Is this relevant to the furry fandom, or can it be made to be relevant? Perhaps we should have a larger page discussing the topic of gender identity and sexual relations in the furry fandom in general? --GreenReaper^(talk) 05:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Well... the subject certainly comes up quite a lot in the fandom, but I'm personally unsure how it could be made into something focusing on the fandom. Unless we want to pick some very specific points about it (Viewpoints on a person's choice of their character's preferences? Given my experience, it's very hard to do that without thoroughly pissing someone off.), the Wikipedia article certainly does an adequate job of explaining it. DataBank 04:50, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Is it perhaps particularly prevalent in the fandom? I heard one girl mention that she'd had about three "offers" from guys at conventions . . . and about fifteen from girls. It's a bit much to extrapolate from just one person, though. :-) --GreenReaper^(talk) 04:55, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Deletion

Nominate for deletion as this article focuses on term that is better defined on wikipedia and does not specifically involve the furry community other than the fact that some furries may be lesbian. -- DeVandalizer 04:52, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

In addition our topic page Gay may already cover this aspect of furrydom. Perhaps we should merge this article with Gay and move it to Homosexuality and cover both of these topics as they relate to the furry fandom but point to Wikipedia for a more comprehensive discription and discussion for general reference . -- DeVandalizer 05:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I think this and gay should be merged into a new article, homosexuality. Similarly, bisexuality and heterosexuality should be addressed, specifically relating to the furry fandom and prevalance (or perceived lack thereof, in respects to "straight furs"). Spaz Kitty 20:48, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Hmm. Maybe an overarching article along the lines of Sexual Orientation in Furry Fandom? This could pull from David Rust's study on the sociology of furry fandom (huh - I thought we had an article on that essay already). Granted, the data is six years old, but it's the most complete study I know of out there, and it far trumps any anecdotal evidence. ----DuncanDaHusky^(talk) 12:23, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
