The Fox Cub Bold is a novel by Colin Dann, and is the fourth in The Animals of Farthing Wood book series. Illustrated by Terry Riley, it was first published in 1983, by Hutchinson's Children's Books. It was published in a Beaver edition by Arrow Books in 1984, reprinted in 1985 and 1987, with the ISBN 0099375206.[1]

The novel is fourth in the Farthing Wood series, and follows off the storyline of Fox's Feud. Bold, one of Fox and Vixen's four cubs born to them in the previous novel, has disagreements with his parents at the end of the feud between Fox and Scarface. Bold leaves White Deer Park in search of life in the wild.

This is the first and only Farthing Wood novel that does not center on the Farthing Wood animals as a whole.
