word to the "owner" of this page. Subject closed from my side. -- Unci 17:49, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Unci, if you want your opinion to matter, take responsibility. There is no such thing as "influence but no responsibility". Become a Member of Eurofurence e.V.. It's democratic. Every furry can join, the statues and the law guarantee it. Take part in running the con. That makes your opinion matter. Right now, you're just bitching. Stating that you don't care about EF, but still using it to boost your ego, disqualifies your criticisn. I don't care what your personal convention preferences are. Nobody does. Mind your own business. Run your own con, if you will. Just don't meddle with ours. I don't understand why you're so obsessed with the name of something you supposedly don't care about any more.

Image:Dopecrew.jpg[edit]

Hello Cheetah,

This is in regards to Image:Dopecrew.jpg. It has not been tagged with a copyright status. This can be a complicated area, so I can try to help if you need any. The Wikipedia Image use policy may give some background, but it isn't policy here.

To deal with this image, there are a few choices:

  • If you are the copyright holder, release it under a free license, for example:
  • If you are asserting that this image is usable under fair use, add an appropriate fair use tag. A very basic summary is that fair use is used for commentary, criticism and review on the image when no free image could be used instead. Some fair use tags are:
    • Logos: {{logo}}
    • Covers: {{Cover}}
    • Comic panels: {{Comic-panel}}
  • If the image is already under a free license, provide information on the license, and tag the image if you can.
  • If you would like the image to be deleted, ask any administrator

To see a list of current copyright tags available on WikiFur, see Category:Image copyright tags If the copyright status is not resolved, the image may be deleted.

Unless you have a question for me specifically, I'd prefer responses on the page for the image. --Rat 08:01, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
