Tanamin Wingate (born May 15, 1970)[1] is a furry artist who lives in Fresno, California, U.S.A.[1] His fursona is a black unicorn.[2]

Tanamin was born in Gold Beach, Oregon, U.S.A.[1] He has been active in the furry art community since 1990, when he played the first black unicorn character ever on FurryMUCK.[1]

Tanamin moved to California in 1994, where he began an apprenticeship under master machinist and movie prop maker Ed Kline and his assistant Kishma Danielle, from whom he learnt machining, art, and costuming. The three of them, along with house-mate Ben Camacho, were Guests of Honor at Further Confusion in 1999.

Tanamin's art has featured in Fornax Remix, Fornax: You Don't Believe, Gallery issues 29-35, and the A Study in Black and White series.

In 2002, Tanamin started an online comic strip called Unicornography.[1] The strip was nominated for the Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Comic Strip in 2003, losing to Kevin and Kell.
