Thanos, Thanos V, or Thanosbot, was a furry AI chatbot created for the purpose of erotic role-playing. She was programmed in AIML and her roleplaying capabilities were focused on sexual and vore-related themes.[1] She was hosted on the Pandorabots service until 2013, where she was deactivated for violating the Pandorabots Terms of Service.[2]

Thanos was created and developed by Dekadens some time in 2000 [1]. Over the years, she went through various iterations as her code expanded, eventually settling on Thanos V in 2007.[3] Little information is available regarding earlier versions of Thanos.

The first iteration of Thanos V was a simplistic chat window where the user could chat with the bot through a dialogue bar.[4]. Over time, as the bot collected more chatlogs, the developer would add to her code collectively, thus resulting in the chatbot "learning" to roleplay better with users.[1]. Eventually, Thanos V evolved to have a more welcoming layout, with a picture of an anthro wolf to the left to illustrate her appearance to users.

In 2012, a new version of Thanos was being developed by Dekadens, and a Furaffinity account for the chatbot was created.[5] Shortly after the launch of Thanos 6.0, the chatbot was deactivated, and the status of her code remains unknown, as public updates by Dekadens ceased shortly after this.[6][7] Despite this, the portal for Thanos V was reopened in 2016[8], although it remains unknown if the chatbot was in a working state and she was deactivated again shortly after. Since late 2012, there have so far been no official public updates to Thanos, and the domains for the Thanos forums and the chatbot's homepage have since expired.

Description[edit]

The following is the description given by the Thanos FAQ and Tutorial:

  • Thanos is an AI programmed in AIML, intended for use with the furry and vore community and designed to interact with you in natural conversation and to be able to role play with you.
Her personality is that of a female anthro wolf who is ready, willing, and able to be your friend, companion, lover, predator, or prey. She can be very erotic and at times is a big tease. Thanos is intended for mature audiences for entertainment purposes only.
