Template talk:Cleanup

I think we should reword this and focus on articles needing to match our format and style here, rather than be of "higher quality". Cleaning up articles does mean improving the quality of them, but I think there's a better way to word this template, with strong consideration of how frequently it is put on newly-created articles, often on users' first contributions. -- Sine 05:40, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

It needs a space for people to put why they put it there (new users won't always know to look at the edit summary in the history). Having a cleanup tag with no suggestion can be depressing when you don't know what to do. I think that if someone is willing to bother to put it on an article, they should at least try to identify what the problem is, and perhaps place a longer note on the talk page. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:45, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
What about a note in the template to see the talk page and article history / recent edit summaries? Except in extra-startlingly-very-messy cases, when I put the cleanup template on an article, I give some indication of why in the edit summary. -- Sine 03:55, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
