Exclusion request[edit]
The subject of this article has requested personal exclusion. If you wish to object to this request, please do so within 24 hours. --GreenReaper(talk) 03:48, 9 July 2012 (EDT)
- Well, here we are again, though I find it hard to believe this was the end result that anyone involved really wanted. --GreenReaper(talk) 11:03, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
I thought it could be locked and nobody could edit it, not excluded? ~Sparky15756
- No, that is not an option we offer, precisely because nobody can edit it. This is a wiki. If you want a page which only you can edit, that is called a home page. --GreenReaper(talk) 12:10, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
Oh o.o I could of sworn SuburbanFox said it was possible to edit-and-lock an article so it's still visible but not editable, if that's not the case then I might as well just undo the re-re-exclusion DX This ain't even funny for a day like today D: ~Sparky15756
- As you wish. We did at one point offer that for a very few exclusion requests. It was good to try it, but in practice the pages were not updated and most had issues with neutrality or insufficient coverage, and we eventually fully excluded them. This left us more convinced than ever that articles should be publicly editable. --GreenReaper(talk) 16:17, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
History Removal[edit]
Just wondering if anyone would object to removing the logs of history and changes to this page, just wanting to start afresh and not have the past be looked upon that much. :) --Sparky(talk) 09:25, 30 March 2013 GMT
- I object. There seems to be no legitimate reason for hiding the original edits to this article.--Higgs Raccoon 16:10, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
- OK, well, it was done before your objection, so let's give an opportunity for discussion before rolling it back - Sparky, do you have a more specific reason for the removal of particular revisions than preventing others from seeing the evolution of the article? (These revisions are not indexed, though they are publicly available.) --GreenReaper(talk) 16:17, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
- My main reason for objecting is that on every other article on WikiFur, edits are only hidden if there are personal details or sensitive information that need to be suppressed for reasons of privacy or safety. I don't see that being the case here, and I don't think we should be hiding edits away for no good reason. Being able to see how articles evolve (all of them) is a learning tool for editors old and new.--Higgs Raccoon 16:10, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
- As Sparky has not given any further justification for his request, and there is no consensus to accede to it, I will restore the edits concerned. --GreenReaper(talk) 13:58, 6 April 2013 (EDT)
