Tauren[edit]

We have used official logos of characters, services and other media in the past (Google Groups, Facebook, The_Naked_Trucker_and_T-Bones_Show, Comedy Central, etc,...). It adds more to an article, information wise, by presenting visually who is/was behind the project with easy to recognize media images.

If cluttering is the problem, I will reformat the flow of the images around. As for the gallery section, the two other images were already there when I first edited the article, so I asked artist Dustmeat permission to add her take on Taurens to balance (width wise) that section - Spirou 02:30, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok, some use of logos is reasonable if it helps with the understanding of the article. There were just a stack of so many without much commentary on them. If you think you can work them in reasonably, I'm sure there is some compromise. --Rat 07:50, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, one problem was the images of Activison and Blizzard. At the time, they were in talks to become one parent company, but no logos of the merged entity existed, so I had both up (a bit cluttering.) The Wikipedia article now lists the new company merged logo, so i replaced/delete two images out.
The Warcraft III and World of Warcraft were shrunken and moved to the historical section on the left side of the article to open the flow up better. I didn't re-add the images in the gallery as A) I wasn't aware of the {{Limited license}} regarding images and articles, and B) even if I do know now, I don't know their status as they were uploaded by somebody else.
I am in the process of combining in Photoshop the Warcraft III and World of Warcraft logos, to try to alleviate the number of images. As always, the article can improved even further, if we feel that there still to much clutter - Spirou 14:46, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
