Popularity in Furry Art[edit]

should we include something about how attractive she is to some furries? the same thing has (debatedly) happened on the krystal article. -- User:Tubecritic999 23:27, January 6, 2009

I wouldn't put it that way. But we can include information about her popular usage in Furry Art. There are also many derived versions of this character, like with added female breasts (very common), modified facial features (also called Gijinka or Kemonomimi) or more rare a male version. There is erotic art too but I wouldn't focus on just that. Renamon is used like a stereotype vixen in many cases, also because of the obvious vulpine resemblance. --Yamavu 11:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Merging[edit]

I don't think that this article should be merged. Like Lucario, this monster deserves own article. I encountered her in art many times not knowing what she is, taking her for a Jolteon pokemorph. If this article was expanded and cleaned up, it could be very useful to clear the matter.

Unfortunately, in this case I cannot help much. EvilCat 17:36, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

I agree. Renamon is the single most popular Digimon in the world today due to being a furry and a fox (the second most popular type of furry, or so the list said last I checked), and as pointed out on her article, the only one to appear in Garry's Mod. If it weren't for her, Digimon probably would have been long forgotten. Offhand I can't think of any more Digimon who count as furries aside from WereGarurumon, Gatomon, and Etemon, but I'm sure there must be a lot I'm missing, but I know a lot of them like Vegiemon (vegetable), Myotismon (vampire), Devimon (demon), Kimeramon (cross between many), Datamon (android), and the Dark Masters (unless MetalSeadramon counts?) aren't, most of them are either unique in appearance or else appearing as some form of talking animal (but I suppose that counts too). Those who are anthromorphic should have their own articles on here as Renamon does.
Besides, Renamon is one of the two most popular female furries, the other being Krystal, and I've seen them and Lucario in art many times, sometimes together. Everyone's furry for Renamon. And I must say, seeing Krystal, Renamon, and Lucario together is like seeing Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the same movie. (And at that, the same scene... which they finally do in The Expendables) Ghostkaiba297 05:21, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Right now the Digimon article is good the way it is, in my opinion. Listing most of the digimon who count as furries, including the talking animal type ones, and linking to their individual articles here. No merge is required in my opinion, but I'm not an admin... Garry's Mod[edit]

Is it really appropriate to have the section relating to Renamon in Garry's Mod at all? It's not accurate (Renamon is not included in Garry's Mod, it is a third-party model) and is mostly discussing DasBoSchitt's use of this model - which has just turned into an edit war in recent time accusing him of being an anti-fur (which he isn't). Propose removing this section. — beeps (talk, contribs) 07:43, 1 June 2011 (EDT)
