Going by what pages link to this article, this term may be specific to the UK. -- Sine 22:25, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

It is very likely, by the UK posts and sites that use the term, that it's specific to the UK furry fandom. Needs to be reworded - Spirou 20:12, 5 June 2013 (EDT)

Merge[edit]

I do not believe the assertion that a Furmeet under 20 people cannot be classified as a fur meet. I would instead suggest these are synonyms for the same thing, and I would propose this article be merged into Furmeet, with a redirect added here to point to it. --BlueOtter 16:43, 18 July 2012 (EDT)

From my reading, this is a distinct term in the UK. While the article should be clearer, I don't think it should be merged. -- Sine 17:03, 18 July 2012 (EDT)
Monthly minimeets are often tied to a larger meet (such as the two main meets in Leeds) which normally attracts more attendees than the average minimeet. - Mikune 00:49, 6 June 2013
Agree on UK furry's term (almost) exclusivity. Needs rewrite - Spirou 20:12, 5 June 2013 (EDT)
