Talk:KE Films

I'd suggest trimming down the paragraphs about the collaborators to just the parts that are relevant to their work with the film company, and if necessary merge the removed content into their respective person articles. If no one objects I'll probably do this myself when I have a little more time. --mwalimu 14:34, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Requesting permission and someone to delete this page from WikiFur as it is a high result when searched for from Google and I prefer the attention to be on our actual site --Equium, 20:59, 5 December 2009 (GMT)

We have a template, {{noindex}}, that should prevent the article from being indexed by search engines. I'll have to bounce off a couple of other admins here to get a consensus on whether its use is appropriate here (it was primarily intended for articles about people), but at the very least it seems like better solution than blanking or deleting the article. --mwalimu 17:50, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
I don't feel the use of noindex is really called for in this situation. Equium, I've linked your website, which should help anyone who does stumble across this page to get there, but honestly you need to do a bit more work on it and give it time to reach the appropriate ranking. I see a lot of "insert body text here" and empty menu items in the flash version, and the meta description is set to nothing. (Probably doesn't help that it's all flash, too - it looks like it's doing something funky with a text version, but that risks problems with Google if it's seen as "hiding" text.) Once you have had a better site out for few weeks, and have linked to it from all appropriate locations, it is likely to rise to the top. --GreenReaper(talk) 21:09, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the website advice, we're working on it because we're not very good at building websites. Our website is in fact top search for "KE Films", but after advertising KE Films on Facebook, I had a bit of anti-fur responses after people found out about KE Films through WikiFur, and it was something I wanted to avoid. I would still appreciate it if this WikiFur page could be deleted. --equium 20:17, 8 December 2009 (GMT)

Still no news about deleting this then? I'm going to prod again as the KE Films staff would like it taken off. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Equium (talkcontribs) .

My opinion remains the same. It's not an article about a person, but about a business. You can't just say "we don't want to be covered" and expect it to happen, especially when you are active in the fandom and courting support from furry fans. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:40, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Well that's very thoughtful from your point of view, but as a business, we'd like it removed. In your opinion, it should stay, but you're not a part of the business and we don't want this page to come up, as it does, on Google searches when we are making our own website. We are discussing abandoning the FA pages as you type and removing KE Films from furry sites (especially as it's not KE any more and we want to branch out further). So I shall ask again to make this process easier for everyone and delete it. ~EQ.

What you do in the future is your call. If your company does nothing else in furry fandom, there will be nothing for us to add. But that does not take away what you have done in the past. It is a part of our history. And that is what a WikiFur article is; a record of history. It is not a promotional service that you can discontinue if you feel it has become an inconvenience to your organization.
I have trimmed down the personal information which was irrelevant to the topic of your collaboration. As you say it is not specifically furry-oriented anymore, I have also removed that qualifier. I've retitled the history section as "fandom activity" to indicate that it is just a part of your activities — the part we are interested in — and I've notified Google to refresh its cached copy.
If you are dissatisfied with the search results, I suggest you consult Google's webmaster guidelines for tips on improving your own site, rather than trying to "eliminate the competition." --GreenReaper(talk) 02:31, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your co-operation. Eq.

On deletion[edit]

I'm siding with GreenReaper and I ask that you stop with the unilateral deletion of content. We can exclude this from Google's indexing for you if you're worried about the content being indexed by a search engine. Again, please stop with the deletions. --RayneVanDunem 23:35, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

---Please put a cover-up mute or something on as KE is no longer operating in the fandom, is no longer run by Kuga and Equium and is in the hands of non-furry management. The new producers have asked us to remove the company from listings while management is organised. I'd appreciate it if this is removed as I feel you are being rather unfair in keeping an article up about me which I do not want, despite my attempts at removing it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Equium (talkcontribs) .

The preferred way to handle this would be to update the article to state that the firm has changed ownership/management and the former operators are no longer involved. Wikifur is not just about describing the present state of things but is also about giving a historical account of past events. --mwalimu 04:19, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Split/merge?[edit]

If my reading of the article is correct, KE Films was behind one particular video production. Perhaps the content could be split/merged into separate artciles, such as about the people involved, leaving KE Films to be a redirect or disambiguation? -- Sine 23:19, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
