Template talk:Protected-Personal

My impression is that we are no longer providing this option. I've noticed that those articles which are restricted in this way tend to be in need of cleanup. -- Sine 00:09, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- We are indeed no longer providing this option. I'm unsure about taking it away for situations where it has already been used. --GreenReaper(talk) 00:44, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- Going by the what includes this template list, there are a few articles restricted in this way. I feel we should either protect-exclude them entirely, or remove the protection, perhaps after consultation with the subject of the article. -- Sine 23:39, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. --Rat 23:43, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

- My inclination is to switch the {{protected-personal}} articles over to {{protected-excluded}}. There are only a few articles still using the outdated {{protected-personal}} state, and if the subjects of them are still around, and want to have an article here, they can always request un-exclusion.--Higgs Raccoon 20:23, 19 November 2012 (EST)
- So be it. --GreenReaper(talk) 15:01, 20 November 2012 (EST)
