Tamberlane is a webcomic created by Pixel Prism, which first began on June 12, 2016.[1] It usually updates every Wednesday. It won the 2023 Ursa Major Award for Best Graphic Story. It is part of the Foxglove Comics webcomics collective.

Plot[edit]

Tamberlane takes place in the town of Treehollow. The animal citizens of the town find a young human girl wondering alone in the woods. They have no idea what she is but she is too young to be on her own. Naming her Tamberlane, the bat/lemur hybrid Belfry adopts her, together with Oakewood, an old coyote librarian, they set out on a life changing journey of discovery.

The first chapter of Tamberlane, called "Lost Flowers", was made available in book form through Dreamy Star Comics in 2017.[2] Chapter 2, called "Our Little Cares", was made available in book form a year later.[3][4] A deluxe edition book including both chapters and additional sections was also made available.[5]
