The Ferret Chronicles is a series of novellas written by American author Richard Bach and published in 2002-2003. The stories mostly expound upon the world of anthropomorphized ferrets which is not usually seen by human eyes.

Air Ferrets Aloft (2002; Scribner, ISBN 0-7432-2753-0) is a comedic love story about two cargo pilots, Stormy Ferret and Strobe Ferret, who can't seem to perfect their plan to meet during a series of flights between California and Seattle.

Rescue Ferrets at Sea[edit]

Rescue Ferrets at Sea (2002; Scribner, ISBN 0-7432-2750-6), which shows a journalist covering the lives and experiences of the Rescue Ferrets who act as a non-human Coast Guard, was awarded the 2003 Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Novel.

Writer Ferrets: Chasing the Muse[edit]

Writer Ferrets: Chasing the Muse (2002; Scribner, ISBN 0-7432-2754-9), covers the experiences of Budgeron Ferret and his mate, Danielle, as they each write bestselling novels for highly-divergent markets and then take a book tour together.

Rancher Ferrets on the Range[edit]

Rancher Ferrets on the Range (2003; Scribner, ISBN 0-7432-2755-7) shows how Monty Ferret tries to help himself and others while his childhood love, Cheyenne, goes to Hollywood to become an actress, and how they eventually end up back in each others' arms.

The Last War[edit]

The Last War: Detective Ferrets and the Case of the Golden Deed (2003; Scribner, ISBN 0-7432-2756-5) is the most recent novella published in the series, and covers the struggle of female detective Shamrock Ferret to solve the mystery of a ferret civilization in a parallel dimension.

Curious Lives[edit]

Curious Lives: Adventures from the Ferret Chronicles (2005; Hampton Roads Publishing Company, ISBN 1-57174-457-6) is a collection of the above five novellas, with changes to the titles, into one volume.
