Trueblood's Plight

Trueblood's Plight is a 2011 fantasy novel by E. S. Lark. The main character, Ava, is "a Trueblood - a giphen who can use all forms of magic".[1] Giphens are "about 1/3 the size of their larger Gryphon cousins".[2]
The cover artwork is by Kristen Buchner.[3]
Like The Black Gryphon by Mercedes Lackey, Trueblood's Plight opens with the main character flying to scout an enemy camp.
