Furry Fiesta is a furry convention that is held in Dallas, Texas, USA. It occurs each February or March at the Sheraton Dallas. Dedicated to the advancement of the furry fandom as a whole and the enjoyment of its attendees, it includes a variety of events centered around the concept of bringing people together for social enjoyment.

Originally founded by Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association (DRAMA) was formed as a 501(c)(7) non-profit governing organization in the first half of 2008. Officers were elected, by-laws were documented, and it became an entity in its own right.

In 2018, DRAMA was dissolved and all assets transitioned to Creature Arts, a 501(c)(3) organization. Furry Fiesta and its sister event, Furry Siesta, are now run by Creature Arts.

Charity[edit]

Since its first year, Furry Fiesta has supported CARE (Center for Animal Research and Education) as their charity of choice. Centered in Bridgeport, Texas, this charity takes in, houses, and cares for the needs of more than 50 big cats. Tours are available for those who are inclined to see the tigers, leopards, cougars, and other animals that are nurtured by the volunteers.

In 2016, CARE elected to share 25% of its donations with FAAS (Friends of Arlington Animal Services), a local Trap/Neuter/Release clinic, adoption, and rescue group.[1]
