Tau (full name: Tau Akhera) is a musician, singer, and actor in the fandom from West Virginia whose fursona is an Barbary Lion. He is most prominently seen through Lion King-inspired artwork, primarily on deviantART. He also takes part in roleplaying on several message boards and chats concerning anthros and African animals.
A well known act of Tau's within the fandom has been appearing as Captain Jack Sparrow at various conventions and venues, such as Anthrocon 2007 , 2008 and 2010, Midwest FurFest 2007 , FWA 2009 and the Funday Pawpet Show.
His experience as a stage performer have landed him gigs with such employers as the Walt Disney Company and NBC Universal.
